Description
Casa Monte Cabeça is a luxurious holiday home in the style of a traditional Algarve country house. With a fine sense, the Portuguese architectural style has been reconciled with the current requirements for a house in the south of Europe by processing well-tried materials. Tasteful furniture, colorful fabrics and selected accessories create lovely accents inside.
The piece of jewelery with its m² of land is located in a rural area with many small fruit and vegetable plantations, only a few kilometers from the lively town of Moncarapacho. Casa Monte Cabeça sits on a slight hilltop and offers a fantastic 360 ° panoramic view, which can be enjoyed in particular from the huge roof terrace. To the north dominates a wide valley at the end of which the first hills of the Serra rise. Toward the south, the view sweeps over the evergreen coastal region and on the horizon, the wide Atlantic Ocean seduces seductively. In between is the nature reserve of the Ria Formosa, a large lagoon in which rare flora and fauna are native. The offshore islands with their beautiful sandy beaches can be reached from the house in only 7-9 kilometers. From Fuseta there are regular ferries to the island during the summer months. Behind Luz de Tavira, Barril beach can be reached all year round via a swimming bridge on foot or by a small train.
The very spacious country house offers its guests a lot of comfort inside. The three bedrooms each have a large queen size bed, wall cabinets and standing fans. Each of the rooms offers direct access to one of the many terraces. From all rooms of the house you can also enjoy the view of the lush greenery. Wooden shutters on all windows provide a comfortable room temperature in the summer so that the well-insulated house does not require air conditioning. Two tastefully tiled bathrooms are at guests' disposal, one of them en suite in the master bedroom.
The large hallway leads to the living area, which is divided into a kitchen and a living room. The two rooms can be separated by a sliding glass door from each other. The well-equipped kitchen offers enough space and comfort to supply a family of 6. A dining table is in the kitchen, another in the living room. The living room boasts a high, reed-decorated ceiling and large windows aligned in three directions. From the comfortable leather couch you can either direct the view into the romantically flaming stove, out into the magnificent garden or on the big screen of the TV.
Around the house are all-round, tiled and partly covered terraces on which sun or shade can be found at any time of the day. They are lined with fragrant herbs, flowering bushes, palms and bananas. In between you can see the Atlantic glittering. Past the refreshing outdoor shower, paths lead over the large property with its typical trees. Thanks to the idyllically quiet location of the house, this is the ideal place to draw strength and to recover from the stresses of everyday life.

Casa Monte Cabeça is located on a hill on the border between the districts of Olhão and Tavira. Both cities can be reached by car in 15 minutes. There are also shops and restaurants in the only 5 minutes away Ortem Moncarapacho and Fuseta. From Fuseta, the ferry also goes to the Atlantic Islands.

Very nice and comfortable house in the green
We felt very comfortable in this holiday home from the very first moment. The house is in a quiet location and the nearby town of Fuseta or Moncarapacho could be reached quickly in a few minutes by car. It is surrounded by green hills.
The house was equipped with everything you are used to at home. The landlord couple Röver were very helpful and nice. We will be happy to come back.

Super house to feel good and relax in the middle of nature with a view of the sea.
We spent four wonderful weeks at Casa Monte Cabeza with our Hovawart dog and both humans and animals enjoyed it to the fullest. The house on the hill impresses with its spaciousness and the all-round terrace, which you can enter through every room. There is always a sunny and a shady spot to be found. We didn't use the huge roof terrace that much in November, but it is certainly a huge asset in summer. Inside and outside the property, as well as on the beach, we could go for walks with our dog. We fell in love with the nearby fishing village of Fuseta, the various praias and the small town of Moncarapacho, so we will be back!!!!

Herbst auf der Casa Monte Cabeça - uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert
Wir haben uns kurzfristig zu einem Urlaub im Herbst 2021 an der Algarve entschlossen und die Casa Monte Cabeça gebucht.
Die Casa Monte Cabeça thront auf einem Hügel und erlaubt durch die Dachterrasse einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Küste und das Hinterland. Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Bei unserer Anreise wurden wir von Jens Röver in Empfang genommen und mit allen relevanten Informationen versorgt.
Die Algarve verwöhnte uns mit angenehmen Temperaturen, menschenleere Stränden und der gewohnten portugiesischen Gastfreundschaft.
Fazit: Die Unterkunft ist uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert! Gleiches gilt für die herbstliche Algarve!

360 Gradblick von der schönen Dachterasse

Recommended house
A very beautiful accommodation in a hilly, agricultural region - orange, lemon/lime, almond and olive trees. The property is maintained over 17,000 square metres. Rooms are very spacious, access to one of the terraces is possible from every room, large roof terrace over almost the entire house. Unfortunately, the agricultural machinery is clearly audible during the day. The only thing we missed was a pool, as we did not want to walk to the beach every day. The existing outdoor shower with the alternative cold and warm! Shower compensated a lot. We will gladly come back!

Traumhaft!
Wir haben als Familie (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) neun wunderbare Tage im Casa Monte Cabeca verlebt und können/wollen uns den bereits abgegebenen lobenden Bewertungen einfach nur anschließen. Lage, Ausstattung, Sauberkeit, Garten, Betreuung - alles ohne Fehl und Tadel. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder.

