Welcome to our holiday home " tofree" in Emden.
Completely renovated and newly furnished.
Tofree is Low German and means satisfied. And that is what we would like to offer you in our holiday home. A relaxing and contented holiday. Our house is located in a quiet suburb of Emden, about 10 minutes walk from the dyke or 5 km from the city centre.
From here you can start great cycling tours (dollar route), excursions and walks. Or simply make yourself comfortable on the terrace / garden.
Our holiday home is a non-smoking house and has 4 bedrooms, suitable for up to 6 people.
On the barrier-free ground floor you will find the kitchen, living room, hallway, bathroom (shower at ground level) and one of the bedrooms (bed 2 x 2 m).
From the hallway you have direct access to the terrace and garden, as well as the parking space (wallbox available)
Another 3 bedrooms and a hallway are on the upper floor.2 rooms with one bed each (0,90 x 2 m),1 room with two beds (1 x 2 m).
If required, a travel cot and a high chair can be provided.
You can look forward to an extensively equipped kitchen with refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, fully automatic coffee machine, etc. as well as a cosy living room with couch corner, TV and free Wi-Fi.
The house has a sun terrace (with awning), a private garden and a private parking space. In a storage room next to the terrace you will find useful things like chair cushions, gas grill, clothes horse and an ironing board.
This is a non-smoking house. Animals are allowed by arrangement.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday home "tofree" is quietly located in a small suburb of Emden.
Upon arrival, you will have your own parking space at your disposal. If you are travelling with an electric car, the charging station is located directly at the parking space. (Charging for a fee).
Bicycles that you bring with you can be safely stored in a lockable storage room.
From here you can start great cycling tours by bike. There is the possibility to cycle in front of the dike, on the water side, in the direction of Petkum, where you will find, among other things, the ferry dock to Ditzum, or you can cycle a little further and visit the Ems barrage in Gandersum. It is also possible to drive in the other direction via the outer harbour (sea lock) towards the city centre.
It is also possible to use the Dollart cycle routes. These routes are signposted.
There are several pedestrian zones in the city centre that invite you to stroll and linger.
Since the Emder Delft reaches directly into the city centre, you can visit our museum ship or the sea rescue cruiser here. A walk completely around the Delft is also great. And while you're in the city centre, Emden also has a lot to offer culturally: the Óstfriesische Landesmuseum, the Bunkermuseum, the Kunsthalle and the Johannes a Lasco Library are all located here, not to mention the Otto Museum, popular with young and old.
There is also plenty to discover on the water. Either by pedal boat/canoe, which you can hire at the paddle and pedal station, or quite comfortably with a motorised harbour or canal trip.
In summer, our Delft beach is located at the harbour gate, where you can enjoy beach flair directly on the water. There you can not only eat and drink, but you can also rent SUPs, pedal boats or e-boats and try them out directly in the Delft.
Ferries are available in Petkum and at the outer harbour. From Petkum you can cross over to the small fishing village of Ditzum, also by bike. From the outer harbour you can go to the island of Borkum, by ferry or catamaran.
If you fancy a swim, there are 2 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool (with sauna) in Emden. If that's not for you....then head for the beach.
The beach is located at the Knock. Since it's a bit out of the way, a car or e-bikes are an advantage. Use of the beach is free of charge. A restaurant caters for your physical well-being.
Within a radius of 1 km from the holiday home there are several supermarkets (Netto, Edeka, Lidl), bakeries, petrol station, bank branches, pharmacy, hairdressers, flower shop and several restaurants / snack bars (some with delivery service)
On Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, there is a weekly market in the town centre on the market square (until 13.00).

Very good.
The house was perfectly clean, well-equipped, and very comfortably furnished. There are many small comfort details to discover everywhere.
Everything you need for a vacation is there. We immediately felt comfortable.
The location is very quiet, simply perfect.
Very nice landlords.

Super clean and super equipped!!!
We have been there for the second time already and have already reserved for next year. The owner lives two houses down and is super friendly and committed. The little house is beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need. The highlight is definitely the protected garden with terrace, perfect for relaxing.

everything is good
we found everything as described. Many small details in the household that are missing in other vacation homes are available here, which makes the start of the vacation good!

Very satisfied
In the house everything is on one level, also 1 bedroom is downstairs. Upstairs there are 3 more bedrooms. There is a lot to discover in the immediate surroundings by bike or bus. The vacation was great.

Beautiful holiday home
We can highly recommend this holiday home. the whole house is beautifully furnished down to the last detail...There are supermarkets and everything nearby...The sea to Norddeich is 35 minutes away....
