Description
Breckerfeld is the southernmost town of the Ruhr area, the gateway to the Sauerland.
In a suburb you will find our house with the 58 sqm non-smoking vacation apartment. From the apartment, which is located on the 1st floor, you have a wide view up to the Ebbegebirge. Behind fields and a small forest glitters the water of the Glörtalsperre, which can be reached by a footpath within 10 minutes.
A bathing possibility with sand islands, playground, catering trade and Trimm-Dich area offers the environment of the dam.
Around the dam and also in the direct surrounding area there are many hiking and/or biking possibilities.
Pure nature to relax and unwind.
In Breckerfeld directly (3 km away) there are stores for daily needs and some restaurant
Hagen, Ennepetal and Lüdenscheid are the next bigger cities.
Equipment of the vacation apartment:
The room layout of our bright vacation apartment is generous. In addition to the bedroom with a new box spring bed and a desk, there is a living room with a pull-out couch that can sleep two people.
The kitchenette with dishwasher extends over a total of two sides of the kitchen. At a large dining table you can start the day comfortably or end it with a delicious meal. A stove and oven are available, as well as a refrigerator-freezer combination
In the bathroom there is a shower and a bathtub. Two people can comfortably sit at the two large vanities with base cabinets. A hair dryer is ready.
All rooms have electric shutters and underfloor heating. There is a large television in the living room.
The kitchen is equipped with a pad and a capsule machine for coffee preparation. A toaster, kettle, egg boiler and microwave are ready.
Our house is surrounded by a large garden. This can be shared. You have your own beach chair and seating area.
Enjoy the peace and seclusion with a perfect view!
Directly in front of the house you can park your car. In the garage your bicycles / motorcycles have space.

Our house is located in the state-recognized resort of Breckerfeld with 8,000 inhabitants just outside the town on highway 528 in the direction of Halver. In the district Branten you turn left in the direction of the youth hostel and the shooting range
Coming through Volmetal, turn right at the railroad crossing in Schalksmühle - Dahlerbrück in the direction of Glörtalsperre/Breckerfeld. After 3 km follow the sign to the left in the direction of "Loh"
Art lovers will find historical treasures in the Lutheran church (wing carving altar), a Pieta in the Catholic church as well as in the town museum.
In addition to the regular traditional festivals, a varied cultural program offers interesting music, art and entertainment.

Art lovers will find historical treasures in the Protestant church (wing carving altar), a Pieta in the Catholic church and in the city museum. In the mill yard you will find a Bockwindmühle, which was built in 1846 in Beeskow (near Frankfurt / Oder) in the Mark Brandenburg, dismantled in 1996, restored and rebuilt here. It is equipped with two crested wheels, a bag hoist and a stone lifting crane. Two wings are covered with canvas, the other two are louvered wings.

Amazing holiday home
Completely unexpectedly ended up here. We had once walked around here a long time ago and already thought it was a beautiful house. This time booked. When we entered, we saw that it was larger than in the photos, which was already a plus. The property looked very tidy, and what a view, wow, another plus. The garden is also great, so much space, there's always a nice spot to be found (sun or shade). So another plus. We were warmly welcomed, and if there were any questions, we could always turn to them. I would recommend this holiday home. We hope to return here to spend our vacation again. You have a nice spot there in Loh.

Very nice and relaxing short break.
Beautiful short break, lovely apartment, wonderfully located.
The location and beautiful garden with a view of the Glörtalsperre are a dream. Here you will find pure peace and relaxation. We enjoyed 3 wonderful days from start to finish and felt very comfortable. Just right for nature lovers. All in all, it was a wonderful, very relaxing short break that you would like to repeat! A big praise and thanks to the landlords, who are very warm and accommodating. We will definitely visit this quiet, idyllic place again and highly recommend it. Many thanks to the Koch family.

Beautiful short vacation
Thank you very much for these beautiful days. The vacation rental is top-notch, I would set up and feel comfortable in the same way. The landlords are super warm and loving. I have never been welcomed so warmly. I don't want to reveal too much now, but there was a welcome gift waiting for us that brought tears to our eyes. Nice short holiday
We had a wonderful stay in the vacation apartment in Breckerfeld. The location is simply fantastic, quiet and surrounded by greenery, with a wonderful view of the surrounding forests and the Glörtalsperre lake.
The apartment itself is very well-maintained and modernly furnished, which made our stay extremely comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large garden, which provided plenty of space for relaxation.
Our hosts were extremely friendly and always approachable. The individual gift for each guest was a very nice gesture.
We would love to come back and can highly recommend this vacation apartment!

