Location and surroundings of object
Villa Iduna is only about 100 metres from the fine sandy beach. You can reach the promenade on foot. You can stroll along it, past elaborately restored villas in typical seaside resort style, to the pier. It is the second longest on Rügen, after Sellin. A popular photo motif is the Kurhaus with the spa square and bandstand in front of it. In the historic centre of Binz there are numerous cafés, restaurants, bars and small shops. After a day at the beach, it's a great place to stroll in the evening.
The railway station is the start and destination for many German IC/ICE connections. Travelling by train is therefore no problem. It is only about 1,000 metres / 12 minutes' walk to the accommodation. However, there is another railway station in Binz. The "Rasende Roland", a historic narrow-gauge railway, departs from the small railway station. A trip on it is a must during a holiday on Rügen. The Roland train connects Göhren, Baabe, Sellin, the Granitz hunting lodge and Binz with Putbus/Lauterbach Mole (with other stops in between).
If you like cycling, you should take a trip to the Mönchgut peninsula and visit the former fishing villages of Thiessow, Klein Zicker and Gager. A short walk through the Zicker Mountains is also worthwhile. Hikers get their money's worth especially around Sassnitz. If you are good on foot, you should take a tour along the steep coast to the Königsstuhl. There are wonderful photo opportunities along the way (chalk cliffs).

Great location close to the beach
Well accessible by train and bus. Great location, and everything necessary was included in the apartment.
What we would have liked are cushions for the lounge and for the chairs on the balcony.
One annoyance, however, was the ants in the hallway, which crawled in under the front door. But after we reported this, two ant traps were brought to us a few hours later, so the problem could be contained locally.
