Are you looking for that "special" holiday home? With a large plot of land, right by the sea? With an exceptionally spacious living area and open kitchen?

Our holiday home "An der Nordsee" is located directly by the sea behind the dyke, on a 1,572 sqm plot in the first row of a small holiday home complex near the village of Wesselburenerkoog.

- 110 m² living space on two levels

Exact description

The house has
- 2 bedrooms with double beds. All bedrooms are closed rooms and all beds are accessible from both sides (no climbing over each other when "going to bed")

- A bathroom with WC, shower, corner bath with whirlpool and a sauna, as well as an additional shower room with WC.

It is therefore ideally suited for 4 people. But it is also perfect for 2 people if you like it a bit more spacious

From the living room with an open ceiling and a huge panoramic window with an unobstructed view of the dyke, a staircase leads to the upper area, where there is a gallery and one of the 2 bedrooms.

The holiday home is furnished to a very high standard and thus meets the highest demands

Special attention has been paid to the kitchen and its equipment. It is therefore also ideally suited for a relaxing holiday under the motto "cooking with friends or family"!

In the front area there is a large terrace, which is ideal for breakfast, because here you can already enjoy the rising sun in the morning. Separate garden furniture is available for this terrace.

At the back, there is another large terrace from which you have an unobstructed view of the dyke. Here you can enjoy the sun all day long until it sets. There is garden furniture for 6 people and two wooden loungers at your disposal.

In "North Sea weather" you can make yourself comfortable by the crackling fireplace in the living room.

You can use the washing machine and dryer in the utility room free of charge at any time.

Location and surroundings of object

From here you can set off on exciting excursions or to many attractive destinations in the surrounding area.

St. Peter Ording, the large North Sea resort, offers probably the most beautiful, widest beach in Germany/Europe and can be reached in about 10 minutes by car. In addition to wellness & bathing fun with a giant slide in the Dünen Therme, you will also find various restaurants here, e.g. GOSCH.

The Katinger Watt is ideal for surfing beginners

From the Eider Barrier, you can take a boat to various destinations almost every day

You can explore the Eider by boat or set off for the offshore seal islands

On Thursdays, the "little ones" go on a treasure hunt with the pirate ship

You can go to Friedrichstadt, the old "Dutch town", for breakfast or just to stroll around

Birdwatchers, nature lovers and hikers love the nearby nature reserve KATINGER WATT.

Büsum, the gateway to the "Wadden Sea" World Heritage Site, is a little more tranquil and can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. This is also where the ships set off for Helgoland.

The bistro directly on the dyke offers something for the small or large appetite in between

The old smithy at Dammstrasse 20 has been converted into the inviting "Café Koog", with a large garden area and a boutique on the first floor.

All supermarkets can be found nearby, in Wesselburen.

The pedestrian zone in Heide offers you further shopping opportunities.

Cancellation terms:

Upon the tenant's request, the landlord will endeavor to find a suitable new tenant only if instructed in writing. If no suitable new tenant is found for the canceled period, the rental price must be paid by the tenant, or a refund by the landlord in the event that the balance has already been paid as follows. quiet holiday home

Who wants a little break from the stressful everyday life and still wants to be close to tourist hotspots on the North Sea, is exactly right here.
Directly on the dike, within walking distance to the Eidersperrwerk, really idyllic mudflat hiking.
The house is equipped with everything you need. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings invite you to linger. Plus, everything is clean.
We will definitely come back!

Enjoy a wonderful vacation!

Very nice house, extensive furnishings, good and very quiet location right on the dike.
However, quick access to Büsum and SPO within about 20 minutes. Shopping just under 5 minutes away (by car).

Schönes Haus

It is a truly beautiful house that is furnished with great attention to detail. Nothing is missing.
We felt very comfortable. The walks with our dog were very rewarding in all directions. The option to use one of the 3 terraces at any time is simply great.
You always sit sheltered from the wind. The house and the surroundings are perfect for relaxing and getting away from everyday life.

Escape from everyday life

The holiday home is great and the location directly behind the dike is perfect for relaxing. Despite the high season, you can take lonely and undisturbed walks here, ideal also with a dog. However, since we are Baltic Sea fans, we couldn't do much with the watt and therefore drove 100 kilometers (you have the opportunity :)), but for those who like it, this holiday home is number 1. A little problem, however, is the mobile reception and the Wi-Fi... you are definitely cut off from the rest of the world here... but there are certainly fans for that as well ;)

A holiday home to feel comfortable

We spent a wonderful week in this great and spacious house. The location with a view of the dyke is unique, and depending on the position of the sun, you can use the front or back terrace. The large garden was also very popular with our four-legged friends for romping around. The house is equipped with high-quality appliances and practically invites you to cook. And on a rainy day, which we didn't even have, you can use the large sauna. We immediately felt comfortable and will definitely book it again on our next North Sea vacation.

Great holiday!

