The holiday apartment in Dünenschloss is ideally located near the beach. Shops, such as a bakery, supermarket, etc., can be reached in a few minutes even without a car. In the adjacent building, there is a nice swimming pool for morning laps; in the evening, there is also a fitness room available for the very athletic, equipped with two treadmills, cross trainers, and a stationary bike, as well as a strength training device. Even though the equipment is always disinfected in the morning, it would be appropriate to provide disinfectant wipes for the evening as well. It's not so nice when other guests can't clean the devices before you. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about.

We, as experienced vacation apartment users, brought along a few small items that are often missing in other apartments (e.g., coffee filter bags, wheat glass, pepper, salt, dishwasher tabs, shoehorn, etc.), but all these things are already provided. Perfect!! The location is wonderful, just a really short walk (less than 3 minutes and you're at the beach). We have this vacation apartment at the top of the list to come back again. Thank you to the landlord! The place Kühlungsborn is our favorite for a Baltic Sea vacation. We have already been to some Baltic Sea locations like Binz, Zinnowitz, Zingst, but Kühlungsborn has pleased us the most so far. Something happening every evening, like music events, cabaret, etc. Super restaurants with great food, beyond schnitzel and fries. The apartment is located on an intermediate floor above the 2nd floor. It is very nicely furnished and has two balconies with great views (one with a sea view and one with a forest view). We felt comfortable right away. The location is also great. The "Dünenschloss" is situated between East and West, and you are immediately at the sea.

We were thrilled with the attic apartment: Quiet location, 4th floor, two balconies, large living/dining room, two separate bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with a window, super functioning Wi-Fi, and a big TV. The children's room has a direct view of the Baltic Sea. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff from Meer Fun were very nice and helpful. We didn't go to the pool, but everything there also looked very appealing. To get to the beach, you just have to cross the street; it takes about 5 minutes to the bakery and about 10 minutes to the nearest supermarket. For families with small children and seniors, the steep stairs may not be easy to manage. We would come back anytime :-)

The apartment is rented as a 3-room apartment, but there is only 1 bedroom and the 2nd "bedroom" is a tiny chamber with a hard fold-out couch, where you can't even open the door properly when the couch is converted into a bed. In our opinion, this could at most be equipped with a bunk bed for 2 children. The 2 balconies are located between the roofs, very inconveniently situated. We were very positively impressed by the cleanliness and also the equipment of the kitchen.

With four adults and a dog, the stay in this apartment in the Dünnenschloss complex left nothing to be desired. The modern apartment, furnished with great attention to detail, offers tranquility despite its proximity to the Ostseeallee, plenty of light and sun, and spaciousness through the open living area. The location is perfect for spending lovely hours with the dog at the dog beach directly opposite or taking a walk east, west, or in the city forest. We will come back.

The elevator in the building is good, but the last very steep steps up to the apartment were bothersome. It is rather unsuitable for people who have problems climbing stairs.
