There are places where you want to stay because they are simply beautiful. Without a doubt, this is one of them. As soon as you cross the causeway onto the island, a feeling of freedom and relaxation sets in. Here you can take a deep breath and arrive in the lovingly furnished holiday flat Ankerplatz. On 32 m² there is enough space for up to 2 adults + toddler. A living area with an open kitchen invites you to spend cosy hours together. In the separate bedroom you can relax and sleep in. WLAN and satellite TV provide digital entertainment.
There are several seating areas in front of the house and in the courtyard. A barbecue is at your disposal. You can park in front of the house free of charge.

The Baltic Sea island of Poel, which can be reached by car via a causeway, offers great recreational value. The island is a state-recognised resort as well as a recognised Baltic Sea spa. The holiday flat is centrally located and yet very quiet in Kirchdorf, the centre of the island of Poel. All facilities are within short walking distance. Within 2 to 10 minutes you can reach e.g. supermarket, bakery, bicycle rental, harbour, fishermen, restaurants, cafés, museum, playground, small shops, passenger shipping and tourist information.
Leisure and excursions
By car you can quickly reach the Hanseatic city of Wismar and the Baltic Sea resorts of Rerik and Kühlungsborn. Popular excursion destinations include the historic old town and harbour in Wismar, the Wonnemar leisure and adventure pool or the lighthouse in Bastorf. A visit to the Rostock Zoo and Schwerin Castle are also highly recommended.

Vacation in Kirchdorf
We spent a nice vacation in the holiday apartment Ankerplatz. The paths to the harbor of Kirchdorf were very good to walk. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The connection to Wismar was excellent with the ferry of the Adlerrederei; we used this crossing twice. The explanations of the ship's captain during the crossing were very informative.

Holiday Apartment Anchor Point
Only downside: Sitting outside for breakfast or in the evening is not recommended. You feel like you're on display. The seating is right in front of the property and all the people passing by can see us vacationers. So, there's no privacy possible. The holiday property itself is very clean and modern, so we felt very comfortable inside. It is suitable for vacationers who only have breakfast and sleep there and carry out their activities elsewhere. The host is very pleasant and friendly.

Island Poel a hidden gem !!?
The "Wohn. Ankerplatz" is a cozy, well-equipped apartment. From Kirchdorf, you can quickly walk to the harbor, and even the beautiful beach "zum Schwarzen Busch" is within walking distance. I felt very comfortable on the beautiful island and can only recommend it. A special tip: read the novel "Die Hoffnung der Marienkäfer"! The island is described very authentically there... I was fascinated. It was a great vacation!
