The flat is located on the ground floor of a detached building with a total of 4 holiday flats, next to the clubhouse in the Security Golf Estate Erinvale. It is very quiet, especially at night
It offers a spacious living room with open and fully equipped kitchen, adjoining dining table, a cosy daybed and comfortable armchairs, as well as a large TV set. Perfectly equipped for self-catering. Air-conditioning in the living room and bedrooms provides coolness or warmth as needed. Both bedrooms are very bright, the larger bedroom is equipped with a king size ( 183 x 200) bed and has direct access to the terrace. The smaller bedroom has a queen size bed (152 x 200). The mattresses are of high quality and new, as are the beds, pillows and bed linen. Both bedrooms offer bedside tables with lamps, generous built-in wardrobes, a small desk with chair and the popular "American Shutters" on the windows. The view goes over tee 1, past the tennis courts, over the clubhouse to Somerset West's local mountain, the picturesque Helderberg, and up to the almost always blue sky
The sockets fit German and South African plugs. A small separate room houses the washing machine and dryer
TV and Android players for receiving German TV and radio programmes guarantee entertainment and information from home. A fibre optic connection guarantees a stable internet connection free of charge. Thanks to an inverter, power cuts can be bridged and guarantee TV, internet and lighting
A small covered terrace with table and chairs is accessible from the living room and bedroom. The view stretches left across fairway 1 to False Bay and straight ahead to the mountains.
The large communal garden can be reached via 2 steps. Deck chairs are available and invite you to relax, either under the shady oaks or to soak up some more sun on the sunny lawn. An awning protects you from too much sun during the day and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset
A garage with electricity and remote control for car or golf equipment and a car parking space are directly in front of the house.
The other 3 flats are private property of very quiet golfers.
A tennis court within walking distance invites you to play.

Location and surroundings of object
The flat is located directly in the Security Golf Estate Erinvale and is rented by German owners. You can reach the pro shop, club house and tee 1 on foot. Access for non-residents is only possible through a gate guarded day and night after extensive identity checks. There are no barbed wires, walls or power cables around you and you can enjoy your holiday with complete peace of mind. It is nestled in a well-kept garden, with tall shady trees, a salt water pool and offers views of the first fairway, the sea and the mountains. Erinvale (the Irish Valley) was designed by renowned golfer Gary Player and is a challenge for any golfer. Golf carts can be booked at any time. The newly renovated clubhouse and pro shop are only 200m away. All meals can be served on the clubhouse terrace overlooking the fairways and greens 9 and 18 and False Bay. There is a green fee discount for tenants at Erinvale Golf Club. From some fairways you have a breathtaking view of False Bay and the surrounding mountains, the Helderberg and the Hottentots and of course the Cape of Good Hope
The golf course is one of the most beautiful courses in the Western Cape and is situated right next to the Vergelegen, Lourensford and Morgenster wine estates in the middle of the South African wine region. In all the wine estates you can dine very well and of course taste the wines, as well as take guided tours. Vergelegen is a must for every holidaymaker and enchants with its historic buildings, ancient Camphor trees and beautiful gardens. Lourensford has a market at weekends with stalls of all kinds, food, drink and life music, plus a coffee roastery with a daytime restaurant and small shop. Italian olives are grown in Morgenster and you can sample olives and oil alongside wines
The Helderberg Nature Reserve is right next door and invites you to walk through the flora of protea and fynbos. In the nearby town of Somerset West you can do all your shopping. Remarkable is a "Quickspar", where you can get meat loaf, white sausage or Emmentaler without any problems, or the shopping chain "Woolworth", whose shop in Somerset West was even once named the world's best supermarket. The range of fruit and vegetables is sensational, in general, there is everything you need or want
The beach in the village of Strand, about 20 minutes away by car, is the longest white sand beach in South Africa and a walk or a short trip into the shallow water is fun for young and old
Cape Town, with its famous "Waterfront" is only 50 km away and offers shops, restaurants and culture.

Outstanding
We felt very comfortable in the tastefully furnished and well-equipped apartment. The accommodation is very well-maintained, clean, and has a very good, quiet location with an unobstructed view of the first fairway, the sea, and the mountains. We found it very pleasant to enjoy the good food and relaxed atmosphere with an impressive view of the golf course at the clubhouse, which is just a 2-minute walk away. Since the friendly landlord couple owns and resides in a house in Erinvale, they are always reachable and quick to be on-site if needed.

We are members of the Golf Club and are on site from October to April In February, the opportunity arose to purchase one of the sought-after flats in Glen Abbey We have lovingly renovated the flat as it is also used for our own family during busy periods. The rest of the time we are happy to rent it out.
