Everything perfect

We spent another wonderful time in the holiday home. Even in October, you can still enjoy the view on the beautiful terrace.
The kitchen is very well equipped and everything is super clean.
The landlady is nice and friendly. Nothing is missing.

Pure Relaxation!!

Time Out PURE

The holiday home is very clean, cozy, and modernly furnished. Great nearly new kitchen, large refrigerator and freezer (ideal for raw food). Large fenced garden where our dogs could move around and romp around perfectly. In the middle of nature, absolutely quiet location to relax. Ideal surroundings for walking with dogs and family.

Beautiful, relaxing vacation in the Eifel – ideal with dog(s)

We (2 adults, 2 dogs) spent a week in June 2025 in this wonderful holiday home and were completely thrilled. The house is very well-maintained, exceptionally clean (the cleanest holiday accommodation we have ever had!) and excellently equipped – there is really nothing missing: From kitchen utensils to dishwasher tablets, garbage bags, bed linen and towels to blankets, everything was available. The fenced property is high and secure – our dogs could move around completely freely. The small village is extremely quiet (more cows than residents, hardly any traffic) and ideal for unwinding. Walks start right at the front door, and the surroundings are also well-suited for hiking.

The technical equipment of the house is of a very high standard: Wi-Fi, satellite TV, modern kitchen appliances, dishwasher, oven, washing machine, dryer, and a pleasant pellet stove – everything is available. A garage, a grill, and garden furniture complete the offer.

Tip: From the place Verschneid, you can reach Belgium in just a few minutes – there are shopping options nearby that are significantly closer than those suggested by Google Maps (sometimes over 20 km away).

We would also like to highlight the very nice and helpful contact with Mrs. Murges – she was always reachable and took care of everything immediately.

Shopping options are also available in the nearby Bleialf (approx. 6 km).

For us, it is certain: We will gladly come back next year!

Short vacation with dog

A great holiday home with very high-quality furnishings. A large, securely fenced garden. The house is very well maintained, all furnishings as well as the complete kitchen equipment are high-quality and functional; it was not equipped with second best but as if for personal use, something comparable is rarely found. The location is quiet, but a car is absolutely necessary to get to the nearest town. For us, this was not a problem, as the area is really very beautiful and varied; extensive hikes can be undertaken at any time after a short drive by car. We really enjoyed it, and Mrs. Murges is truly a very nice, attentive host.

Comfortable bungalow with fenced garden & very good amenities

We felt very comfortable in the Waidblick country house. We were looking for a quiet accommodation where we could enjoy a few days of peace undisturbed with our dog. It has 2 bedrooms, but we only used one. For 2 people, we found the size of the bungalow ideal. The house is very well equipped and has everything - except for a microwave - which we didn’t need. Otherwise, everything one needs is really there! Fridge + freezer, washing machine + dryer. Even a binoculars to nicely observe foxes and deer. The coffee machine is a Senseo machine; we simply brewed our ground coffee by hand with boiled water, which worked well. Outside the house, you immediately find access to hiking trails. We did not see anyone during our hikes around Laudesfeld. You can also jog; it is hilly, but there are routes between 4 - 7 km or more. The seating area and the garden loungers are very comfortable. The garden is completely enclosed. From the garage, you can go directly to the garden and into the house. We also used the gas grill. The beds are comfortable and pillows, blankets, etc. are all top-notch clean.
We can recommend the Alte Backhaus in Bleialf for dining. We ordered takeout from there several times and everything was very tasty.

A week of active vacation with a dog in March

Those seeking peace and relaxation will find themselves very well accommodated in this lodging. We were here for a week with a dog, and we are thrilled. Various hiking options and cycling tours are possible directly from the house. The holiday home is furnished with a lot of love, has excellent amenities, comfortable beds, and, above all, is very clean. We also appreciated having the cordless vacuum readily available, which is very useful when coming with a dog or small children. Beautiful view of the landscape with binoculars for observing wildlife and especially the completely fenced property.
Nice large garage where we could charge our bikes.
We wanted to thank Tamara once again for the delicious cake and her friendliness.
We will definitely recommend the accommodation.

