Description
The Tauber Sonnen Lodge is a sustainably built holiday home, built on the site of an old house in the middle of the village. Inside, the natural construction and pleasant indoor climate can be felt through visible wooden ceilings and solid wood furniture, complemented on the outside by a terrace with sauna. The whole house stands on the roof of a high garage with parking facilities for the guests and thus has privacy, although it is located in the middle of the village
Inside, the attic has two bedrooms for a total of four people, the large bathroom and a workspace
The living level below consists of a loft-like great room that combines a Nolte dream kitchen, dining area and living room
An additional shower room completes the offer.

For athletes, there is the "Sportive Bicycle Trail", which provides a challenge with demanding climbs and spectacular views.

The district Hochhausen of Tauberbischofsheim is located directly on the Tauber, ideal for hiking and biking and water sports on the river.
Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented by guests at the bicycle dealer Esser or at Zweirad Schunder, only about 3 km away. Even more conveniently, bicycles from the Radverleih Taubertal can be delivered and picked up again. Online reservation is recommended in the peak season. For a short break on site and also for children:
- Children's playground by the Tauber (up to 12 years)
- Meeting place with fitness equipment for adults
- Boule lane at the church
- Beach volleyball court in Werbach
- Dirt bike course in Werbach
- Kneipp facilities in Werbach, Wenkheim, and Tauberbischofsheim
- Access to the Tauber river is just 50 meters away. Stand-up paddle boards can be rented from us on site. Swimming is also possible here. Fishing passes are available through the tourist information in Tauberbischofsheim.
There are public pools located 5 km away in Wenkheim (25 m lane) and in Tauberbischofsheim (33.33 m lane and diving platform – reopening after renovation in mid 2025).
For wellness enthusiasts, the Solymar Therme in Bad Mergentheim (25 km) is worth a day trip.
The gastronomy in Hochhausen and neighboring areas offers regional broom taverns, home-style cooking, beer gardens, as well as Italian and Croatian cuisine. Shopping options: Nahkauf (about 800 m away) for daily needs, supermarkets E-Center, Lidl, Aldi, and dm (about 4 km away). Sunday rolls available approximately 5 km away at Kilian Bäck towards the Tauberbischofsheim motorway entrance or at the Café/Baker in the E-Center in Wenkheim.
