Location and surroundings of object
One of the most beautiful forest- and water-regions in Friesland is undoubtedly in the municipality of Skarsterlân, between the lake Tjeukemeer and the Langweerder Wielen, nearby Sint Nicolaasga and Langweer. The combination of forest and lakes offers plenty of possibilities to find active relaxation. The area is perfectly suited for hiking, cycling and horsebackriding, golfing and watersports. This superb recreational area also hosts the century-old Landgoed Eysinga-State. The property is splendidly situated on sandy grounds between Sint Nicolaasga and Langweer. On the property you will find the former farm the "Blaauwpleats", a restaurant full of atmosphere . At the reception-desk you can find all information about the many possibilities for excursins in the area.
Very recently, luxurious holiday-farms have been built on Landgoed Eysinga-State. Inspired on the traditional farms of Friesland and Drente, they are provided with luxurious facilities such as: dishwasher, washing-machine, dryer and combi-microwave. The farm is partly thatched with reed and its romantic feel integrates perfectly with the afforested surroundings of St. Nicolaasga. On top of that, all farms are bordering the water: the Houtvaart or the centrally situated pond, which is in open connection with the Langweerder Wielen. So, from each holiday-farm, one can moor a smack or another small boat to reach the Frisian lakes. The holiday-farms are suited for up to 6 persons.
This holiday park, where beautiful and authentic small farms are scattered over a landscape of trees and ponds, offers a lot of possibilities. The surroundings are perfect for hiking, cycling, horseback-riding, golf and for watersports.

The cottage looks nice in the picture, is nice at the water.But unfortunately the inside is dirty, dog hair on the ground, cobwebs everywhere. mattresses are soft. Not nice to enter.

Very cute, cozy house. Great bathrooms, bedrooms and location. Kitchen is a bit small to sixth, but perfectly adequate. Was a very nice stay.

We have never been "a complete house sleep.The are very spacious cottages with all amenities. The park itself is nothing to do, so for children playing the bungalows are less suitable.

Wonderfully spacious, cosily furnished and equipped with everything you need! Garden with lots of privacy and seats everywhere. Always a spot in sun or shade, just what you want. In the area you can enjoy beautiful walks or rent a (sailing) boat. We had a great week!

The accomodation is quite large, clean and well appointed. All that is needed is present. It is nice to be in the accommodation, even with worse weather. The cottages are close to each other, but through the spacious gardens you will not notice anything about it. Very nice that there is good Wifi in the house. The only jammer is that not all the houses are on the water, which we did not care about.

A lovely week away to explore Friesland. Fine that there was a bedstead, so we could sleep downstairs with the dog. Friendly and helpful staff. Go and rent a boat that may have on the Estate. Suggestions would be welcome, however, such as eating and drinking take or how to get out temporarily and the boat to shut, because with the jerry can with petrol walking is not something you do quickly.

This year is not even over the limit. We sat on a beautiful park with plenty of entertainment so that the children do not have to get bored. I was always of the opinion that Friesland was flat and that there was little to do. Nothing is less true, especially in the areas around the lakes was constantly doing something. Do not forget to also look to enter the water. In the park itself there are boats to rent for a reasonable price. You sit in an instant on the larger waters. If therefore the weather is still nothing can go wrong.

We have been here at this park during the summer and it was a great holiday. Nice quiet park with lots of privacy and nice houses. Nice tip when the weather rent a boat at the park and you sail as one of the Frisian lakes! The Hot Air Balloon Festival (in summer) in Joure are within cycling distance and definitely worth it! In the immediate vicinity beautiful cycling opportunities.
