Family vacation Medemblik

Ideal starting point for excursions in North Holland and to Amsterdam. Very nice house with many games (German) and very generous kitchen equipment. The only point of criticism is that entry to the indoor pool is not included - but we didn't need it often thanks to the nice weather. The Ulbricht family is very accommodating and nice, everything went perfectly.

Perfect family vacation in Medemblik – we will come back!

We spent a wonderful time in this holiday home from June 11 to 19 – together with two children, four dogs, and the grandparents. The house truly exceeded all our expectations!

The location is ideal – in just a few minutes you can reach the beach or the charming town of Medemblik by bike. Our children had a lot to discover there, and the grandparents also enjoyed the peace and beautiful surroundings very much. A special highlight was the property's own dock, where my husband could pursue his hobby of fishing – and in complete peace, as the dock is securely separated from the garden by a fence. This meant I didn't have to worry about the children or dogs – a big plus for families with little adventurers or furry companions!

The house itself was cozy, well-maintained, and fully equipped – we lacked nothing. Conclusion: A thoroughly successful vacation for all generations – we will gladly come back!

Short vacation

It was a great break for the whole family despite the not-so-good weather; we spent a wonderful time in the house. Very child-friendly accommodation where nothing is missing. The beach is a short walk away where one can enjoy nice walks or simply ride a bike. Simply a very beautiful environment. My husband was very happy that one could fish directly from the pier. We recommend the accommodation to families with children as well as those with pets; one could feel comfortable there. Thank you for that.

Dreamlike holiday for 4 generations with dog

We had a dream vacation in this holiday home in Medemblik! As a family with four generations – my wife and I (60 years old), my parents, our son, and our grandchild – and of course Leo, our French Bulldog, we felt completely comfortable and enjoyed every minute.

The house was simply fantastic! The location right by the water was perfect and made the stay particularly idyllic. Every morning, having a view of the water upon waking up was simply unmatched. A real highlight was the small boat that belonged to the house. Our grandchild couldn't get enough of it and visibly enjoyed every ride.

The house itself was flawlessly clean and excellently equipped, so we truly lacked for nothing. It is rare to feel at home in a vacation rental so quickly. Leo was also completely in his element. He could freely go out the door and explore the area, which was perfect for him. It's not always easy to find such a dog-friendly house – but here we really felt that our needs as dog owners were understood as well.

Our grandchild was enthusiastically on the soccer field at the camp every day. There, he immediately connected with other children his age and was hardly able to be pulled away. For him, the soccer field was the absolute favorite place, and it was lovely to see how much fun he was having while also making friends.

In short: This vacation was a perfectly wonderful break for all of us. The surroundings, the nature, the water, the lovingly maintained house – we will definitely be happy to come back! A huge thank you to the hosts, who did everything to make us feel comfortable from the very first minute.

A great vacation for both humans and dogs

We were there for a week with 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 dogs, and we had a great time. The house offers everything you need and is really beautifully furnished. Upon our arrival, we found it very clean. The highlight for the kids was, of course, the boat that can be used. The fenced garden was great for our dogs, and there is also a dog play area nearby. Medemblik is a beautiful little place that has some sights worth seeing, but Hoorn, Enkhuizen, and Lelystad are also worth a trip. We have a very clear recommendation!

In autumn, a very quiet location, much infrastructure around is already closed. If you are looking for some peace, this is exactly right.
Nevertheless, beautiful small towns or even Amsterdam are easily accessible.

A special highlight for us was the small boat that we were allowed to use.

A place to feel good for young and old.

We were allowed to spend two wonderful weeks here and all 7 of us (grandma, grandpa, two children, two adults, and a bulldog) felt completely comfortable. The relaxation at the private dock, the cozy boat and paddleboard trips, the proximity to the sea, and the program for the children fulfilled all our vacation wishes. Would gladly come again!

great holiday home

We were in this vacation home in the summer with our five children aged 7 to 15 years, and we can highly recommend the house. The house was very clean and very well equipped. The living and dining room are large enough for seven people, and the kitchen is also spacious and sensationally equipped. There are many games in the house, and a boat with an electric motor is available. Our children loved it. The location is also perfect. The house is located at the entrance of the park, and both the indoor pool, playground, and beach are quickly reachable on foot. We never heard noise from the indoor pool, and it was surprisingly quiet overall, even during peak season, very quiet at night. The shopping options were also convincing. The supermarket and Medemblik, with various shopping and dining options, are easily accessible by bike. We have already booked again...

