Description
Our holiday home is located on the beautiful Lower Rhine in Wesel-Ginderich, between the Hanseatic city of Wesel and the Roman city of Xanten near the Rhine. From here, the surrounding area with its numerous cycle paths invites you to explore. Whether it's the Archaeological Park (Unesco World Heritage Site) in Xanten, water skiing on the Xanten North and South Lakes or watching various species of birds and water buffalo in the Bislicher Insel nature reserve
There is much to experience here.
The Ruhr area with its sights is also easy to reach by car, such as the Duisburg Landscape Park, Zeche Zollverein etc.
There is an indoor ski slope in Bottrop, as well as the Warner Brother Movie Park Germany amusement park.
We have lovingly renovated and modernised the over 100-year-old house ourselves, as you can see in the photos. The house has a small fenced garden with terrace. There you can enjoy the sun or end the day with a glass of wine.
There is a small garden shed for bicycles.
On the ground floor of the house there is a large open living-kitchen-dining area, a fireplace room with desk, a bedroom with two single beds (90x200cm) and a bathroom
On the upper floor is the large bedroom with double bed (180x200cm) and a walk-in wardrobe.
Cot and high chair are available.

Living room = TV with satellite receiver, WLAN
Kitchen = fridge, ceramic hob/oven, microwave, toaster, hand mixer and coffee machine
Bathroom = walk-in shower, WC, washing machine and hairdryer
In the village there is an Edeka market for daily needs and a bakery where you can also have breakfast. These are within 5 minutes walking distance. Around the corner from the house is a vending machine with meat from water buffalo and you can get fresh eggs there. A farm shop is planned
For shopping trips, the Ruhr area is 30 minutes away by car. For example, the Westfield Centro in Oberhausen.
Smoking is not allowed in our holiday home
Party events are not allowed in our holiday home.

Beautiful weekend!
A holiday home like you would wish for anywhere. Super beautifully furnished and everything you need. The dog was also taken care of, which we found particularly sweet. Since it was my birthday that day, we even got a little present. Unfortunately it was only a short stay, but it was unforgettable. We recommend it 100% and will be happy to come back for a longer stay. Thank you very much.

Geheimtipp
Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gross und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles da was man braucht. Bäcker und Einkaufsmöglichkeit sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Perfect accommodation
We stayed with our two German Shepherds over Christmas in the very lovingly furnished holiday home. The accommodation was very clean and as a surprise there was a decorated Christmas tree in the living room! Thank you again for that, we were very happy and immediately felt at home. The garden is very small, but this was visible in the pictures and in summer you can certainly sit there nicely.
The landlords, who live next door, were always available and very helpful. It was a lovely week, despite the bad weather!

A relaxing holiday
We immediately felt very comfortable in the flat. Everything is lovingly decorated and there was even a little something for our dog.
The flat has everything you need and even more!
The central location makes it easy to explore the surrounding area either by car or by bike.
Highly recommended!

Clean and cosy flat with nice hosts
We just spent 10 days in the Hovestadt family's neighbouring cottage and came home completely satisfied. The Hovestadt family are very friendly and always helpful hosts who take care of everything. The flat is very nicely and comfortably furnished, you have everything you need. There is also a small workplace with sufficient Wi-Fi if you have to do a bit of home office work, as I do. It is in the middle of the village, but in a quiet location. There is also a well-stocked Edeka market within walking distance. If you like to spend your holidays by bike, this is the place to be. From here, you can go on many bike tours in the surrounding area

An exceptionally good holiday home even with a dog?
We were guests for 4 days in the great big holiday flat with our dog Alfons.very nice landlords nothing was missing (which we have also experienced differently)we quickly felt comfortable.from here we could reach all the sights in no time.we will definitely come again. Many thanks again.
