Our newly renovated holiday home is approximately 96 sqm in size and is located in a completely quiet area, ideal for 5 people. It is situated at the end of a small row house development with a front view facing the greenery, and at the bottom of the small one-way street, there is a pond. Right outside the door, there are two large lawns perfect for kicking a ball around and romping. The city center is only about 900 meters away, and it’s just a few steps to the forest and the first fields. The house has a very sunny living room with a terrace and a small fenced garden, as well as a garden shed. Since there is a balcony in one of the bedrooms above the terrace door of the living room, you can sit outside even when it's lightly raining. Due to its sheltered position and ideal sun orientation, you can sit outside very relaxed even with mild temperatures and sunshine. There is a garden shed with garden chairs, a table, a grill, and a sun umbrella inside. Ground floor:

The Bismarck Tower, which is only about 300 metres away from Haus Siggi, stands on the Vogelberg, the highest point in Lütjenburg, and is a landmark of the town, inviting visitors all year round. Built in 1898, the tower guarantees marvellous views of the surrounding countryside. From here, you can look out over the entire Hohwacht Bay and Holstein Switzerland. The view extends across the Baltic Sea as far as the Danish islands.
Another attraction in Lütjenburg is the reconstruction of a wooden medieval tower castle in Nienthal, surrounded by a medieval village that is unique in the whole of northern Germany. Here you can experience history at first hand and during the Viking Days you can actively take part in knights' battles or the simple life of the time. The small but lovely village is a real experience for young and old.
The Ice Age Museum in Nienthal also brings history to life. The formation of today's hilly northern Germany through the ice ages and the skeletons, fossils, rocks and minerals on display are impressive.
The cultural programme around Lütjenburg is very varied.
There are some great artists, studios, galleries as well as readings and music events!
The Panker estate (4.5km) is a picturesque little village. With its baroque manor house, the chapel, a mighty gatehouse, old farm and residential buildings, stables, horses and endless green pastures. A narrow road leads between the rows of houses. Even today, you can still trace the over 500-year-old history of the estate here. Gut Panker is famous for its Trakehner breeding. Around 30 horses romp around the pastures surrounding the manor house in summer.
The Hessenstein observation tower, which belongs to the estate and stands on the Pilsberg (137 metres), is not only home to the legendary Hessenstein forester's lodge, the view from there is also worth a visit.
The various beaches are approx. 7-11 km away.
In Behrensdorf on the Baltic Sea, the landmark Neuland lighthouse towers high into the sky!
It was built in 1918 and is a proud 40 metres high! There are several visitor days in July and August! There is no tourist tax to pay and there is also a dog beach and a nudist beach. There is also a dog beach in Hohwacht approx. 7 km away (subject to visitor's tax) and you can also go swimming with your dog free of charge at Lippe harbour. In Sehlendorf approx. 11 km is the beach with the finest sand in Hohwacht Bay, where you can pay visitor's tax and bring your dog. Hohenfelde is approx. 8 km away and everything is free there!

Bird chirping and proximity to the city
Booked in January and eagerly awaited, we were able to move into Haus Sigi in Lütjenburg, which has been extensively renovated, on the planned date as the first guests. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Richter and shown around the house. We were particularly impressed by the great color scheme, the loving furnishings of the bright rooms (darkening is possible), and the art on the walls! Despite being close to the town, we were able to enjoy the peace and bird chirping in the small, sunny garden. Until next time!