Very nice week

We had a very nice week at the end of May in the holiday home - we were there with our two dogs and our 2-year-old son. Everything we needed was there. There was also a lot of toys for the little one. We also used the bicycles and the boat and were satisfied. Occasionally you can hear children screaming from the swimming pool or music from the neighboring houses, but the landlord cannot do anything about that. All in all, we felt comfortable.

Best holiday in Holland!

We stayed with two adults (two friends) and three large dogs in this beautiful little house. The location is simply perfect: cross the street and you are already at the beach. To the right, you can walk endlessly along the water and let the dogs run. To the left, you reach the town where you can stop for a coffee. The house is located right by the large parking lot and the reception, so you can reach everything quickly without it being noisy. The equipment and cleanliness left nothing to be desired: from all electronic devices, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaner, plenty of dishes/cutlery... we lacked nothing. The fenced garden invites you to linger. Simply perfect for children and/or dogs! The contact with the Ulbricht family was always uncomplicated and friendly. We will definitely come back in the same constellation!

A very nice holiday home with a great location near the beach.

We recently rented this great holiday home with three adults and two dogs and are absolutely satisfied with what we found. In terms of equipment, cleanliness, and location, we were more than satisfied. The only downside is the staircase to the first floor, which is extremely steep and not necessarily suitable for dogs, but all in all, it is a really great holiday home with a superb location at a very fair price. Pure relaxation

We (2 adults, a dog) spent a week here over New Year's and were very satisfied: We found the house very clean, the large kitchen was super equipped. Just as described. There are plenty of opportunities for beautiful walks and swimming for dogs. It was also very pleasant that there is a parking space directly in front of the house. However, a large car park is also not far away.
The garden is completely fenced and with the many seating areas and the greenery right by the water, it looks very cozy. We were able to let our dog run here without any problems. The boat can also be used in addition to SUP and bicycles. The landlady even provided an illustrated instruction manual for this.
The contact with the landlady was very nice and uncomplicated. We would love to come back ;-)

A great house in a well-maintained holiday resort. We felt very comfortable with three people and a big dog. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Plenty of children's toys available. Bicycles, boat, stand up paddle, everything is there. If you get bored here, there is no help. Medemblik is a nice little town, Hoorn and Enkhuizen are worth a visit, and of course the proximity to Amsterdam is worth mentioning.

Great holiday home right by the water

The location right next to the water is perfect - you can look out onto the water and let your soul dangle from the terrace in the small garden. The holiday home itself is very well equipped and clean. The tiles on the ground floor are great for holidays with dogs and rainy weather :-) The stairs to the upper floor and thus to the bedrooms were too steep for our dogs, but then they simply stayed on the ground floor. There are great walking opportunities, beaches and small shops in Medemblik and the surrounding area. Overall highly recommended - also for holidays with children and/or dogs.

Easy vacation with a dog

We (2 adults) spent 12 days with a dog in the beautiful holiday home. We thought it was great that there was a separate parking space for 1 vehicle right at the house, in addition to the large general parking lot. The parking card for the entire duration of our stay cost €12 (obtained at the parking reception). Since the staircase to the upper floor is a bit steep in the house and our dog is older, he could not use the stairs to the upper floor. However, this was the only restriction for our dog due to his age. Otherwise, everything was great. On the ground floor and upper floor, there is a vacuum cleaner each, which is great because you don't have to carry the vacuum cleaner up and down. The equipment in the house is very good, everything you need is there. All appliances work - which we have experienced differently in other holiday homes before. The outdoor area with garden, table and chairs, as well as its own jetty and boat, is great. The surroundings offer good opportunities for hiking, swimming, shopping, etc. - even without bikes, we were able to do a lot.

A beautiful week with unfortunately changeable weather.