Relaxing holiday home in a magnificent location

Very quietly situated little house, and our dogs could wonderfully enjoy the safe garden as well as the walking paths directly from the property. Upon arrival, a small, delicious surprise awaited us. Fantastic relaxing break

For the third time, I have now been in the holiday home Waidblick, and each time I return satisfied and absolutely refreshed from this little idyll. I can only echo the great reviews, and it is rarely that accommodations are as they are advertised. Enjoying the location and the view into the vastness on the slope amidst the surrounding greenery is always uplifting. Through the large enclosed garden, my dog Jerry can romp around without me having to worry or keep an eye on him constantly. Right now, there are even fresh apples from the tree, and the house is absolutely beautifully furnished; nothing is missing, and everything is neatly in place as I wish it to be.

Dear Mrs. Murges, I would like to express a special thank you once again for the wonderful care; this is not something that is taken for granted by landlords, and I have often experienced it differently. The pallet stove in the living room is, by the way, an absolute blessing after a long walk in the now quite fresh temperatures, and the house is very homey and cozy. Thank you also for the fabulous nut loaf that is always right on the table on the day of arrival; I always look forward to it when I travel to you in the Eifel. We'll see each other again soon, I promise, and Jerry is definitely looking forward to the tours in the woods around the corner. Perfect for a holiday with a dog

We really enjoyed the vacation at the Waidblick country house. It is incredible how much good taste and high comfort are accommodated within this limited square footage. We lacked for nothing. Especially relaxing is the escape-proof and privacy-fenced garden with a view, perfect for a vacation with a dog. Charming vacation residence

Cozy holiday home in the Eifel region

We go to the Eifel every year and this time we ended up at the Waidblick house.
All we can say about the house is that everything was top-notch. The equipment, cleanliness, we lacked nothing.
Very nice for 2 persons with possibly small children. With a garden, our dogs didn't want to go home anymore.
Just the view in the distance and "our cows".
If you like vacationing in the countryside, this is the right place. You can walk until you drop here, you should be prepared for the hilly landscape.
The neighbors and the neighboring animals were all friendly and open-minded.
The landlady is always trying to fulfill all wishes.

Short vacation to relax

The holiday home is very cozy and tastefully furnished. The equipment is really complete!!! We have never experienced anything like this before. Also high-quality appliances, as well as dishes, etc. It is very clean everywhere, which pleased us very much! We were there with 2 dogs, the garden is a dream for the four-legged friends. And the view as well. That there are farms nearby and also cows on the neighboring property is nothing unusual for a vacation in a rural area. Then you shouldn't go on vacation in the countryside... Therefore, I cannot understand other reviews. The contact with the landlords was very friendly and warm from the beginning, and during the stay, all questions were always answered quickly. The nut braid as a welcome was a dream! We will definitely book again one day and have already made recommendations among friends.

Freestanding?

We had booked from 19.8.23 until 2.9.23.
I (woman) left the accommodation after 2 days. My husband managed to stay until 25.8.
You should write "freestanding" and mention that there are 2 dairy farms in immediate proximity.
When arriving on Saturday evening and Sunday, it was still bearable. On Monday at 6 am, the noise from machines and tractors started. They drove past the house all day or worked on the farm.
The smell of manure was unbearable. But you should ventilate. And also adhere to quiet hours to not disturb anyone. We had no peace. Because farmers do not adhere to them. It's understandable, the work needs to be done. But you don't need that on vacation.
What you need on vacation would have been a dishwasher. Because who wants to wash dishes?
A simple oven would have done its job as well, instead of a microwave-oven-grill combo, where you have to study a 10-page manual to bake a few rolls.
Also, the number of people should be reduced to 2 for the size of the house. And not allow more than a maximum of 3 large dogs. Because it gets tight with more.
All in all, we preferred to spend our vacation at home. Because there is everything we need.

Fantastisch: Fantastic

Beautiful holiday home...very clean, so I was ashamed of every dog hair my sweetie shed, especially during the changing of the seasons. Securely fenced so that we could let our four-legged friends run around in the garden without worry. Very high-quality furnishings! Lovely landlords who fulfil their guests' wishes! Dream vacation

For many years now, we have been going on vacation with our dog in the Eifel region, not always easy to find the right holiday home that meets the demands of both the "two-legged" and the four-legged. Quiet secluded location? Unfortunately not!

