The charm of the hut lies in its very beautiful, quiet location at a high altitude with a fantastic view! The night sky filled with stars is also something special. Suitable as a starting point for various activities. The cheese dairy located above it is always worth a visit.

... very beautiful rustic wooden cabin with a picturesque atmosphere

We (2 families) spent two beautiful weeks in the cabin with picturesque views and rustic charm. There was enough space for everyone to be together or have some alone time.
In the evenings, you can enjoy time inside and outside with barbecuing, playing games, or relaxing in the infrared sauna. The equipment was complete and everything was in order. The journey via the long alpine trail is adventurous, but manageable with non-lowered cars and easy to master after several uses ^^

The landlady guided us excellently and spoiled us (with delicious cake)!

Fresh cow's milk is available daily around the corner by arrangement, as well as dairy products... at the cheese alp.

It was very nice with them and we can highly recommend everything here!

Rustic hut in a beautiful location

Beautiful cabin in a great location with good amenities. The path to the cabin is not a problem in the summer. We highly recommend the cheese from the Bischofer Käsalm. Very friendly hostess. We will gladly come back.

Great valley view from a beautiful alpine hut

We enjoyed being in this hut, which lacks no comfort, carefully renovated so that the aura of the mountain hut is preserved. The landlords were very friendly. The view of the valley is overwhelming. It was very quiet, although the neighboring chalet was also empty. Great hikes are possible right from the house.

Relaxing vacation in a great location

We as a family with a dog had wonderful and relaxing days at the Bischoferhütte. A dream location with a view of the Alpbach Valley promises pure relaxation from the start. Additionally, a courteous landlady, Resi Kostenzer, who provided nice surprises.
We really enjoyed it and can imagine another stay at the hut very well.
Tip: Definitely try the delicious cheese at the Bischofer Käsalm.

We (3 adults, 1 dog) had a great week at the Bischoferhütte. The location and the view - simply fantastic! The hut lacks nothing and the Kostenzer family is super uncomplicated and helpful. For example, we didn't have snow chains and were able to borrow some, including delivery and installation support. Everywhere you feel that the family cares about their guests feeling completely comfortable. Thank you for the great week!

Exklusive wunderschöne urige Berghütte

Perfect cabin holiday for 2 families with a great panoramic view of the ski area in a secluded location.

The good equipment in the house provides everything needed to cater for oneself. The arrangement of the rooms, kitchen, beautiful new bathrooms, as well as the balcony and terrace offer plenty of space and coziness for both families alike (shared kitchen). Franz, who safely guided us to the accommodation upon arrival, provided us with his hut taxi for the week for easy transportation. Great service.

The location is fantastic, and you can reach the cable car in about 15 minutes by car.

We would have liked to stay longer and will come back.

Pure hut life!

By chance, we came across this incredibly amazing hut and it captivated us! Dreamlike landscape, beautiful panorama, great hiking trails - or in our case, sledding :-). The hut was lovingly furnished, and the warm service from Resi and Franz rounded everything off perfectly. We say THANK YOU and are sure that we will not be the last time at Bischoferalm! Almhütten pur

Very beautiful panoramic view, cowbells, absolute peace. It would have been difficult to drive up to the cottage without an SUV. The Alpine hut has everything you need, except for a fly swatter and a squeegee for the shower, we didn't miss anything. Resi is very friendly and helpful and is always available to assist with questions. Outdoor pools, crystal-clear natural lakes, mountain cable cars, scenic hiking trails, and a summer toboggan run are nearby and can be used mostly for free with the Alpbach holiday card. The card is included and saved our family of 5 several hundred euros. Unfortunately, we only had 1 week and couldn't do everything we had planned. It was a very nice holiday in Tyrol.

Tipp Topp clean mountain hut with a great location above the Alpbachtal. Great view. Absolutely practical facilities, especially the barbecue area on the large terrace. Great opportunity to relax!

We were there with the whole family and really enjoyed it. The cabin has a very cozy wooden style atmosphere and the view is simply fantastic. Because it is somewhat secluded, you can really relax and unwind there. Resi and Franz were also so kind and lent us their bus, equipped with snow chains and all-wheel drive, for the whole week, so driving up and down was not a problem. We were all 100% satisfied and would definitely want to come back.

Simply great!

We (2 adults with 4 children aged 14-22) have already done cabin vacations several times. The Bischofer Hut was the best so far. Everything fits, location, amenities, cleanliness. No wishes were left unfulfilled. And of course, the friendly and uncomplicated care by Resi is simply beautiful. You feel comfortable from the first minute; vacation with friends. The tranquility cannot be surpassed. A tiny downside is that you have to take the garbage yourself, but that wasn't really a problem.
Otherwise just great; Resi, thank you very much.

