With the Manor house, The Rose cottage, and the Thach cottage sharing a green and lush garden, it offers plenty of open space and privacy for outdoor living. Two of the accommodations have a sparkling private pool. Free, secure parking is available. Just ten minutes away from the famous Stellenbosch Wine Route, a tranquil oasis that forms the perfect place for holidaymakers and food & wine lovers, and for those who want to play a round of golf on one of the more than 15 golf courses in the area. For the active holidaymaker, the nearby Helderberg Nature Reserve and Jonkershoek Nature Reserve offer plenty of hiking trails and mountain biking routes. Somerset West is a well-known destination visited by travelers seeking the luxury of a wide selection of wine estates, golf courses, and some of South Africa’s best restaurants. Somerset West is known, among other things, for one of the oldest wine estates in South Africa, Vergelegen Wine Estate.
The nearest beach is only a 10-minute drive away. The historic town of Stellenbosch with its Cape Dutch houses, many restaurants and shops is only a 15-minute drive away. Cape Town and the vibrant V&A Waterfront are just half an hour’s drive away.
