Additionally, upon request, you can get admission to the bathing and sauna paradise of the "Ahoi-Thalassobad" (incl. with seawater wave pool, thermal pools, whirlpools and a current channel as well as a premium sauna area with sauna garden and sea view) can be added at a reasonable price either for individual days or for your entire stay. Since we have acquired and furnished several holiday apartments over the past almost 20 years, we have incorporated our now extensive experience into the design of the furnishings and have therefore deliberately chosen high-quality yet cozy decor in a maritime-Mediterranean style, which offers all kinds of extras and is intended to invite you to feel at home and relax. Look forward, among other things, to a completely new bathroom with towel heater, wellness bathroom radio with wall speaker, washing machine, hairdryer, and comfort shower with floor-level shower tray, tropical rain shower as well as hand shower, a high-quality and fully equipped Nobilia kitchen in elegant country house style with, among other things. Dishwasher, 4-zone induction stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, Senseo coffee pad machine as well as an additional high-quality Nespresso machine, a comfortable living/dining room with a cozy corner sofa (which is also a double sofa bed), a comfortable and multi-adjustable recliner with footstool, a ceiling fan, an electric roller shutter, a dining table for four people, an internet-enabled digital stereo system with DAB reception, a DVD and Blu-ray player, as well as a high-quality 4K Ultra-HD television from Philips with a 139 cm screen diagonal, satellite connection, Ambilight background lighting and Internet TV, as well as integrated cinema sound speakers from Bowers & Wilkins. Since the bedroom is located at the end of the apartment hallway, it is pleasantly quiet, so that "late risers" and "early birds" do not get in each other's way. The bedroom, harmoniously furnished in a maritime style, is equipped, among other things, with a comfortable double bed by the brand "Hasena" and reading lamps as well as another internet-enabled television with satellite connection. An opaque, electrically operated roller shutter, adjustable slatted frames, comfortable spring mattresses, and insect screens also ensure a high level of sleeping comfort.
From the living/dining room, you then reach the highlight of our holiday apartment through a spacious patio sliding door: the covered loggia with direct access to your personal terrace area as well as the generously sized, well-maintained, and very quietly located garden, planted with lawn, hedges, and shrubs. Your fully covered and wind-protected loggia is equipped with an aluminum table, four high-quality, multi-adjustable and very comfortable recliner chairs with cushions, so you can eat, read or simply relax here and let your gaze wander over the surrounding meadows and fields, as the loggia facing the sunny southwest side, the terrace, and the adjoining garden border directly on the charming Duhnen natural landscape, which seamlessly merges into the Cuxhaven coastal heath. For the outdoor area (e.g. the terrace or the garden), you are also welcome to use the multi-adjustable recliner chairs as well as our garden loungers with sun protection. A large sun umbrella and a grill cart with an electric grill including a cover are also available to our guests.
Also available are, among other things, a key safe, a "real" internet flat rate via Wi-Fi, an Echo speaker with Alexa, a telephone with landline flat rate, a special lighting concept, a private car parking space as well as a lockable bicycle box for two bicycles.

Another special feature of our holiday flat is the special lighting concept, which includes maritime design lamps, an illuminated cloudy sky, various wall and reading lamps as well as an approx. six-metre long light strip on the living room ceiling for harmonious indirect lighting, which can therefore be easily adjusted to one's own preferences by switch or remote control (for example, in addition to the brightness, the intensity and the light colours can also be adjusted. It is also easy to select suggested light scenes such as "sunset in the savannah" or "northern lights at dusk").
As we are aware of how important a stable and fast internet is nowadays, we have equipped our holiday flat with a "real" broadband internet connection, which has a speed of approx. 50 MBit/s and no data volume restrictions or device limitations, as is otherwise common in many holiday flats, so that our guests can use it free of charge and as they are used to at home via W-LAN. In addition, a telephone for incoming calls and calls to the German landline network is available to our guests free of charge.
FURTHER EQUIPMENT DETAILS:
In addition to the rooms and furnishings already described, our completely ground-level Strandoase holiday flat also has its own front door (so you don't have to use the staircase), a private letterbox (e.g. for the forwarded newspaper). (e.g. for the forwarded newspaper), a key safe, an entrance area with hallway and small corridor, wardrobe, bench with shoe storage compartments, multi-purpose cupboard and full-length mirror, various detailed aerial photographs of towns and landscapes from the region, a lockable storage room accessible from your loggia, a large cupboard in the living room as well as two Echo speakers (which can of course be switched off if desired) with Alexa voice control and access to over 90 million songs and various digital radio stations. In addition, DVDs from a wide range of topics, various books and board games as well as several interactive DVD games are available for a sociable (games) evening.
Our guests also have their own, marked parking space directly at the house. You are also welcome to bring your own bicycles (or a handcart, a tricycle, a beach buggy, a stunt kite, etc.) and store them in our lockable, fully weather-protected bicycle box near the car park.
Right next to the neighbouring house there is also a beautifully landscaped children's playground with a slide, sandpit, swing and climbing element as well as a garden bench for a cosy picnic.

