You can reach the centre of the village and the harbour in just a few minutes on foot. Here you will find a large Edeka market, pharmacy, bakeries, banks, doctors, a large selection of restaurants, garden and ice cream parlours as well as many small shops that invite you to stroll around. The health oasis with sauna, small swimming pool and much more.

Transport connections: Railway station ''Norden'' in 17 km. Norddeich in 20 km. Wilhelmshaven in 85 km. By air: Bremen airport (BRE) in 148 km.

Greetsiel - North Sea East Frisia

The picturesque fishing village was once (1464-1744) the ancestral seat of the Cirksena. Greetsiel has been documented as a harbour town since 1388. With its two windmills and the cutter harbour in the middle of the village, Greetsiel is considered the most beautiful fishing village in Germany. The carefully restored, historic gabled houses from the 17th century, the old piers and the picturesque alleys form a fantastic backdrop for the largest coastal fishing fleet in East Frisia. The historic church, in the middle of the village, was built in two sections in 1380 and 1410. Its immediate, tangible ringing of bells never fails to impress locals and visitors alike. The people of Greetsiel are hospitable and cosmopolitan East Frisians who care for and preserve their home village with dedication.