Great apartment with a pool and garden close to the city center.
The holiday apartment is located in a small village. Absolute quiet idyll with a great view into the valley. The area is in the low mountain range. The location invites you to hike or cycle. If you don't want to cycle sportily, an e-bike is recommended.
The apartment is very well maintained, modern, and comfortably furnished.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Ideal retreat in Breckerfeld
During our house renovation, this holiday apartment in Breckerfeld not only proved to be a practical interim solution but also a true place of relaxation. Located in the small village of Loh near the Glörtalsperre, it offered a successful blend of comfort and a relaxed atmosphere.
Every day we were enchanted by the breathtaking views of the forests of the Sauerland and the Glörtalsperre, especially when the weather kept changing. The secluded location and fresh air provided for a deep and restful sleep. The proximity to nature allowed us to observe deer and red kites and to listen to the mysterious call of the Tawny Owl at night.
The attic apartment was extremely cozy and inviting, with a practical layout. A fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom with a bathtub, and the exemplary cleanliness matched the description and photos exactly. The opportunity to safely park two cars and use a double garage for our bicycles and motorcycle added to a worry-free stay.
The quiet and down-to-earth landlord couple is very friendly and helpful. The nearby shopping options in Breckerfeld and Schalksmühle perfectly covered our daily needs. The price-performance ratio of the apartment is extremely fair.
Conclusion: This holiday apartment in Breckerfeld was far more than just a temporary accommodation during our renovation work. It offered peace, comfort, and proximity to nature, allowing us to leave the everyday stress behind. Our warm thanks go to Birgit and Ulli for the unforgettable time! We recommend this accommodation to everyone without reservation.

the best short vacation nearby
That was a great vacation right on our doorstep. The apartment was beautifully furnished and equipped. Especially the kitchen, there was nothing missing. Everything you need is there. The garden was luxuriously large and often a dove sat on a sadly dead tree. It had something of a vulture :-) When looking out of the windows, one could think one was in the foothills of the Alps. Before breakfast and after dinner, you could watch deer and the season was ideal for blackberry lovers. Hikes to the Glör river and trips to the surrounding towns (Attendorn with the Attahöhle, Hagen Open Air Museum, etc.) were possible even after a hearty breakfast. All in all, we would come back at any time and can recommend without hesitation. If you love peace and quiet, you are in good hands here. The landlords were friendly and helpful and there was also an individual host gift.

Great vacation rental
The apartment is located in a great and very quiet location in the countryside. Ideal for hiking near the Glörtalsperre. In the apartment/kitchen/bathroom, everything you need for daily needs is available and it is very clean with great views. The hosts are extremely friendly and always there if you have questions and requests. You can also use a huge garden, and there is also a grill available. We had a wonderful time here and will definitely come back.

Pure nature in the Sauerland
The spacious and fully equipped holiday flat of the lovely Koch family made the time-out in the nature of the Sauerland a luxurious experience
Besides the parking facilities, the shared use of the huge garden, the view of the Glörtalsperre was another highlight.
We explored the great area on foot and with the MTB, it went lively up and down
There are plenty of shopping facilities in nearby Breckerfeld (5 minutes by car)
We can only warmly recommend the Koch family's holiday flat!

How wonderful - arrived from the withered Rhine-Main area and immediately notice how nice cool and fresh the area is
Thank you for this wonderful holiday home, not far from the Rhine-Main hustle and bustle, but still in a completely different world
A huge garden, even if not fenced in, nevertheless very well accepted by dogs, explored and admired for days.
One step out of the garden and you're already in the giant pasture, full of lush, fragrant herbs, dandelions and white clover. My dogs didn't want to leave - just stay there and enjoy the beautiful view. Exactly what we were looking for.
But the best thing is the Koch family's warm, hospitable and sincere manner. They make you feel really comfortable and relaxed - thank you very much for that!

My family and I wanted to take a short vacation, and this holiday home was perfect for us since it is next to Cologne and Phantasialand, but the area itself is also pretty and nice. The tenants were very hospitable, and there was also everything you might need in an emergency. A grocery store is nearby.
It was a great experience to recommend!

Very nice, spacious apartment, attentive landlords.
We were guests with our motorcycles and were warmly welcomed right away. We felt comfortable immediately and enjoyed the beautiful view. There is a small reservoir nearby for a short walk, so you can just set off on foot. Those seeking nature and tranquility are exactly right here. The holiday apartment is spacious and equipped with everything you need. Very nice and attentive landlords. We would gladly return!
