Casa do Teatro - Child-friendly, separate holiday home in a private complex with a total of 4 separate holiday homes, suitable for couples and small families.
Casa do Theatro is a colorful and cozy house and well suited for 2 adults with a small child.
It is surrounded by shady bushes and trees and has an outdoor shower in the garden for refreshment.
It has a separate bedroom with air conditioning, a double bed with mosquito net, and a wardrobe. There is another double bed in the colorful living area with air conditioning as well as a sofa for relaxing.
All beds have mosquito protection and extra fans.
There is a separate washroom with WC and bidet and a separate blue-turquoise 'Moroccan shower room'.
Mosquito protection on the doors ensures air circulation in the house. A terrace with sun loungers adjoins the house, directly adjacent to which is the separate kitchen house in turquoise colors, along with a barbecue area. One of the dining tables is located under a pine tree.
Here you spend your life in nature, enjoy the peace and freedom, and listen to the frogs.
You are warmly welcome. Our estate, the: Quinta da Arte, as the name of our little paradise, is a country estate on 12 ha of land with four separate, privately situated, individual holiday houses, each of which is unique and located in the midst of a naturally grown park with art objects, surrounded by private gardens.
The estate has a swimming pool, an open-air theater with 120 seats, a dance studio, a boules court, and walking paths across the grounds. Children are little adventurers here and adults love the peace, the nature, and our beautiful surroundings. Please also ask me about our two other houses:

In the upper and most private part of our beautiful grounds lies the colorful and cozy Rock House: Casa das Rochas with its integrated rocky landscape (Rochas means rocks in Portuguese) and thus gave the house its name. Each house has its own private garden with terraces and sun loungers, completely embedded in nature.
In the middle part of the property stands the main house with an adjoining dance hall, which can be rented upon request.
In the lower part of the property is the spacious, all-white studio with integrated art objects and a wonderful view of the garden.
It is very suitable for 2 people, but also for 2 adults with two small children. In this house, guests especially appreciate the spaciousness, the brightness, and the sense of freedom and openness that is conveyed to them here.

Guests love the art objects with which they live and which inspire them.
Two large, openable studio doors with fluttering white cloths lead the guest over a wide outdoor staircase into the garden area with sun loungers and the grill and dining area. Gazing into nature and sitting on the so-called Portuguese steps in the evening is one of the beautiful evening experiences to be enjoyed here.
Another holiday home is the artistic "Pavilhao da Arte", suitable for
2-3 people or 2 adults with 2 small children.
With its beautiful bathroom done entirely in blue tones, it entices with its large shower-bathtub. The house impresses our guests with its layout and size, with the many color views, and above all with its wonderful, large outdoor bed with mosquito netting, in which entire families have already spent their summer nights and marveled at the night sky full of stars.
The kitchen, as in our other house, is housed in a separate kitchen building and is located in the back part of the garden right next to the dining and barbecue area.

Living in the Middle of Nature
Our estate Quinta da Arte is located in Sotavento, the southeast-facing coast of the Algarve, a coastal landscape with miles of sandy beaches and untouched bird and fish life. Here, small fishing boats cross the waterways of the tamed Atlantic.
Our property itself is nestled in a vast natural landscape, surrounded by plantations of carob, olive, almond, and orange trees.
Encircled by a slightly hilly range of hills, the approximately 8 km away sparkling blue ocean shimmers in the distance. The sea, 9 km away, with its vast beautiful beaches on the horizon.
Once our guests arrive, they are often amazed by the accommodations which appear even larger or prettier than what they had seen and expected from the photos.
The holiday homes are often booked by families or several families who are friends, who then spend their vacations side by side in the houses.

