Felanitx is a town in the south-east of the island of Majorca. The town is a short distance from the coastal towns of Cala d'Or and Portocolom. Felanitx is a culturally significant town with over 18,000 inhabitants and built in the 13th century. The place is also known for its cognac with around 60 distilleries in the area. The centre is famous for its pottery production and there are nice pottery souvenirs for sale. The centre of Felanitx is home to the beautiful Holy Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel church, where festivals are also regularly organised. Also characteristic are the narrow streets and old houses.
Market:
Every Sunday morning, the square near the church hosts a lively market with lots of local and fresh produce but also handmade pottery, cognac and toys. Felanitx has good shopping facilities for daily shopping, many local products can be found such as the local wine and pottery.
Many beautiful beaches e.g. Cala d'Or 10 km away.
Portocolom is 12 km south-east of Felanitx, it is Mallorca's largest natural harbour.
An authentic and therefore picturesque fishing town in a small bay. You can always find a spot just for you on the various beaches, even during high season.

We are a family with 2 children and enjoy our beautifully renovated house in Felanitx during the holidays. The house has a nice quiet sheltered garden where you can enjoy the pool and the sun. The house is right in the centre, within walking distance of all facilities such as shops, bakery, restaurants, coffee shops and the daily fresh market and weekly market on Sundays. Felanitx's location is 30 km from the airport and 10 km from the beaches. It is a beautiful area for cycling, hiking and golf. We rent our house and are always available to you for information around booking via email or phone and app. Our regular hostess Margarita has been taking care of the tour on arrival and cleaning for years.