We had a great week right by the water. All holiday homes in this holiday park are located on a small canal, so you can sit in the garden and look out onto the water. Just for that alone, this house is a dream. The holiday home is super equipped, with enough dishes, pots, and other utensils, everything is there. Even in bad weather, you can sit comfortably and watch the rain. Certainly not as great as in good weather, but still. To get to the beach, you just have to cross a road and walk over the dune. If you go to the right over the dune, there is a nice dog walk. Despite rainy weather, we were able to do a lot, the steam museum is within walking distance. Otherwise, you can quickly reach Enkhuizen, Hoorn, or Medemblik. There are great excursions everywhere that are fun for children too. In just over half an hour, you can drive to the other side to the North Sea if you want to go to the "real sea" once.
The contact beforehand was uncomplicated and fast, during our vacation, no communication was necessary because everything worked out.
All in all, a great week that we would love to repeat.

Family vacation

We stayed in the house for 10 days with four adults and two young children. The house is very well equipped, with enough dishes, two fridges, a cozy seating area, and a large dining table. There is a small shower room downstairs, although the shower is big enough. Upstairs, there is a larger bathroom with a second shower but no bathtub (in case anyone wants to know). There are also three bedrooms upstairs, one of them with bunk beds.

Furthermore, the house has a nice small garden and there is a gas grill, a charcoal grill, four bicycles, two child seats for the bikes, a stand-up paddle board, and a small boat with an electric motor that lasts for at least an hour on level three. The highlight of it all is the beach, which is only a stone's throw away from the house. There is also a nice beach bar there. There is a parking space right in front of the house, and additional parking spaces directly opposite. We felt comfortable all around.

Unconditionally recommended...

We arrived with 2 couples, 2 children and a dog. The house has 3 bedrooms which are rather small in size overall, but as you mainly only sleep there, it poses no challenge. One bedroom is however an explicit children's room with a bunk bed and pull-out bed. An overnight stay with 6 adults will certainly be somewhat difficult. But this is just for information so you know what to expect.

The equipment of the house is very good. The kitchen has 2 fridges and one of them has a larger freezer compartment. There is also a fairly large gas grill and a charcoal grill for use. Several games are also available.

Behind the house on the canal is a boat with an electric motor with which you can take a little trip through the canal.

We can wholeheartedly recommend the house. Here you can relax and enjoy your time.

Communication with the landlords was always friendly and good.

A nice vacation in Medemblik.

We rented the holiday home of the Ulbricht family for 2 weeks and had a great time in Medemblik. It is a very nice house, bright, clean, cozy and well-equipped. Bicycles, boats, stand up paddle board, grill, games, everything is there! You can seamlessly transition from everyday life to vacation. The beds are comfortable, we slept very well. It is also very well located. Even though it is on the outskirts, you are in the beach in two minutes (!) on foot, in the center and in the supermarket in a few minutes by bike. Despite its proximity to the swimming pool, boat rental, and parking, it was quiet there. We felt very comfortable!

Satisfied all round

We have been on holiday in Holland many times and have experienced quite a lot.

In this accommodation we were completely satisfied from start to finish. Nothing was missing. Great location, great furnished house, great additional possibilities such as the house boat (not to forget, life jackets in all possible sizes available and recently an electric motor), the SUP board or the bicycles. If you want to barbecue, there is a large gas barbecue or a charcoal barbecue.

The house has everything you need. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators with freezers, an oven, a 4-burner hob and many small appliances that you need. Another highlight is the washer-dryer. You don't necessarily have to take a lot of clothes with you, as you can comfortably wash there. On the ground floor there is a smaller bathroom with toilet and shower.

Upstairs are the 2 master bedrooms and a children's room, as well as a larger bathroom, also with shower and toilet. There is also a storage room upstairs.

There is a lot to do in the surrounding area, you can quickly reach the small but beautiful beach and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset on the terrace. You can also get to the centre of Medemblik very quickly, where you can do some great shopping.

The communication with the landlady was always smooth, fast and very friendly. The handling was also very good. Many thanks for that.

