The vacation apartment is nicely furnished, there is a well-equipped kitchen (even a waffle maker, sandwich maker - although the waffle maker makes little sense without a mixer), a large bathroom with a shower, the beds are equipped with relatively soft mattresses (possible back pain risk) and on the terrace, there is a nice beach chair to have the beach feeling "at home" - here you can comfortably end the evening. In the neighboring house, there are a sauna, pool, and fitness room. The pool is well used and even has a counter-current system. The sauna is quite small; there isn't much going on during the summer months - it was fine for us. In another outbuilding, there is also the possibility to do laundry, but we didn't use that. The apartment comes with an assigned parking space, and the parking area is secured by barriers. The beach is just a stone's throw away (unfortunately not as fine Baltic Sea sand as hoped) with beach chair rental; the Ferris wheel is only 2 beach accesses away. There is a nice playground at the Ferris wheel. All in all, we can recommend the apartment 4-03.

Kühlungsborn is not recommended for wheelchair users. It gives the impression that they are not really welcome. Accessibility in the town is not provided.

The apartment is very well furnished, everything you need is there. The wicker chairs are rather uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi is a disaster; even with our own network in the apartment, there is no reception. The parking space is quite narrow, and we had to maneuver quite a bit. Otherwise, the location is perfect. The beach promenade is also very nice. The beach is a bit stony, and it gets deep quickly. Please be careful with small children.

A very nice child-friendly apartment for 4 people, perfect. The terrace is very large with its own beach chair. Direct beach location. 4 minutes away from playgrounds. 5 minutes on foot to Lidl and Netto.

Beautiful, quiet, functionally furnished holiday apartment, very good value for money. The beach is very easily reachable. You can't hear street noise or sounds from the other apartments. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is not usable. The websites open extremely slowly or not at all.

The apartment is well equipped and well located. What we didn't like was the shower; the bathroom floods. I think a shower wall could be installed afterward. The showerhead was also not the best; water leaked from the side. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with the apartment.

Beautiful apartment, big enough for 4 people. Nice outdoor area with a beach chair, nicely selected furnishings. Great pool and sauna, especially on rainy days, and the opening hours. Location is top, close to the sea, playground, forest, shopping options, bike rental, price-performance ratio definitely fitting.

Handing over the keys was uncomplicated and the reception was very warm. Location of the apartment is top-notch, just across the street and already at the sea.

It was another wonderfully relaxing vacation at the Dunes Castle. The apartment is great. It is lovingly furnished, and everything one needs is available. We also find the free use of the sauna in the building very positive. We will definitely come back. The staff at Sea and Fun are very friendly and accommodating.

It is a very nice holiday apartment, quietly located and not far from the beach. There is a bakery right at the entrance to the holiday complex. The small indoor pool and the 2 saunas are an additional plus. The holiday apartment is highly recommended.

After 2019, we went on vacation in Kühlungsborn again in 2020. Same accommodation Dünnenschloss (Meerfun), but this time we had a different holiday apartment. Again, everything was great. Beautiful apartment with a wonderful terrace. We had a lovely vacation. Thank you very much.

A vacation in Dünenschloss is highly recommended, solely due to its excellent location in close proximity to the beach promenade. The apartment has a large, very well-equipped, disabled-friendly bathroom and a relatively large terrace. You can make yourself comfortable in the beach chair there, although it can be seen from several other apartments in the complex. The parking lot behind the houses is also great. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it is insufficiently signposted, so that you have to search for your space for a while if you are unlucky like us and the parking lot is quite hidden. The equipment of the apartment is fine and completely sufficient. What bothered me is that for this rather expensive apartment, the bed linen and towels should cost an extra 25 € per person :o( and that you had to pick up and return the keys at the office 3 km away.