Very lovely holiday home with a great view

As always warmly welcomed, everything perfect as expected - even the weather. Ideal for relaxation from everyday life. Very cozy and ideal for families with children. The daily sledging down to go skiing - unique! Our children were thrilled. The adjoining snow-covered meadow was sometimes an igloo site, sometimes a perfect area for rolling around. And for adults, the mandatory evening red wine on the balcony with a view of the Alpbachtal in the setting sun.

Rustic Cabin in the Mountains

We were there at the beginning of January. We arrived "in the green" and then it snowed. Wonderful!
The cabin is rustic and comfortably furnished, with 4 bedrooms and 10 beds on 2 levels.
There is nothing lacking, the house is very well equipped. All the beds are now on the ground floor, no bunk beds anymore.
The landlords are always available and really take care of you. The bathrooms and the infrared sauna are great.
We were there with 10 people and felt very comfortable! The landlord provided us with a VW bus because our cars could not make it up the mountain in the snow. With all-wheel drive and 4 snow chains, it worked very well. Thank you again!!!!

Pure relaxation!

We had 3 very nice weeks in the quaint cottage! We were lucky with the weather, so we could make good use of the great balcony and terrace. Great view of the surrounding mountains. The wood stove and the dark wood in the hut create a very warm and beautiful atmosphere. The cows right under the balcony or in front of the terrace were an additional highlight. The landlords are very nice. The Alpbachtal is a really beautiful valley for hiking. We felt very comfortable, slept very well, and rested well.

What a nice cabin!

We were two families with children and had a fantastic holiday. The van that had to take us up the mountain due to snow/ice was always punctual. Great value for money! New charming bathrooms and everything was available.

It was beautiful.

I have to admit, I was already a bit nervous on the way there. . . you read about snow chains and all-wheel drive from time to time. . . but here you have to take it seriously :-) BUT and I want to emphasize this again afterwards. . . it's really great how the Kostenzer family takes care of you.
We were provided with a VW bus with all-wheel drive and snow chains, so we were mobile at all times - alternatively, we could have taken the hut taxi. . . Thanks again for that. . . The cabin itself is great... the location and the view are fantastic - especially when the sun is shining, The equipment provides everything you need. My fellow travelers found it a bit of a shame that there is no way inside the cabin to access the lower floor with the two bedrooms and the infrared sauna... I have to say, I think that's what gives the cabin its charm... tastes differ. I can absolutely recommend the cabin. However, one should be aware that it is truly out of the ordinary, a forest/gravel path leads to the cabin, and the two floors are connected only by a path through the fresh air. I personally thought it was great. I don't think everyone in our travel group would agree to a return visit. Above the cabin is the mountain pasture, which is also very lovingly furnished. When it is not rented, you can enjoy excellent food and drinks here. When there is enough snow, you can also find sleds here that you can use for the descent into the valley. I find this equally noteworthy as the fact that our kids were allowed to take a few rounds on the ponies despite the winter season.

Super Urlaub mit Hund

We spent a wonderful holiday with our dog in the Bischoferhütte below the Bischofer Alm. The equipment of the house is simply great, very cozy and above all everything is spotlessly clean. The view from the balcony and the terrace is unique. You look out over the entire valley. In the Bischofer Alm above the hut, you can eat very well, especially the bacon and cheese dumpling soup had us hooked. The host family is super nice, and you feel well taken care of. When the internet wasn't working one time, a solution was promptly provided. You couldn't ask for better care.

We can only recommend the Kuschelhütte. If you are looking for a quiet, cozy, and romantic holiday destination, you are in good hands there.

Dream week in the Tyrolean Alps.

A perfect place to unwind, relax, and go for walks (I was lazy ;)), the view from the balcony over the valley - unique. In reality, the cabin and surroundings are much more beautiful than pictures could only partially describe. A place of open warmth - it didn't take a day to feel "at home." The cabin, with its 150 years, is very comfortable, lovingly maintained, and very clean. The hosts are as the word suggests, giving to the guest - obliging, interested, uncomplicated, and helpful. I loved knowing that I didn't have to cook, as the managed alpine meadow is nearby, as well as the hiking trail right outside the door. Great week, great vacation - I will come back. Recommending it - reluctantly - it's my insider tip, otherwise I won't get the cabin anymore. ;))) Greetings from Vienna.

New Year's Eve at the Bischoferhütte

We spent New Year's Eve 2013 with a total of 11 people at the Bischoferhütte. Upon arrival, we were already positively surprised because the atmosphere of the cabin really comes across in person and does not show well in the photos. The cabin is super cozy and very rustic. Just as you imagine a cabin holiday. We felt comfortable right away and the lack of snow did not bother us at all. The view from the cabin over the valley is simply magnificent and indescribable. You have to experience it. We highly recommend the cabin!

