If there is a place to dream and relax, it could undoubtedly be this one. In the midst of Mecklenburg's most beautiful nature, between Schönlager Lake, the Warnow River, fields and forests, "Villa Schönlage" blends very harmoniously into the impressive landscape. On 110 m², up to 6 people have enough space for a relaxing holiday. The high-quality and rustic furnishings ensure a feel-good atmosphere. You can prepare your favourite meals in the fully equipped kitchen. If you wish, you can even get an egg from the farm's own chickens in the morning. The bathroom is equipped with a ground-level shower + bathtub. The cosy bedroom with double bed invites you to sleep in. 2 more people can make themselves comfortable on the sofa bed in the living room. If the house is booked by 5-6 people, there is another bedroom with sofa bed and another full bathroom on the lower floor. The flat has 2 balconies with a fantastic view into the garden and over the field. You can access the balcony from all rooms.
The large park-like garden invites you to relax, play and discover. Several seating areas are available for your sole use. Make yourself comfortable by the pond, for example, and watch the koi carp or read a book under the fruit trees and listen to the birds. Your four-legged friend is also welcome. The property is completely fenced.

Lake Schönlager is only a few steps away from the property. You will find plenty of small bathing and fishing spots here, so you can jump into the lake undisturbed in the morning. Lake Schönlager is motorboat-free and unspoilt, so you can enjoy the view to the full. The holiday home is located in a small, tranquil village, within walking distance between the two nature reserves of the dry slopes and the middle Warnow valley. The Warnow River, which is very popular with canoeists, can also be reached on foot in 10 minutes. The large forest area of the Sternberger Seenland Nature Park borders directly on the property. You can spend the whole day hiking through forests, along small rivers, streams and lakes and reach popular excursion destinations such as Kaarz Castle or the Red Lake with its inn.
Leisure and excursion destinations
The leisure and excursion possibilities in the region are almost unlimited. Nature lovers can, for example, go on horse-drawn carriage rides, canoe tours, boat trips or guided hikes. For culture lovers, we recommend the capital Schwerin, approx. 25 km away, with its beautiful old town and Schwerin Castle, which is one of the most beautiful in Germany. In the immediate vicinity you will also find an archaeological open-air museum, nature park centre, art galleries, potter's farms, water mills, chicken graves and much more. The beautiful beaches of the Baltic Sea are only 40 km away. For an excursion with the family, you can visit the Oase adventure pool with sauna area in Güstrow, the trampoline hall or the zoo in Schwerin. A trip to the Pirate Open Air Theatre in Grevesmühlen and the Nature and Environment Park in Güstrow is also highly recommended.

Short trip to Mecklenburg
A very nice holiday apartment with plenty of space and good amenities. Furnished with a lot of love and very nice landlords. The landlady personally handed us the keys despite our late arrival at night and ensured there was lighting. Even during our late return in the dark during our stay, the light on the way to the house was turned on for us. We felt very comfortable.

Pure nature
The villa is located off the main roads, surrounded by a very beautiful, large garden, which you can enjoy not only from the balcony. A small bathing lake is less than a 5-minute walk away. We were greeted with homemade cake and coffee and were very happy about the fresh eggs.
The area is quiet and very relaxing, Schwerin and the Baltic Sea can be reached in 30-45 minutes. We would love to come back again.

Very nice
The house is located very quietly on the outskirts of Schönlage, it is not far to the Schönlager See, which invites you to relax. At night, you can wonderfully listen to the surrounding nature, which I liked very much.
The landlords live on the ground floor and are super nice, very dedicated and open-minded. There are chickens on the property, whose eggs you can buy at a fair price for organic eggs.
We would go on vacation there anytime.

Peace and solitude
Very nice landlords and clean apartment. Beds and mattresses were good. Quiet location in a village with 100 inhabitants with nice villagers. We were welcomed with coffee and cake and fresh cherries, were allowed to pick and keep more cherries, and in between there were always nice words exchanged. A parking space for cars is available on the huge property. The use of the elaborately designed garden was free for us. Barbecue facilities are available. One disadvantage is the lack of window darkening, which resulted in early wake-up calls in the summer months and is not suitable for late sleepers. The nearest shopping facility is about 8 km away.