We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful holiday home.
The furnishing of the house is practical and very tasteful, the equipment leaves nothing to be desired and the outdoor area is also very appealing.
The unobstructed view of the dyke should also be mentioned here.
We enjoyed spending our holidays here. Whether you just want to relax or explore the surroundings and experience a bit of culture - there is something here for everyone.
I would also like to thank the landlord, Mr Schneede, and Mrs Lorenz. The contact was very nice and the handling of the formalities very uncomplicated. We will be happy to come back!

The house is very beautiful, absolutely clean and modernly furnished - kitchen, bathrooms, everything up to date. The property is quite large and located directly behind the levee, there is no opposite view from the terrace or window front. The house is equally suitable for relaxing as well as a starting point for excursions: Büsum, Husum, St. Peter-Ording, or Friedrichstadt are quickly accessible, and the location is also suitable for day trips to Kiel or Sylt. Smooth and nice handover, overall an absolute recommendation.

Fast deceleration from everyday life guaranteed.

Lovingly furnished and meticulously equipped nostalgic house. There was nothing missing. We felt very comfortable with 7 people. The location is quiet and quaint. It's a bit too far from the nearest town, but in the end, it didn't bother us. So, we didn't stay away from the beautiful holiday home for too long and were able to enjoy the beautiful garden in the great weather. To escape stress and hustle for just a few days, the 'Hirtenhaus' is a suitable accommodation.

Erholsamer Aufenhalt

We felt very comfortable. The location of the house is simply wonderful, right on the dike, in the evening you can watch the sunset from there, during the day you can lie in the sun on the terrace. The facilities leave nothing to be desired. Everything is perfect, clean, tastefully decorated, and plenty of space for 4 people. The sauna, the whirlpool, and the fireplace just make it cozy, and the contact with the landlord and the key holder was very nice. So all around perfect.

For us, the best and most beautiful holiday home we have ever experienced. Even the previous family hotels couldn't top this!!! If you want to experience this beautiful and unique house with all its lovingly thought-out extras... with absolutely unobstructed views and right on the water, you should book this. Not just in the kitchen... all the kitchen appliances and utensils... I have never experienced anything like it. Everything was really thought of. 100% relaxation in this tranquility. Even the teenagers who accompanied us found it "cool" . . plenty of space for the ball. And for those who want to see and experience something, all the information can be found in the house . . like the fireplace, the sauna, and, and, and . . .
Oh, and one more thing: we had packed a lot of games but didn't even need them. They are also plentiful in the house. Various supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations, and more - everything you need is 5 minutes away. I can only say: Dear Mr. Schneede, thank you very much for the wonderful time with you! Urlaub im Winter

The holiday house has a very nice location, absolutely quiet and well suited for relaxing. It was nice that we could bring our dog. Nevertheless, there are some points of criticism: the beds are too narrow, and there is no wardrobe in the lower bedroom. Unfortunately, the website and the rental agreement do not indicate that the house is heated entirely with electricity or a wood stove, and the electricity costs will be deducted from the security deposit by the landlord after the rental period. Wood is not available, must be bought at the supermarket.
For us as the first tenants of the year 2017, this meant arriving in a completely cold house. I would have liked to factor in the total heating costs of more than 100.00 € before the vacation.
Nevertheless, we had a nice week of vacation and would rent again, preferably during warmer weather, so we could also enjoy the beautiful property.

Ihre Kritik nehmen wir sehr gerne an, denn es ist unser Bestreben, das sich alle unsere Gäste bei uns wohl fühlen und gern wiederkommen. Die große Anzahl an Gästen, die bereits mehr als einmal bei uns zu Gast waren und die ausschließlich positiven Bewertungen, lassen uns vermuten, dass wir mit unseren Bemühungen auf dem richtigen Weg sind. Dennoch möchten wir uns immer weiter verbessern.