Christmas at the Bischoferhütte

We had booked the Bischoferhütte for 7 people (4 adults and 2 teenagers) over Christmas. The hut exceeded our expectations in terms of equipment, tasteful furnishings, and coziness. The location is beautiful with views of all the surrounding mountains and plenty of sunshine. The Kostenzer family took good care of our well-being and was always available by phone for transport to the hut. We are already looking forward to the next time! 😊

The vacation was great. The huts were very tastefully and cozily furnished. The location is also excellent. You practically float above the valley and have a great view from the balcony or terrace of Alpbach and the surrounding mountains. Beautiful, for example, during a leisurely breakfast. Vacation at Bischoferhütte

If you like mountains and nature, and prefer to stay a bit away from mass tourism during your vacation, this is the perfect place for you. The cabin is very cozy and equipped with all the necessary things. It stands out for its absolute tranquility, you only hear nature: birds singing, a cow mooing in the distance, and occasionally a deer jumping through the bushes... Simply idyllic! We spent a week here with our two children (4 and 6 years old) and are thrilled. There are plenty of excursion destinations in the area.
So far, our most beautiful hiking vacation! ! ! !

As it should be

The cabin is great. It has everything you need, and if something doesn't work, the 'boss' is right there to help. We were also welcomed very warmly and will definitely spend our vacation there again. On top of that, there's the best schnitzel available at the mountain hut next door!! The only downside in terms of equipment is one of the bathrooms – but you don't spend your vacation there.

Bischoferhütte Autumn 2012

We were guests at the Bischoferhütte for the first time during the autumn holidays and all 4 (children 9 and 7) really enjoyed this vacation! The location and equipment of the hut (especially the kitchen and good beds), the friendly hosts, and the opportunity to ride as desired are fantastic. The surrounding mountains offer a variety of tours suitable for a great hiking vacation. In bad weather, there are also many family-friendly activities (some of which can be used for free or at a discount thanks to the Alpbach Card). We would do this vacation again immediately!

Great mountain cabin vacation in August 2012.

We have spent 14 wonderful and sunny days at the Bischoferhütte for the second time. Just two days back home, and I already miss it again! Everything fits perfectly: the lovingly designed hut, which despite its rustic character offers modern comfort with a flat-screen TV, infrared sauna, and dishwasher. The beautiful nature, the magnificent view, and an indescribable starry sky that blessed us with many shooting stars this year. Not to be forgotten are the dear hosts, who were immediately available when you had a question. Anyone dreaming of a vacation on a mountain hut - here, their dream comes true!

FÜr kleinere Kinder bewegt man besser das Auto zum Auf und Abstieg. Hütte ist wunderschön auf der Alm gelegen. Sehr sonnig, was auf den Fotos nicht so zu sehen ist.

free time activities: Alpbach hat im Sommer für Kinder viel zu bieten. Schwimmbad in Wörgl ist toll, Lauserland und Rafting in Kramsach. Perfekt ist auch, dass man kostenlos reiten oder die Kinder mit den Ponys kuscheln, putzen können.

shopping facilities: Spar ist im Dorf und der ortseigene Bäcker hat lecker Hefebrötchen und Brot

Äußerst empfehlenswerte Selbstversorgerhütte

This cabin really exceeded our expectations: cozy and rustic (after all, you are on a cabin), there is plenty of space both inside and around the cabin. 2 (!) outdoor seating areas with great views and a covered seating area with a grill, so the perfect sunny spot at any time of day. The room layout is optimal for 2-3 families. The cabin's equipment goes beyond the usual standards. The infrared sauna is the icing on the cake after hikes or mountain bike tours. The cabin is perfectly located for all kinds of outdoor activities. Ideal for families or groups of up to 12 people. The cabin owners are very, very nice!

cabin for the warm season

We were guests at the Bischofer hut over the long weekend from Thursday to unfortunately only Saturday, as the hut is only rented until the changeover day. It was a great effort for us to bring the bed linen and towels. I only realized shortly before departure that this was necessary. Unfortunately, the weather was very unfriendly in mid-May (the hut was partially snowed in). The cabin has a lot of charm inside, but the communal room is rather small and has very small windows. This type of construction was common in the past, but we had to turn on the lights during the day. When the weather is nice and you spend most of your time outside, the cabin is very nice as it has 2 outdoor seating areas. The lower floor can only be accessed from outside via an external staircase. the 2 upper bunk beds have no safety railing and no ladder, so I wouldn't let any child sleep up there.