Großzügiges Anwesen in ruhiger Lage
Wir hatten zum Jahreswechsel 2019/2020 eine wunderbare Zeit im Casa Monte Cabeca. Das Haus besticht durch die Großzügigkeit des Anwesens, die Ruhe, eine üppige Vegetation und die vielen Terrassen.
Gerne buchen wir das Haus wieder.

A dream on the mountain
The house is beautiful, generously built, well equipped and maintained. The care was excellent. The exhilarating view of the sea and the mountains is wonderful. The property is very large and overgrown with almond and olive trees, among others. The proximity to the Wadden Sea, the islands, the sea, Fuseta and Moncarapacho gives the property a prime location.
We will be back.

Fünf Sterne und Gott sei Dank kein Hotel
Sie liegen nun einmal etwas abseits der Hauptstraße - diese schönen, malerischen Herbergen. Mittlerweile lassen uns Wegbeschreibungen erahnen, was uns erwartet. Zu unserem diesjährigen Urlaubsdomizil heißt es: ...eine unbefestigte Straße zweigt nach rechts ab... Und dann sind wir in unserem Traumhaus gelandet, in dem wir uns (vier Erwachsene) rundum wohlfühlen. Die Casa liegt landschaftlich toll, gleichzeitig sind Strände und die sehenswerten Orte gut erreichbar. Nach Moncarapacho, wo man sich ausreichend versorgen kann, ist es ein Katzensprung. Dass dieses Kleinod auch in einem deutschen Krimi eine Rolle spielt, versteht man spätestens bei einem Kaffee unter dem Kirchturm!

Ein Haus zum Sein mit grandiosem Panorama
Die Casa Monte Cabeça ist ein Ort zum Sein. Das Haus ist sehr grosszügig und für bis zu sechs Personen ideal. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll, die Bäder in tadellosem Zustand. Das Anwesen wurde kürzlich innen und aussen komplett renoviert. Es gibt einen Backofen, eine Mikrowelle, einen Tiefkühlschrank und eine Waschmaschine/Trockner. Es gibt ausreichend Geschirr, Gläser, Kochtöpfe, Toaster, Entsafter, eigentlich alles, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Ringsum gibt es Sitzplätze und für jede Tageszeit und Temperatur ist das Passende dabei. Die Dachterrasse bietet einen Rundumblick von der Serra bis zum Meer und es können wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge erlebt werden. Für kalte Abende gibt es einen Kamin, der sehr schnell warm macht, allerdings ist er mit seinem Gebläse ziemlich laut. Bei einem Aufenthalt in den Wintermonaten muss man sich bewusst sein, dass die Fenster und Türen nicht abgedichtet sind und es kalt hereinzieht. Es gibt aber in jedem Raum eine elektrische Heizung. Es lässt sich dann nicht vermeiden, dass man viel Strom braucht. Das Anwesen liegt einsam auf einem Hügel. Der nächste Supermarkt ist aber in Moncarapacho schnell erreicht, dort gibt es auch einen Bäcker. Die Fahrt nach Fuseta ans Meer dauert 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Die Autobahn ist in 10 Minuten erreicht, dann kann man z.B. in etwas mehr als einer Stunde die touristischen Ziele an der Felsalgarve besuchen. Die Verwalter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und geben auch Tipps und Ratschläge für einen schönen Urlaub an der Algarve. Um hier seine Ferien zu verbringen, braucht man auf alle Fälle einen Mietwagen. Wir würden die Casa Monte Cabeça wieder buchen. Die Lage, das Panorama und die Grosszügigkeit des Anwesens haben uns gefallen.

Casa Monte Cabeca
Great house in a country setting with splendid 360° view from the rooftop terrace. Be awaken in the morning by the scents of orange blossoms from nearby orchards. Away from the crowds (you will need a car) but still close enough to everything. Great food store nearby in Moncarapacho. Fish markets in Tavira and Olhão. We specially enjoyed the miles of sandy beaches in Santa Luzia or take a 20 min. ferry ride to Ilha da Culatra from Olhão, well worth the trip. Great dining experience at Restaurant Lagar da Mesquita but we found a Pasteleria in Tavira that serves delicious daily lunch specials for just 5€. Hosts Jens and Heïdi were very helpful just a click away but very respectful of our privacy. Overall we had a great vacation in East Algarve. Tks!

For the second time and again PERFECT
This year we stayed at Casa Monte Cabeca again for almost 2 weeks and enjoyed it very much. For us, the house leaves nothing to be desired, everything is pico-bello clean. There is always a spot in the shade where you can lie down comfortably, read a book or just do nothing at all. The garden with fig, hibiscus, bougainvillea, oleander, olives, etc. is wonderful and the property is so big that you are completely unobserved. Our highlight is the terrace, where you can sit down in the evening with a good glass of wine and admire the starry sky or the distant lights
A car is essential and it's a great way to get to the great beach, Tavira, Olhao, Fuseta, Loulé, etc. In Santa Luzia you can eat excellent octopus or anything else.

Pure relaxation
We, in this case a family of six with dog, spent our summer holiday at Casa Monte Cabeca for the second time and were thrilled again. For us it is pure relaxation. A dream house, very clean and cosy, with wonderful views from the great terraces. In addition, the Röver family provided excellent support from the beginning of the booking. Many places and the most beautiful beaches can be easily reached by car. Due to the central location, you can also get to the quiet hinterland quite quickly for hiking. We will definitely come back for a third time!
