The house is somewhat dated, some things need replacing. For us, no problem at all, but with a critical family, I would look a bit further.

A very spacious house with good beds, a very large garden (mostly dog-proof fenced), fully equipped kitchen with a lot of storage space. In the bedrooms downstairs, there is little closet space; the two bedrooms upstairs had more closet space. The house needs some TLC (Tender, Love and Care), which is reflected in small repairs that would upgrade the house. Ideal base for long walks and extensive bike rides, be sure to visit the Wortel colony and the Merksplas Colony (with visitor center). A car is not a luxury for grocery shopping, but within a radius of about 5 km you will find most shops with generous opening hours.

It is a great stay. We experienced 3 cool days here. Kitchenware really sufficient...pots pans plates.... Sleep and shower very good. We will definitely come back and recommend the stay to others.

Our midweek from April 13 to 17, 2026, was mainly characterized by nice weather. And then a spacious garden is very pleasant; less pleasant was that the garden chairs at the long table had not yet been cleaned and looked dirty. Buiten Huis is a large house with four bedrooms, two of which are upstairs. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The other bathroom also has a shower, and that bathroom must therefore be shared by three bedrooms. The kitchen looks tidy (unfortunately, the kitchen linen was missing); cutlery, pots, and dishes are a bit messy. The living room is in need of a makeover. The tabletop of the dining table is worn out, and the laminate floor could be nicer. The arrangement of the television is not logical, and the picture was distorted. Finally: the reservation of this accommodation cost 50 (fifty!) emails and phone calls. It took months to get things sorted out: emails with varying and therefore confusing content and phone calls with employees who were hardly understandable. Certainly not worth recommending!

The villa was fantastic. Great space, well suited for kids. Lots of space. Modern kitchen. The garden had lots of space and big trampoline i. Middle which kids loved. Its in a remote place with peace and quite. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it.

The property is cracked, the garden is very nice. The driveway is very narrow. The shower drain is a disaster. The water stays and feels like it. This definitely needs to be fixed.

We had a lovely time in Merksplas! The property is very spacious, perfect for two families to share, The garden views were lovely, and we enjoyed some great meals together at the dining table, Everything was very clean upon arrival

This holiday home exceeded our expectations! The interior was elegantly decorated, and all four bedrooms were comfortable. We appreciated the grilling facilities on the terrace during our family gathering. We will definitely return for another relaxing weekend!

We had a wonderful stay at the holiday house in Merksplas! The spacious layout was perfect for our family of six, offering plenty of room for everyone to relax. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made meal preparation a breeze. We particularly loved the terrace in the evening, perfect for barbecuing and enjoying the peaceful view of the garden. The location is serene, surrounded by greenery, and we took advantage of the nearby bike paths. A special thank you to the host for being so welcoming and attentive. We can't wait to return!

Our family had a fantastic stay in this vacation home! The spacious layout was perfect for our group of eight, and we enjoyed cooking together in the well-equipped kitchen. The terrace was a lovely place to relax in the evenings, surrounded by nature. Highly recommended for family vacations!
