Pure relaxation

We felt very comfortable and spent an absolutely relaxing vacation in a spacious house, with great weather. Just switch off, breathe, and enjoy nature. During the day, we cycled to SPO and Büsum, and in the evenings, we enjoyed the peace on the terrace. We will come back and maybe let ourselves be blown by the wind on the dike this autumn. Autumn vacation

The holiday home has a great location and is spaciously designed. The fireplace and the sauna are wonderful for a relaxing vacation. The rest of the furnishings are tastefully but quite simply decorated. The overall first impression is really positive, and we had a great week with our 3 children.

Winter vacation in the house

The house and furnishings were okay and absolutely in accordance with the description. A small downside from our perspective was the pragmatic and not very loving decor of the house. Everything was fine, but we felt more comfortable elsewhere. Additionally, there was practically no service contact and no phone number that one could call. That the house was freezing cold when we arrived did not contribute to feeling comfortable (not to mention the initial heating costs). In the future, it would certainly be nice if there were a small folder with regional information, such as excursion destinations, dining options, and shopping, including locations, opening hours, and possibly phone numbers. Lastly, we found the oven starter set at €15 to be somewhat overpriced.

Very beautiful and quiet

The accommodation met our expectations. It was clean, cozy, and simply in a beautiful quiet location, within walking distance to the water or the mudflat. There was nothing major to criticize about the amenities; we would have appreciated a small travel hairdryer. Unfortunately, the TV program was more bad than good, and hardly anything was installed. Well, of course, that was not our goal on vacation. We explored the beautiful areas. I can only recommend it there with younger children!

Pure relaxation

We rented the property again in June 2024 and were very satisfied once more. The house is so spacious that a vacation for four (not a family) is very feasible. The atmosphere in the wooden house always delights us, as it is very clean, smells great, and is also attractively furnished. The location is very close to the beach, so we were able to admire the sunset every evening without any problems. This was definitely not our last vacation there!

Relaxation in a quiet holiday resort

We spent 6 days in this holiday home in October. The house is charmingly furnished and tidy/clean. We lacked nothing. The local holiday support was not reachable in advance, but the lady at the number found on BUK-Ferien.de was able to help us. What we missed a bit (which are just minor things): - The entire house has no curtains/blinds for darkening, only pleated shades. We had to make do with blankets and towels so that the children could sleep well. - The children's bed did not have a proper mattress, just a "waterproof" base. We then made a "mattress" with the remaining blankets. - The grill could be replaced, the grill grate no longer fits properly on it and it already looks quite worn. - Electricity costs as of (Oct. 2023) Charging €0.69 with the currently normalized electricity prices is quite high. If necessary, a more customer-friendly solution could be found here. Otherwise, everything was fine. We would recommend the house.

Very nice little house

We felt very comfortable in the holiday apartment. It is modern and cozy furnished. The location is also simply great; we enjoyed going up to the dike in the evenings to watch the sunset. It is just a 2-minute walk away. There, you can enjoy absolute tranquility.

Nice, clean, and lovingly

The holiday home is very beautiful and lovingly furnished. Very clean and there is also enough dishes, glasses, etc. A bottle of wine was waiting in the kitchen as a welcome. Unfortunately, the beds were too hard for our family. It's also a pity that there is no bakery nearby to buy breakfast rolls. Otherwise, everything is great, very centrally located for excursions to Büsum, St. Peter-Ording, or Husum.

It was very clean, and the issues criticized in a previous review had apparently been resolved. We missed nothing in the house - from beach chairs to barbecue, garden furniture, washing machine, and well-equipped kitchen, everything was present. The location itself is wonderful - you are at the sea in just a few minutes, and thanks to the quiet surroundings, you can recover very well. Many excursion destinations can be reached from Wesselburenerkoog in no time. Beautiful location of the house. Quietly situated, but something needs to be done.

Very beautiful holiday home in a very quiet location about 26 km from Sankt Peter Ording. Since we have spent our vacation in this holiday home twice, we can make a comparison. We are not a fan of bad reviews! Unfortunately, it has worsened compared to 2014. The furnishings are more worn, and more should be invested in maintenance. The oven was more than disgusting. In the main bathroom, the shelf from the mirror is swollen because moisture has penetrated the wood. The cleanliness itself unfortunately left much to be desired. Dirty cutlery drawer, dishes, mold on the shower partition, etc. Well, we didn’t let our vacation be spoiled by such small details. It was a very nice vacation for us, and if something is invested in the vacation home again, we are happy to return. Open criticism is always good, as that is the only way a host can improve.