Casa do Teatro is surrounded by trees and shrubbery and is located in the middle of nature with an integrated outdoor shower for refreshing.
The colorful house has a separate bedroom with a double bed with mosquito protection and air conditioning.
Adjacent in the living area, there is another double bed, a sofa, and the entrances to the toilet room with a bidet, and the "Moroccan" shower room. Curtains at the windows and door fronts for the evenings as well as mosquito protection in front of the doors.
Right next to it is the kitchen house designed in blue tones with everything the guest needs for cooking.
Right next to it there is a barbecue area.
There are various dining areas inside and outside the kitchen as well as a sun terrace with sun loungers and shade cloths.
People who come to us love the originality of the accommodations and especially the 'ability to live outside'. They love to come to rest undisturbed, to distance themselves from their everyday life in order to gradually immerse themselves in the Portuguese rhythm of the people, the sea, the food, and life.
Children who visit us often get to know our large grounds through playing and exploring, as they can move freely and undisturbed.
And of course, the pool is one of your favorite places where you would probably love to spend the whole day... if it weren't for so many other beautiful things to discover. . . .
like the great, soft sea with all its shells and little water ripples, the fiddler crabs accompanying you on the way to the sea. . and much more.
Also read our many great reviews on platforms like fewo or TripAdvisor or my website, because I have only been advertising here for a few weeks, but I have already asked former guests for a review. The nearest small Portuguese village (2.5 km) is called Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, a lively place with a variety of nationalities, a café along with a bakery, a small supermarket, and restaurants. From our location, you can quickly reach the sea with its vast, amazing beaches, the next wonderful markets such as in Olhao or Loule with their old alleys and historic buildings, galleries, museums, and much more. I will gladly tell you about the insider tips on-site, explain the way to our mountain pub at Donna Maria's or to Joao, who serves the best fish in town.

What does vacation mean for oneself?

As an opening quote, perhaps it is close to what has happened to me in this place!
A magical little spot near Tavira, easily accessible, a car is recommended from Faro!
At the same time, one later immerses oneself in a picture book of landscape and art with a quaint little house and the warm welcome from Heidi Wachsmuth and Maxi the farm dog! Whoever wants to break free from the stressful everyday life in nature, under perfectly clean conditions and a mix of Portuguese landscape and architectural lightness, is exactly right here!
One must enjoy this piece of earth, let it take effect, feel the energy, the slightly warm Portuguese wind on the skin, and simply switch off... In the vicinity, easily accessible by car, there is everything one needs, from nearby markets to a large supermarket, as well as small picturesque coastal towns to stop by, everything is available!
The nature, from lagoons to waterfalls and great beaches, should also receive attention and not be overlooked!
At the same time, with its residence in the mountains, one has a retreat where one can completely forget everything around them... I wholeheartedly recommend the Quinta da Art and simply say thank you for everything; one could write so much more!

Happy stay at the Casa de Teatro, Quinta de Arte.
This first week of September 25, my partner and I stayed at Quinta de Arte.
It was my 4th stay there, always in the casa de Teatro!
Each stay is unique in this particular and endearing place...
Heidi and Johannes are attentive hosts, both discreet and listening.
The landscape is unique, by car the sea and the city of Tavira are accessible in 15 minutes. The Algarve region, towns and villages, its beaches and cultural points of interest are waiting to be discovered.
The Portuguese have welcomed us very well.
On site, access to the pool is pleasant.
We will return with shared pleasure!

A pearl!
Quinta da Arte is a gem! Expect no golden faucets, but the luxury of nature, creativity, a beautiful swimming pool, a fully equipped kitchen, excellent beds, and a stunning view. Heidi is a fantastic host. It is immensely admirable how she and her husband have managed to set up this place so beautifully. We enjoyed this place as a change from many campsites. Tip: The waterfall nearby, the streets and squares of Tavira, Amona Island, and the old town of Faro with the Old Tavern as a wonderful place to eat.

Unforgettable vacation in a small paradise
My daughter (17 years old) and I spontaneously decided to take a week off and stumbled upon this gem while booking. The lovingly designed surroundings, with the unique apartment featuring an outdoor kitchen, terraces, and pool, allowed us to relax from the very first moment and experience a perfect vacation feeling. The open and friendly hosts rounded off the wonderful holiday. I haven't felt so well taken care of on vacation in a long time. Thank you for this unforgettable week and we will come back.

I have been living in this beautiful place in the eastern Algarve for over 30 years now, which my husband, a versatile artist, has created with a lot of passion and creativity The almond blossom in spring, the beautiful sea on the doorstep in summer, hiking in autumn. Shopping takes place in the lively, diverse nearby markets, for example in Tavira and Olhao, and in autumn I enjoy the peace and quiet that returns to the Algarve, the soft light that settles over the lagoon and everything seems to stand still for a moment. And not forgetting the friendly, unobtrusive and very helpful Portuguese people.
