Our luxurious, spacious house is located on the exclusive Thesen Island directly on the water with its own boat dock and pool.
It has been completely renovated and is very high-quality and tastefully decorated, meeting the highest standards.
The house features 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a guest toilet, a large living/dining room with a relaxation area, a wood-burning stove, and an open kitchen. From all rooms, there is a breathtaking view of the water. From the upper bedrooms, one can access the upper covered terrace, where there is a hot tub.
The large covered terrace with dining table and sun loungers, the jetty with sofa and armchairs, and the courtyard with its herb garden invite you to relax and enjoy.
Above the garage is the 4th bedroom with a bathroom in the form of a small apartment with its own kitchen and terrace. There are 2 canoes available and for those who are not interested in water sports or swimming, can ride bicycles, play tennis or squash, putt 18 holes, (the courts are on Thesen Island), run, hike, fish, take beach walks, or play golf on one of the 12 golf courses in and around Knysna. Toward Plettenberg Bay (20-30km) there have been very good wineries especially for MCC, offering wine tasting and lunch amidst the vineyards for some time. . . . . There are numerous excursion options in the nearby area such as diving with sharks, visiting ostrich farms, walking with elephants, horseback riding, visiting animal parks, safaris, cave hiking, quad biking, sailing, and much more...
Thesen Island is an island that was formed about 30 years ago and consists of approximately 500 houses. It is located in the Knysna Lagoon within a huge nature reserve. The island can be accessed by boat or via a bridge with 24/7 security control. Knysna is located along the famous Garden Route and is known for its oysters. In town, there is a mall, various supermarkets, craft markets, numerous shops, restaurants, and bars. At the Waterfront and Thesen Harbour Town, there are several boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The marina is also worth a visit. Everything is within walking distance.