Unbeatable for families

We were in the accommodation with four adults and three small children, as well as a dog, and can only report positive things. Everything you need is there. You don't have to worry about the safety of the children because everything is fenced and secured. It was wonderful for everyone to sit on the jetty and watch the ducks. The beach 5 minutes away was a popular place to stay. All supermarkets and a small village nearby. Extensive walks with great views were a great experience for dog and us. Destinations included the beautiful kasteel and a petting zoo. In the park itself, we can also unreservedly recommend the playgrounds and swimming pool. The restaurant also offers a good selection at reasonable prices. The adults ate while the children played within sight. Every parent's dream. Contact with the landlady was friendly and courteous throughout and we always got prompt feedback if there were any questions. Above all, the cleanliness of the accommodation was very important to all of us and we had nothing to complain about. Parking right outside the door, great with the kids and luggage.

Great house with own jetty

The house is very well equipped. The kitchen offers everything you need for cooking and a highlight is the popular gas barbecue.
The house is fenced and so even small children can go into the garden with a good feeling.
The house's own rowing boat offers the possibility to explore the canals. For anglers a very good possibility to make a good catch from land or water.
The beach is within 5 minutes walking distance and was not too crowded. The extensive North Sea beaches are a good 35 minutes away. Hoorn with its good shopping facilities is also within easy reach.
There is a great fish shop in the small town of Medemblik, which can be reached by bike in 10 minutes.
We will be happy to come back.

Easter holidays

Everything was great, the house is perfectly located, everything immediately accessible.
A parking space in front of the door and a huge parking space opposite the house.
The weather was great, we could enjoy it on the jetty and also relax on the beach, which is a 2 minute walk away.
The park is great, swimming pool around the corner.
Medemblik Centrum and the harbour are close by, we also walked there.

Well equipped holiday home with charm

We were with 4 adults, 3 children and a dog in the beautiful house.

The rooms have a good layout and the beds are very comfortable. The direct location to the beach is optimal. The garden provides instant relaxation. Because it is completely fenced in, the dog could also move around freely. We couldn't use the rowing boat because of the weather, but in summer it would be a highlight, especially for the children. The bathrooms are worthy of mention. Like the whole house, they are clean and up to date. The heating contributed to the comfortable climate in the low outside temperatures. The contact with the landlady went smoothly and we always had an immediate nice answer.

House by the lake

We were allowed to stay here for 2 days with our little dog. We didn't regret it for a second! Beautiful, well-maintained, clean house in a great location. Directly at the water and ideal for fishing...we were lucky and made a great catch! The beach is also almost on the doorstep. The equipment of the house is excellent. We would love to come back!

We enjoyed our stay here very much.
The equipment was good. We were informed in detail by the hosts about everything we needed to bring ourselves, so we didn't lack anything. Especially our 3-year-old companion was very happy about some children's books and other toys!

New Year's Eve weekend

We arrived with 6 people, 2 children and 4 adults, to spend the New Year's Eve weekend. With us was the dog of our family friend.

The house is ideally located, about 2 minutes from a beautiful beach and also the centre is within walking distance. The beach area is spacious and clean, of course not usable for swimming at the end of December, but certainly a highlight in summer. There is a cosy beach pavilion directly on the first beach section, which offers delicious food and drinks and has a great outdoor area for good weather.
The entire area offers many hiking trails, which we often used for walks with the dog and children.
The centre of Medemblik is a typical small/medium sized Dutch coastal town. Here you will find many shops, snack bars and bars. The Queen Emma Park is in the immediate vicinity. This offers many play facilities for children, small animal enclosures and is also close to the coast. Excursions to the surrounding cities are also easy. Alkmar and of course Amsterdam are definitely worth a trip. But our accommodation was actually the real highlight. Due to the rather bad weather, we stayed in the house for a longer period of time, which was not a problem even with children. Toys and "children's corners" are provided ;) The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. There is everything you need to prepare food, relax or freshen up in the 2 bathrooms. The house has a direct access to the creek, a boat, a shed, a barbecue, patio furniture and a parking space in front of the entrance. The entire accommodation is childproof, which made our stay more stress-free ;) The landlords are very nice, always available and well informed about the surroundings and the house. We would be happy to come back again and recommend it without reservation! Thank you ;

Best place ever

The location of the property was perfect - it was just a short walk to the bus station.
The property was in excellent condition - it was clean and well-maintained, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay.
The property was so comfortable and cozy - we all slept really well in the comfortable beds, and the living room was a great place to relax after a day of exploring.
The owner was so helpful and responsive - they answered all of our questions promptly and were always available if we needed anything.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay at the property. We would definitely recommend it to friends and hope to stay there again in the future.