The house was very clean and ideal for 2 adults with 1 medium sized dog. There was a nut plait on the table to welcome us. A very nice gesture! The equipment was very good and we had (almost) everything we needed.
Besides the directly adjacent cattle farm, an insect screen on the dining room window would have been great and in the bathroom an opaque window screen would have been better to protect oneself from the glances of passing tractors and trucks, which can easily see in over the privacy fence, instead of having to stand in the dark bathroom with the light on in daylight.
The very practical shed, which can be used as a garage, easily fits an SUV including roof box.
The house is completely dog-proof fenced, but is not "in a quiet secluded location surrounded by meadows and woods", but on the edge of the village! The country lane running directly along the property is unfortunately used as an "agricultural highway" between the two large cattle breeding facilities, on which the large/heavy agricultural machines (incl. jeeps and trucks) drive up and down every day at what feels like 15-minute intervals. The FH is located right in between and borders directly on the upper farm. Unfortunately, the agricultural activities are very noisy here. Quietness on the terrace/garden or even with open windows, unfortunately, is not possible! But according to the house rules, the observance of the general quiet times is required?
Nice walks are possible directly from the house.
The first days we had no satellite TV reception. The landlord, according to his own information, neglected to check the function after gardening work had been done. The system was repaired quickly. Unfortunately, a refund was not offered independently, but only smiled at when asked and agreed with incomprehension.
We left three days early for the first time because we missed the peace and quiet here. Conclusion: Very nice cottage, but unfortunately in the wrong place for us. What a pity!

Wonderful holiday home

We were guests at Landhaus Waidblick with three people and two dogs and had a wonderful time.

The house is equipped with every comfort, the fireplace invites you to linger on the sofa. In a few minutes you are in Belgium or Luxembourg. Only 1h drive and you can visit great cities in Belgium or Holland. The house is outdoors and surrounded by beautiful fields, where you can walk your dogs for miles.

Beautiful cosy holiday home

Hooray we were the first in 2023. We had a very nice short holiday at Haus Waidblick. Everything was perfect and we didn't miss anything.
We received a very friendly welcome and were immediately impressed by the house. Especially the open fireplace had a cosy warmth and charisma.
So despite the totally rainy weather it was a success and we will gladly come again. We agree with the many other positive comments and recommend it to others.

A wonderful place of tranquillity

Thank you Tamara and Tom for this wonderful place. We had a wonderful time here and were finally able to relax. The house is so lovingly furnished and has everything you need. The kitchen is also super equipped, so cooking and baking was fun. There was nothing missing. We especially enjoyed the evenings by the fireplace and the cosy atmosphere. The garden was ideal for our dogs, because it offered enough space to run around and we could let them run around without worrying, because the property is completely fenced. The morning view into the distance and the possibilities of longer walks enriched our day. Tamara and Tom gave us a warm welcome and showed us everything we needed to know to get started at the cottage. We just felt completely at home and already know we will be back. Relaxation in a beautiful and quiet location in a great cottage

In November, unfortunately with a lot of rainy weather, we were with 2 people in the house Waidblick with admittedly great expectations, because I had gotten to know a large holiday home of the same landlords in the spring and was incredibly enthusiastic there. And now .... all expectations were fulfilled!!! Wonderful beds, great furnishings, great use of the rooms, a great kitchen - we didn't have to miss anything - cosy couch, great fireplace + plenty of wood to beat the lousy weather with a cosy fire and comfortable warmth, nice games available and a really great view of the countryside. Even the car was dry in the garage. Conclusion: here, too, the full score was more or less exceeded. There is nothing to complain about. And the landlords are so interested in the well-being of the guests that you have to look for a needle in a haystack to give them a tip for improvement. You two are great, thank you!!!

Idyllic long weekend

It was a wonderfully relaxing few days for us 4 grown-up city dwellers and our 3 dogs. The house is totally beautiful and furnished with great attention to detail. There are even separate paw towels. Wonderful view and hiking possibilities.