The North Sea spa Cuxhaven/Duhnen - which is also affectionately called the "box seat on the North Sea" because of its privileged location - has a lot to offer: Here you can expect, among other things, a kilometre-long sandy beach, the sheer endless mudflats (mudflat hiking!), a wonderful beach & spa promenade to stroll along as well as a huge network of hiking, walking & cycling paths. The North Sea resort of Cuxhaven consists of various districts and seaside resorts, of which your holiday resort Duhnen is the absolute centrepiece of this elongated chain of spas. In Duhnen you will find a very good infrastructure, a historic town centre, excellent gastronomic facilities and a wide range of sports and leisure activities for young and old. Duhnen is also located on the busiest shipping route in the world! More than 60,000 ships pass the "Kugelbake' - "the gateway to the world" - every year. So you can really get your fill of the big cruise ships, ferries and other 'pots' here. Various leisure activities and adventure museums (e.g. the Klimahaus) are also located in Cuxhaven and the surrounding area.

Due to our cooperation with the Ahoi Thermal-, Erlebnis- und Wellenbad, which is located directly in your holiday resort Cuxhaven-Duhnen and thus only a few minutes' walk from your holiday flat, we can now offer our guests the following (each including underground parking space):
-> Our "BADEPARADIES-PAKET": Admission to the large bathing world with, among other things, surf pool with wave action and "real", salty sea water from the North Sea, whirlpool, outdoor pool with bubble loungers and current channel, thermal pool with waterfall, children's paradise, giant slide as well as large lounger area with a view of the North Sea. -> When booking, our guests receive 6x 2 hours free admission to the bathing world of the Ahoi-Bad for a surcharge of only EUR 3.00 per person per night. -> The total price of this package for 2 persons is thus 42.00 EUR for 6x 2 hours free admission to the bathing world, which you can divide up individually among all your fellow travellers and the days of your holiday that suit you best. Wellness oasis
The apartment is a small feel-good oasis with everything you need. It is very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. The apartment is perfect for 2 people and a dog. The location and proximity to the town, the beach promenade, and of course the beach and Wadden Sea is very good, and it takes only 10 minutes to walk there. The central location invites excursions to Cuxhaven and Bremerhaven without sitting in the car for hours. A trip to the nearby area and one, or better yet two trips to Bremerhaven are highly recommended, given the number of attractions. Duhnen is a very lively holiday resort on the North Sea with beautiful shops and very good gastronomy. There is truly something for everyone here.

Perfectly happy!

The holiday apartment was/is great.
There is nothing to complain about. Everything went perfectly. We would book the apartment again and can recommend it with a clear conscience.
The apartment also has an ideal location for us. It is situated in a quiet area, there is plenty of space for the dog to run, and on the other hand, you are just a few minutes' walk from the center with a large selection of restaurants. The proximity to the beach is also not to be underestimated!
Additionally, we felt wonderfully cared for by your personal contact. If there had been any difficulties, we would have been in the best hands with you. This way, one can vacation without worries.

It was a beautiful vacation in Duhnen with many varied excursions. The location of the holiday apartment - the proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants - easily reachable on foot in a short time - pleased us very much. The beautiful beach, the Wadden Sea, the green coastal protection belt, and the extensive hinterland with the nature reserves were a feast for the eyes. We particularly enjoyed the spaciousness in nature. The apartment is furnished for comfort and equipped with special effects, everything excellently thought out with a love for design. Nothing was missing! The hosts have compiled detailed information about the stay in an information folder. From our perspective, perfect!!!

Everything's great!
A very beautiful, dreamy vacation apartment where nothing is lacking. Everything is available. Centrally located, whether to the beach, city, or fields, where you can reach everything with a dog.