We were only there for four days and could not use the abundant accessories (bikes/boat/barbecue) due to the weather, but it was still a very pleasant time. The village is within easy walking distance and has a lot to offer visually. Restaurants are available in sufficient numbers.

Great holiday home with beautiful furnishings

For our short holiday, a great holiday home awaited us in the small town of Medemblik. The house is located a little outside the town centre, directly on a canal, which is why you can enjoy a cosy atmosphere from the terrace. A spacious table for two families, as well as a gas barbecue and a charcoal barbecue are also available in the outdoor area. You can also go on excursions with the bicycles or the boat.

The living area inside also offers enough space. The three bedrooms are neatly furnished, the bathrooms are in good condition. The kitchen offers all the necessary cooking utensils. In short: For us, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We felt completely at home and the contact with the landlords (Ulbricht family) was quick and uncomplicated at all times!

Very nice house, well furnished with everything you need

The sea is only 5 minutes away
Medemblik is a great town
We were there with our dog and he had a lot of fun including aching muscles from all the walking
We can only recommend this house and the Ulbricht family with a clear conscience

Very beautiful holiday home

The holiday home is located on the outskirts of Medemblik. By bike, it only takes 5 minutes to get to the center. Here you can stroll, eat, or shop at your leisure. The beach is also just a "stone's throw" away. This was perfect for us with a small child, as we didn't have to walk far.

The house has everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and cooking utensils. You just need to bring a cloth and paper towels. The three bedrooms are perfectly sufficient. There are two double beds (Ikea) available and a children's room with a bunk bed. There is also a dressing room on the upper floor, so all belongings can be well stored. What was also perfect for us with a small child was the available washing machine.

For children, there was some sand toys, a children's table with chairs, a high chair, and a bicycle seat on an existing ladies' bike. Our dog also felt very comfortable in the house as well as in the garden.

The active contact with the owner, Ms. Ulbricht, was absolutely positive. A timely response was always provided. You could also contact her during the stay if any questions arose. Really great!!!

We will definitely come back.

Dream vacation in Medemblik

The vacation home has its own dock, a boat, a SUP, and bicycles, so the holiday could start right away. The Ulbricht family, who had only just fulfilled their dream with this house shortly before our vacation, was always open to listening and available at any time. One could tell by their warm manner that they wanted to sweeten the holiday from the very beginning. I have rarely experienced such a well-equipped kitchen with more than enough dishes and cutlery. Thus, the spacious dishwasher did not have to run constantly. The gas stove worked so well that I wished I had one at home. Two refrigerators and a freezer with three compartments offer plenty of cooling space. A small grill and a gas grill invite you to barbecue. Medemblick is a beautiful Dutch city that has a lot to offer. A tour with the historic steam locomotive to Horn (the bus 139 provides a convenient return) or a trip with the steamship to Enkhuizen (returning by bike) or the steam engine museum. Various sandy beaches invite you to swim in the IJsselmeer. The first one is no more than 200 meters away, just across the dam. The North Sea beach can also be quickly reached by car. 14 days are not enough to experience everything. We are very eager to return.

The apartment is perfectly located and well equipped.

The following highlights particularly pleased us:
- private dock at the house
- 50 meters to the indoor pool
- 50 meters to the park reception and restaurant (roll service available)
- 50 meters to the tennis court
- long sandy beach approximately 200 meters away (cannot get closer)
- house and kitchen well equipped.
- 2 bathrooms
- and a SUP board ! ! ! ! - 4 rental bikes for adults, 1 children’s bike, 1 scooter
- nice landlords
- there are toys for small children and a stair guard. A fence to the dock also prevents accidents

All in all, highly recommended. Clearly better than the houses rented by the park.
