Description
The 300-year-old former farmhouse, surrounded by greenery, was lovingly renovated in 2022 and mostly equipped with new wooden furniture made by a carpenter.

Ground floor:
- spacious double room with a double bed (2x2m, beds can be placed separately upon request), large wardrobe and dresser, view of the garden
- generously sized kitchen (fully equipped with: refrigerator and freezer, stove (ceramic hob) with oven, small dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee maker for filter coffee, cooking and baking utensils), table and benches - space for all who wish to help with cooking. - Living room (long solid wooden table for at least 10 people with a corner bench and chairs, cozy tiled stove with bench, small table with chairs, TV; 3 children's chairs available on request)
- Bathroom with sink, shower, toilet, and washing machine
- Large hallway with coat rack and plenty of space for laundry rack, wood storage for tiled stove, containers for waste separation, etc. Upper floor:
- Spacious double room with double bed (200 x 200 cm), washbasin, wardrobe, chest of drawers and view of the garden
- Twin room (single beds 100 x 200 cm), wardrobe, view to the east of the garden. (Connecting room - connected by a door to the double room, both rooms together are well suited as a family room - with separate parent and child rooms with connecting door)
- through the large bathroom, you enter a spacious double room with a canopy bed, facing south and east
- Twin room (single beds 90 x 200 cm), view to the east of the garden
- Bathroom with shower, bathtub, toilet, sink, and dresser with towels, hairdryer (access to the canopy bed room)
- additional toilet in the hallway

Location and surroundings of object
The farmhouse is located in the Allgäu in the beautiful Weitnau valley between Kempten and Isny, 3 km from the village of Weitnau, completely surrounded by greenery, at the end of a private path, no traffic directly at the house.
The well-built cycle path (former railway embankment) between Kempten and Weitnau can be reached by bike in 2 min. Hikes to the Sonneck and the Alt-Trauchburg can be started from the house, and it is not far to the Hauchenberg on the opposite side with its lookout tower. In Weitnau you will find: grocery shops, pharmacy, general practitioner and dentist, bakery, butcher's shop, cheese shop, restaurants, children's playground and the church. The Carl-Hirnbeinweg is a beautiful family hike with many activities along the way and in the forest
The nearest towns of Kempten, Immenstadt and Isny are worth a trip. Several bathing lakes can be easily reached by car in 10 - 30 min and offer numerous attractions (from surfing, rowing boat, pedal boat to water skiing). Neuschwanstein Castle is 45 min (60km) away.
Riding stables in 5 and 15 km distance, mini-golf in 10km, golf in 5km, water sports e.g. at the Großer Alpsee near Immenstadt

If we can re-rent the apartment, you will be refunded the rental price paid by the new tenant (possibly including a last-minute discount) minus a cancellation processing fee of 30€. A deposit of 25% of the rental price is due at the time of booking, with the remaining amount payable 35 days before arrival.

Note for taller guests: On the ground floor, the traditionally lower ceiling heights have been retained: Kitchen 1.90m, in the living room and bedroom 2-2.10m; on the 1st floor normal room height
Pets are welcome, but please keep dogs on a leash outside the garden because of the other animals around the house: chickens and roosters, cats, squirrels and a dog who loves children. In the summer months cows (with bells) and horses graze behind the house
We live with our family next door in the former barn part on the west side, separate entrances. The fenced garden is used exclusively by the guests.

Wonderful!
we were able to enjoy a 10-day family vacation in this wonderful house. We are a large family with 5 children, teenagers, and adults. We had our own garden, so our dog also had a good time. The location is fantastic. Everything you need is available in the house and it has a special charm due to the mix of antique and modern elements.
You can hear the creek splashing by the house, absolutely idyllic. The landlords are very friendly and helpful. Every question was answered promptly. In addition, the house is super clean, which unfortunately we have not always found. Many thanks for this relaxing vacation!

For the number of 10 possible vacationers, the construction of an additional sanitary facility (shower/toilet) on the upper floor would be desirable. There would be space for that. The steps at the entrance of the house are in need of renewal. Otherwise, it is all okay.

Very beautiful farmhouse
The house is renovated and well equipped, the rooms very spacious and the living room with tiled stove very cosy. Ideal for a large family with the 2 bathrooms and extra WC.
Everything is as mentioned in the description. We had very nice days there and will gladly come again.

Beautiful old farmhouse
We felt really comfortable in this very old and beautifully renovated farmhouse. It was the perfect place for us to spend wonderful days with our family clan of 11 people, from the 5-month-old granddaughter to the 76-year-old brother
The landlords were very friendly, helpful - and we felt like "owners" of this great farmhouse during this time.

beautiful holiday home
I have nothing to complain about. Just a really nice holiday home that is very well equipped (even has a pizza oven, pool table and table football). It is in the middle of nature. Everything was beautifully clean and prepared when we arrived. Especially the landlords made us feel at home and were really very friendly! PS: Noch ein Hinweis zum Tischkicker und Billiard für künftige Gäste: Der Raum steht zwar oft zur Verfügung, aber nicht immer, daher haben wir ihn nur "nach Absprache" in der Beschreibung erwähnt ;-) . Der Pizzaofen steht nicht mehr zur Verfügung.
