Wir haben es uns bei dem zeitweise regnerischen Wetter im Elkhus gemütlich gemacht. Ofen und Sauna haben dazu beigetragen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein ruhiger Ort an der Hauptstraße aber uns hat es im April gar nicht gestört. Mit etwas Meerblick. Meiner Meinung nach bei der Ausstattung wurde an alles gedacht, uns hat nichts gefehlt.

"Tastefully furnished, brand new wooden house with excellent facilities. Slightly sensitive due to the construction, and not completely quiet due to its location on the village street. Still highly recommended. The disproportionately high price for bed linen and towels is disturbing."

We enjoyed our time in the Elkhus very much. It has great facilities (high-quality and extensive), is lovingly furnished with comfortable beds and has a practical location near the beach. There is a very nice restaurant within walking distance of the beach. We would absolutely recommend the house. The only deduction point is that the location is right by the road. However, it was nice and quiet in the evenings and at night, and we slept well.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the house! The only drawback was that upon arrival, the window sills (dead flies) and the decorative pillows on the beds (a slight layer of dust on the top) were not completely clean, and there was sand in the kitchen and hallway. From our side, the installation of fly screens might be useful here. The large bathroom is very spacious and nicely furnished, but the shower partition did not really fulfill its purpose towards the bathroom door, as you always flooded half of the bathroom while showering (there was only a "half partition" towards the door side, and it also did not have a floor-level rubber lip at the bottom of the separating glass, so the bath mat was constantly completely soaked). Especially when families with children stay here, we think this could still be improved. However, the beachfront location, beautiful ambiance of the house, and really extensive equipment fully compensated for these points of criticism. The new outdoor shower provided a grateful refreshment on the particularly hot days during our stay when we returned from the beach heated and still slightly sandy. Speaking of the beach: during the week it was not too crowded (on weekends during Corona times it's better to go a little earlier - it gets crowded after 10:30 a.m.!), and it had everything you need. A narrow, stony entrance into the water, then fine sand and a long, flat bay, including nice waves. The beach was clean and monitored by the DLR, and the public toilets were pleasantly clean. Thumbs up! Also, the service of the rental agency was impeccable, no matter what kind of problem we had (sun umbrella, construction work at the neighboring property from August 17th, 2020), they immediately took care of it quickly and always friendly. The landlord also generously accommodated us with the rental price due to the noise pollution - thank you very much for that! Regarding the surrounding gastronomy, there was always something to our taste. Especially noteworthy is the "Düne 56" right on the beach of Rettin with the most delicious Matjesbrötchen at the snack bar, great pizzas, salads, burgers and the Gyrosteller. Everything was incredibly good and the service was always super friendly - absolute recommendation!!! Conclusion: It definitely wasn't our last vacation there - we would love to come back. We had an incredibly beautiful time!!! Best regards from Upper Franconia!

The holiday home is tastefully furnished and really fully equipped. The beach is within easy walking distance. In bad weather we used the sauna, a game collection and a fully equipped kitchen. Despite the changeable weather: a perfect holiday!
