Petterssons Hus is located in a quiet forest/outskirts location of Ankarsrum (municipality of Västervik). The large, fish-rich lake Långsjön (approx. 100 m), a fantastic bathing spot (300 m), as well as the town center (approx. 1 km) are in the immediate vicinity. The archipelago coast is 15 km, the city of Västervik 25 km, and the city of Vimmerby 30 km away.
The tranquil town of Ankarsrum offers every opportunity for a dreamlike and relaxing holiday. You will find numerous hiking and cycling trails here. You can swim, go canoeing or boating, fish, or explore the nearby coast with its countless skerries. You can also pick mushrooms and berries (right behind the guesthouse you will immediately find blueberries and lingonberries).
The village itself has a good infrastructure with a supermarket, a pharmacy, a post office, and restaurants. Thanks to its convenient location, you have short distances to all the spectacular places and events around the cities of Västervik (approx. 25 km) and Vimmerby (approx. 30 km) such as: Speedway events in Västervik, the Troll Forest in Gamleby, elk park in Tuna and of course the Astrid Lindgren World and above all the Astrid Lindgren Nes are highly recommended.

This domicile is especially suitable for a holiday with children, because you are right in the land of Astrid Lindgren's books!
There are many excursion possibilities, also besides the well-known AsTrid Lindgren destinations: the moose park, the narrow-gauge railway, the harbour town of Västervik...
The house itself is wonderfully situated, really fully equipped and up to date.
