Our detached and high quality furnished non-smoking vacation home (extensive renovation in spring 2022) is located in the vacation home park "Zeeland Village" in Scharendijke just a stone's throw from the seaside resorts of Renesse and Burgh Haamstede and about 500 m from the Grevelingen Sea. It offers on 95 m2 a lot of space for max. 6 persons.
Ideal rest and relaxation can be found in the garden with the south-facing terrace or on the west-facing covered large terrace with lounge. The cottage has a beautiful garden with lawn and complete garden facilities. (plot 368 m2)
You can expect: 4 bedrooms, 2 guest toilets, modern bathroom with rain shower, large living room with dining room, modern high quality kitchen, storage room with washing machine and ironing equipment

Location and surroundings of object
Opposite the resort is a marina and the city center. It is wonderfully quiet there. However, if you want more liveliness, you are not far from the nearby and well-known seaside resort of Renesse.
The Grevelingen Sea is the largest and cleanest saltwater lake in Europe. The lake is a well-known windsurfing area and also offers wonderful opportunities for all other water sports such as sailing, fishing, canoeing, diving and rowing. In addition, boat trips are very popular.
In the immediate vicinity there are very well developed bike paths. From the vacation home you can cycle along the beach path to Renesse and the nearby Port Greve (on the Grevelingen Sea), to the picturesque village of Brouwershaven and the beach of Brouwersdam or to the village of Burgh Haamstede.
Brouwershaven is nearby and has an inland harbor, a fishmonger, some bistros and stores that can be easily reached by bike.
There are many restaurants in the area
The beautiful Zierikzee with inland harbor, stores and restaurants or the municipality of Veere on Walcheren are certainly worth a visit.
The fantastic pristine sandy beaches are miles long and perfect for hours of beach walks.
Nearby you can also go horseback riding.
At the Brouwersdam you can go cycling and inline skating very nicely and at the same time you have a great view of the Grevelingen Sea on one side and the North Sea on the other.
Near Burgh Haamstede there is a forest (Boswachterij Westerschouwen). In this area you can also make beautiful walks or visit the exhibition about the storm surge weirs in the Oosterschelde on the island "Neeltje Jans" (very worth seeing). There is also an information center about the Delta Works in the Netherlands. In addition, in Burgh Haamstede there is a well-known glider airport.
Surroundings
Scharendijke is located on the Zeeland island Schouwen-Duiveland and borders on the North Sea and the Grevelingen Sea. Scharedijke is a small seaside resort with a few restaurants, a pub, supermarket, newsagent, store for household goods and a bicycle rental.
Zeeland Schouwen-Duiveland is the northernmost part of the province of Zeeland. To the north lies the Brouwersdam and the Grevelingen Sea, to the south the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier. Here are the widest beaches in Zeeland and therefore the best conditions for kite flying, kite surfing or for a trip with the beach buggy. But you can also just enjoy the sun.
This area has the most hours of sunshine in the Netherlands.

Beautiful time in Zeeland
It is a beautiful and very tastefully furnished holiday home, where everything is available. The Scherer family are very nice and accommodating landlords. Everything went perfectly. We had a great stay and would love to come back!

Dream vacation
In this house, nothing is missing. You can just feel comfortable. Everything really fits. Booking was also smooth and the landlord was incredibly nice and helpful. We will come back.

Holiday home Scharendijke
We were greeted very kindly by the management and could contact them at any time. The holiday home was very clean and everything you need for everyday life was available. The kitchen was fully equipped. The best thing was the fully automatic coffee machine, so we could start the day with latte machiatto.
Unfortunately, the weather was very mixed and so we could not use the beautiful terrace. We were with a toddler and that also went without a hitch. There are 2 playgrounds in the immediate vicinity. We felt very comfortable in the holiday home and will definitely come again.

Beautiful accommodation for families
General Information:
The little house is located right at the entrance of the park, yet still in a quiet location. The small pool of the facility can be reached on foot in 3 minutes, but unfortunately, it was only open 4 days a week, depending on the reception hours.
The key handover was trouble-free after a short phone call.
The laundry and towel set cost €12.50 per person.
The tourist tax cost approximately €1.95 per person per day. Additionally, there were costs for electricity and water, which were settled via the meter readings provided upon arrival and departure. A large Plus market was reachable on foot within 7 minutes.
The house:
It is modernly furnished, the bathrooms and kitchen are impeccable, and the kitchen equipment is truly extensive. A coated pan was missing, but this is understandable due to its sensitivity. The only downside from our perspective was the beds with loosely lying mattresses. They slipped apart at night with every movement and glided away from each other in the double bed.
The children's equipment was extensive, including a high chair, child bed, stair guard, stools in the bathroom, and children's dishes.
The garden is small but completely shielded from view by bushes, and the lawn area was sufficient for the children to kick around.
A charcoal grill is also available.
Conclusion:
A modern feel-good house, ideal for families with 2-3 children.
