Description

This comfortably furnished holiday home is located in a quiet residential area of Greetsiel. The centre of Greetsiel, with its harbour, shops and restaurants, is within walking distance. On approx. 85 sqm, on two levels, there is enough space for up to 4 - 5 people
The house has Wifi. It has two bedrooms on the first floor, each with two beds. In one room there is a cot and an extra bed (80x200). In the house there is a bathroom with shower on the upper floor and a guest toilet in the basement
On the ground floor there is the living room (Smart TV, DVD, CD, radio) ,with the dining area
From the living room you have direct access to the covered terrace and the garden with garden furniture and barbecue.
The open kitchen is fully equipped. There is a dishwasher, washing machine (for a fee), microwave, water cooker, egg cooker, hot-air oven, freezer etc.
On cool days you have the possibility to make yourself comfortable in front of the fireplace.
A high chair and stair gate are available for children.
Please bring your own towels and bed linen!

Location and surroundings of object

My holiday home is located in Greetsiel on the edge of a loosely built settlement. Quiet cul-de-sac. You can see the dyke and have a view as far as the Pilsum lighthouse. The harbour, dike, shopping facilities and varied gastronomy are within walking distance. (600-800 m.)
Historic, old fishing village. Known for its two mills and harbour with the shrimp boats. The village offers many leisure facilities. A small indoor swimming pool with sauna, solarium and wellness centre in the village. Canal trips. Island trips to Juist and Borkum. A small bathing lake with a sandy beach is located directly behind the dyke.
Greetsiel is an ideal starting point for cycling tours and canoeing. Within a radius of 20 km you can reach Emden and Norden/Norddeich with sandy beach, outdoor/indoor swimming pool. There are good shopping facilities in the village. Doctors and a pharmacy are also available.

Well, it went.

Everything old was told to us, the kitchen will be done in the summer, but it hasn't been done yet. The stairs are worn out, the toilet downstairs wobbles, and the terrace is a disaster. The garden furniture is already falling apart, one chair is missing the backrest, and the grill needs to be disposed of. The area around the house really needs to be done; the only good thing is the proximity to the center.

Es tut mir Leid, dass die Küche noch nicht erneuert wurde. Es gab Liefer- bzw. Produktions- schwierigkeiten, die den Einbau verzögert haben.
Da mein Gärtner nicht mehr so zuverlässig gearbeitet hat, habe ich mir einen neuen gesucht, der hoffentlich zur Zufriedenheit weiterer Gäste arbeitet.

Poor condition of the holiday home

The vacation home urgently needs repair and maintenance. Older furniture is not a problem as long as it is not broken. Appliances like the oven are defective. The cleaning service is below par. Brochures from 2017. It would be best to replace everything and redesign it from scratch. Previous guest feedback was disregarded, and nothing was done. We have never had such a terrible accommodation, even though the location is beautiful.

Schade, dass Sie Probleme mit meinem Haus hatten.
Den Reinigungsservice habe ich gewechselt, da mir das Wohl meiner Gäste viel bedeutet.
Es ist auch schade, dass Sie nur alte Prospekte von 2017 erwähnen, es sind schließlich im Haus ebenfalls aktuelle ( die älteren erfüllen auch noch ihren Zweck - viele werden nicht jedes Jahr erneuert )
