One of the most beautiful forest- and water-regions in Friesland is undoubtedly in the municipality of Skarsterlân, between the lake Tjeukemeer and the Langweerder Wielen, nearby Sint Nicolaasga and Langweer. The combination of forest and lakes offers plenty of possibilities to find active relaxation. The area is perfectly suited for hiking, cycling and horsebackriding, golfing and watersports. This superb recreational area also hosts the century-old Landgoed Eysinga-State. The property is splendidly situated on sandy grounds between Sint Nicolaasga and Langweer. On the property you will find the former farm the "Blaauwpleats", a restaurant full of atmosphere . At the reception-desk you can find all information about the many possibilities for excursins in the area.
Very recently, luxurious holiday-farms have been built on Landgoed Eysinga-State. Inspired on the traditional farms of Friesland and Drente, they are provided with luxurious facilities such as: dishwasher, washing-machine, dryer and combi-microwave. The farm is partly thatched with reed and its romantic feel integrates perfectly with the afforested surroundings of St. Nicolaasga. On top of that, all farms are bordering the water: the Houtvaart or the centrally situated pond, which is in open connection with the Langweerder Wielen. So, from each holiday-farm, one can moor a smack or another small boat to reach the Frisian lakes. The holiday-farms are suited for up to 6 persons.
This holiday park, where beautiful and authentic small farms are scattered over a landscape of trees and ponds, offers a lot of possibilities. The surroundings are perfect for hiking, cycling, horseback-riding, golf and for watersports.

Beautiful house! Equipped with all conveniences. It's just a pity that there was no covering outside. Because of that, we couldn't sit outside due to the bad weather.