Our friends and we spent ten days in your holiday home "Strandläufer" in September 2016. The house completely matches the description in the online advertisement. The entire holiday home area is located directly behind the dike. There are many great houses, and there is a small restaurant where you can get good beer and great fries. :-D You feel very comfortable right away. What we also liked was the proximity to the surrounding towns. Even though you live centrally, it is pleasantly quiet. The communication with the guest service also worked excellently. Dragons are supposed to fly - 10/23/2016

We spent a wonderful week with our friends. The house is spotless and excellent for two couples. We used the third room as a walk-in closet since there was otherwise limited closet space. With a few steps, you are directly on the dike, and a few more steps lead you directly to the water. As big fans of kites, we had a lot of fun on the grassy dike and also "kite-mudding" in the Watt. We had rented many holiday homes and had gathered a lot of experience. This one was among the best.

The organization beforehand was very friendly, reliable, and accommodating. Arrival and move-in were excellent. We felt comfortable and the proximity to the dike, Büsum, and St. Peter were perfect for our short vacation. Somehow even cozier than in the pictures. X-Mas at the Beachrunner - 07.01.2017

We (two friendly couples from Bavaria) spent our Christmas vacation in Wesselburenerkoog. The house did not immediately impress us with a "wow" factor, but it is practical, well-maintained, and clean. The location is fantastically quiet and with very short distances to the area's hotspots. Our expectations were met in almost every way. We felt very comfortable and, after long eventful days with extensive walks, spent some cozy hours in the sauna and by the fireplace. Conclusion: Wi-Fi would be great but we will come back!

We felt very comfortable in the bright, nicely furnished, and above all, clean beach house. The location right on the dike is great, and in bad weather, after a bike ride in wind and rain, you look forward to a relaxed time in the sauna or in front of the fireplace.

Scandinavian feeling

A beautiful holiday home. Everything is still very new, clean, bright, and friendly. Surrounded by a fragrant blooming apple rose hedge in a very quiet location, you can relax very well on the two terraces. A two-minute walk to the dyke to see the sheep and go mudflat walking. The 20-minute drive to SPO to the great beach is gladly accepted. We felt very comfortable there.

We were immediately impressed by the brightness, space, tranquility, and modern, very friendly furnishings of the house. The kitchen is indeed very well equipped (kitchen utensils/oven/large freezer). The location of the house behind the dyke, between Büsum and St. Peter Ording, is a great starting point for many activities. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.

The house is definitely recommended. It is very spacious, modernly equipped, and located very quietly but still centrally. We felt well taken care of and very well looked after, starting with the booking process. We have rarely encountered such nice landlords and housekeepers. Moving in forever - 13.03.2016

We had a great vacation in this holiday home. The Strandlaufer is very modern and comfortably furnished and was super clean. The location is ideal, less than 5 minutes walk to the water, especially recommended with children. It was also nice that the kitchen has a dishwasher, which we didn't have before, and the oven quickly provides pleasant warmth. We would come back again and would recommend the house with a good feeling, we didn't miss anything :-)

Full 3 weeks with sunshine every day. Actually totally atypical for the North Sea. Husum, Büsum, Heide, St. Peter Ording, Tönning, Friedrichstadt, Kiel, Hamburg, and in between simply "by the water." In the evening, we could sit on the terrace and watch the sky. Since my wife is a talented cook, we would have appreciated it if the kitchen had been better equipped. The holiday home itself is spacious enough for the adults and children to have an hour to themselves. So, we would have been prepared for "North Sea weather".

Bigger than expected - 26.06.2016

We were very surprised - by the size of the modern furnished house. The welcome greeting was also very well received - quickly emptied by four. Pre-baked rolls are recommended as the nearest bakery is not just around the corner. We could not detect any disturbing odors, but enjoyed the fresh sea air to the fullest. Two large bedrooms with double beds - that was nice. A few candles or tea lights would be great. We are happy to recommend the house and cleanliness further.

Strandlöper - 17.06.2016

From booking to key handover, everything went wonderfully. We felt very comfortable in Strandlöper. We especially liked the proximity to the North Sea and the furnished terrace. The children bathed a lot and dug in the mudflats. There is a lot to discover on the coast. Each child had their own room and with four people, a guest toilet is welcome. The recommendation from our neighbors was worth it. Thank you for that!

Girl power on the dyke - 06/07/2016

As a group of girls from Mannheim visiting Schleswig-Holstein for the first time. At first, Wesselburenerkoog seemed rather dull, but we all quickly succumbed to its charm. Sports in the morning, short trips in the surrounding area during the day, and cozy girls' nights in the evening. The holiday home area is well located for all these activities. In short: we felt very comfortable.