Als Sie uns bei Ihrer Ankunft über die Kälte im Haus per Mail und telefonisch informiert haben, waren wir schon etwas in Sorge und haben uns sofort auf den Weg zu Ihnen gemacht. Der Screenshot Ihrer Wetter-App den Sie uns schickten zeigte 4°C, was zu unserer Sorge beitrug. Glücklicherweise stellte sich heraus, dass Ihre App die Außentemperatur gemessen hat und wir konnten im Haus 15°C messen. Das ist natürlich auch zu kühl als „Wohntemperatur“, sodass wir Ihnen Holz mitbrachten und den Kaminofen für Sie aufheizten. Leider haben wir Sie nicht persönlich angetroffen, sodass wir Sie nun an dieser Stelle daran erinnern möchten, den ungefähren Zeitpunkt der Ankunft mindestens 3 Tage vor Ihrer Anreise bei uns anzukündigen. Auf Wunsch heizen wir dann das Haus immer vor, sodass unsere Gäste in ein gemütlich warmes Haus einkehren können. Insofern haben wir - außer von Ihnen - bisher keine Kritik zu niedrigen Temperaturen gehört und bedauern, dass Sie diesen Service, den wir unseren Gästen anbieten, nicht in Anspruch genommen haben.
Gleichzeit bedauern wir, dass Sie die Gesamtheizkosten für Strom und Holz nicht einkalkulieren konnten. Sie sind allerdings auch die ersten Gäste, die scheinbar Holz und Strom als inklusive voraussetzten (obwohl im Vertrag darauf hingewiesen wird, dass es nicht inklusive ist). Falls Sie also Ferienhäuser kennen in denen beides inklusive ist dann würden wir uns freuen, wenn Sie uns einen entsprechenden Link schicken und uns einen Tipp geben, wie man als Vermieter diese Kosten pauschal einkalkulieren kann, ohne dass es für Mieter, die z.B. die Sauna nicht nutzen ungerecht wird.
Weiterhin möchten wir Sie auch bitten, bei zukünftigen Bewertungen bei uns oder anderen Vermietern bei der Wahrheit zu bleiben. Wir haben Ihnen 56,55€ Stromkosten berechnet und keineswegs über 100€ wie Sie schreiben. Und in diesem Betrag sind nicht nur die Heizkosten enthalten, sondern alle Stromkosten (z.B. Sauna, Herd, TV, usw.). Obwohl wir in der "Mieter Information vor Anreise" (die Sie zusammen mit dem Vertrag erhalten haben) schon darauf hinweisen, haben wir in der Beschreibung des Hauses die Heizung mit Strom ergänzt, auch wenn dies für Häuser dieser Art unüblich ist. Gleichzeitig ist es weiterhin üblich, dass sich Gäste eines Ferienhauses ihr Feuerholz selber mitbringen (wenn sie den Kamin nutzen möchten). Unsere Gäste kaufen ihr Holz in der Regel bereits vor der Anreise zu Hause oder in den nahegelegenen Supermärkten.

Abschließend möchten wir noch auf die Betten und den Stauraum eingehen.
Das Bett im Schlafzimmer im unteren Bereich weist eine 140er Breite auf und das obere Schlafzimmer hat ein Bett mit 160er Breite. Dies steht auch genauso in der „Mieter Information vor Anreise“.
Wenn Sie also lieber das untere Schlafzimmer beziehen, weil Sie oder Ihr Hund die Treppe vermeiden möchten, dann verstehen wir das selbstverständlich, weisen aber darauf hin, dass es auch noch die sehr bequeme Schlafcouch im Wohnzimmer mit deutlich mehr als 160er Breite gibt.
Einen Kleiderschrank gibt es im unteren Schlafzimmer nicht (da wir das Schlafzimmer nicht zu eng wirken lassen wollen, haben wir bewusst "nur" 2 Kommoden dort stehen), dafür aber im angrenzenden Eingangsbereich, gegenüber dem Schlafzimmer. Uns ist nicht klar, warum Sie diesen Schrank nicht nutzen wollten.

Wir hoffen, dass Sie trotz Ihrer Kritikpunkte einen schönen Urlaub an der Nordsee verbracht haben und würden uns freuen, Sie wieder bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen.

Ein perfektes Ferienhaus

We had a wonderful short break in the holiday home. The description is 100% accurate. Especially noteworthy is the perfectly equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. A special mention goes to the cleaning lady, the house was super clean. We have rented several holiday homes before, none were as perfect as this one. The next vacation there is already planned.

Great house, great location

We found exactly what we were looking for: a lovingly furnished holiday home that leaves nothing to be desired - from the bike shed, garage, comfortably equipped kitchen to a hairdryer in every bathroom, nothing was missing! Due to the season, we could not fully enjoy the large, nicely landscaped garden with all its amenities (fireplace, beach chair, garden swing...); in summer, it will surely be a great place to stay. The great location right on the dike, in a small, manageable holiday home settlement in the middle of nowhere guarantees peace and relaxation and is ideal for bike tours and long walks. However, one should be aware that it is 7 km to the nearest supermarket or bakery. The only downside: an extremely narrow bed (1.40 m, one mattress) in the lower master bedroom slightly affected the restful sleep of two grown adults 😉. The contact with the landlord and "the good spirits on site" was very nice - heartfelt thanks for the uncomplicated and smooth handling of booking and house handover! We would love to come back sometime...

Tolles Haus

The holiday home was very well located for us. Excursion destinations like St. Peter Ording, Büsum, Husum, or Pellworm Island are easily accessible from here.
The micro-location at the dyke and to the neighboring houses was great. It was very quiet, even though it was in a prime location.
The house itself had all the comforts one could wish for. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking and even more :-)
The house was very clean and well-maintained. The handover went smoothly. All in all, a relaxing and comfortable vacation. Thank you for the wonderful time.

We love the North Sea and decided to buy this newly built holiday home near St. Peter - Ording in 2011. We made sure that our holiday home was not an "off-the-peg" house. We designed the floor plan individually and increased the floor space compared to comparable houses by having the house on two floors. We also designed the furnishings according to our personal taste, because we also want to feel comfortable in our "dream house".
