We spent 2 beautiful holiday weeks in September / October 2010 in Andalusia. The house on the hill in a secluded location it had a large share. There we relaxed after our excursions to Granada, Cordoba and Ronda or use the beautiful summer days at the pool. Also, the hike in the nature reserve EL Torcal was erreichen.Ab to the cottage well and we were wrapped in the morning mist. But then tore open the curtain, and again we had a great view. If the wind would get angry again, there were three pages of the remodeled patio, great.

We are the end of April, beginning of May two weeks in El Hortelano been. The high altitude was there at this time of the year quite cold. About 10 degrees colder and coast in Malaga.Fantastisch view and "morning until" evening the possibility in the garden in the sun. Lots of space around the house and quiet after a day out to have been. The owners speak only Spanish, but we have not experienced as a problem. They are very friendly and welcoming. The house is tastefully and comfortably furnished. For us no negatives. A must if you love peace and quiet and yet central Andalusia want to sit.

A beautiful location with stunning views. Very quiet. Because the house is high, the temperature is fine. The house is furnished with great attention to detail, including a lovely outdoor seating. The pool is nice, but not too warm.Mooie outdoor location for food and barbeque. Small downside: the bed was very hard.

Smooth welcoming without beslommeringen.Alles well stocked. Beautiful surroundings and ideal base for major cities! Difficult to find anything on it! And fun swimming or rest if you want to spot glad veni. Two restaurants around the corner!

Beautiful Location, breathtaking views. House was well furnished and comfortable, with one or two appliance type (coffee maker/washing machine) exceptions. Enjoyed the silence. Kids loved the freedom to run around and the pool was well used even though it was November. Access to the house is by a steep dirt track for the last Km, only drivers used to hairpin bends should apply!!! Local village, La Hoya, 1 km directly below,is sleepy, need to go to Antequera for groceries etc.. Lots of Vente's in the area, each one better than the rest. Kids loved the local Wolf park, "Los Lobos", 8Km & Donkey Sanctuary, 40 Km. Antequera is charming town with real, friendly people. Location is good for visiting the beach, (1 Hr.), or day trips to Ronda or Granada. Overall we loved it!!!

The property is beautifully situated high above La Joya. The surrounding area is beautiful and rich in nature with beautiful views. The key address in a cafe-restaurant in La Joya was closed at the agreed time. The keyholder, who only speaks Spanish, was quickly on the spot and we followed her to the house. The house with swimming pool and large lawn is tastefully decorated with an eye for detail. The TV does not have a satellite receiver, as stated in the description, but a normal antenna with only Spanish TV and radio channels. The WiFi signal is often weak but satisfactory. The kitchen is fine, with oven, ceramic hobs, microwave and large fridge freezer. In La Joya is a well hidden shop, without further indication located in a house and two bakers that are usually closed. For groceries we went to the gigantic Carrefour in Antequera, 17 km away. You can eat out 400 m away at the hotel Puente del Sol. On paper the menu looks good with refined dishes, in practice that refinement was a bit disappointing. We had 11 wonderful days in Andalusia, the house is a must for those seeking tranquility.

This is a wonderful place for anyone who loves peace and privacy. The house is beautiful, the view extends even to the sea at Malaga (as 'a hundred miles away). The house is fully equipped with nice bedrooms and a spacious kitchen. The lighting inside is unfortunately quite overpowering, which makes the atmosphere a little less fun if you spend the evenings at home (which is often the case in April, as it 's pretty cool at night at this altitude). All in all a must!

Local village, La Hoya, 1 km directly below,is sleepy, need to go to Antequera for groceries etc.. Lots of Vente's in the area, each one better than the rest. Kids loved the local Wolf park, "Los Lobos", 8Km & Donkey Sanctuary, 40 Km.
Antequera is charming town with real, friendly people.
Location is good for visiting the beach, (1 Hr.), or day trips to Ronda or Granada.
Overall we loved it!!!

This house is a dream to the position, but due to the height at which it is located, the evening itself out in late May or very cold and windy. Warm clothing should therefore not forget in any case. But you've a wonderful view of the valley and the countryside south of Andalusia. The house is far from any beaten path and it is very quiet, but it offers due to its central location in the triangle of Seville, Granada, Malaga, an excellent starting point for trips to the three cities mentioned and to Ronda, Cordoba, Marbella, etc. The interior of the house is cozy and Spanish-style, so that you are always aware of is where you are.

Pretty comfortable house with a unique view. Due to the higher position always wind, which is nice considering the temperature in Andalusia. Always the possibility in or out of the sun. House well equipped and excellent bedding. For shopping or always 15 km drive to Antequera. Owners very friendly but only speak Spanish. Also perfectly located as a base for touring. Within 1.5 - 2 hours, all major cities of Andalusia are accessible.

Fantastic place to completely unwind. We were 2 children 10-13 and also they have been well entertained. It was very hot, but the high position nevertheless always a breeze and plenty of shade and a lovely swimming pool which is not a saltwater pool is just chlorine. Owners very vriendelik, indeed speak no english, not a problem, have a son who speaks a little english. To collect key vd agreed at restaurant Hortelano La Joya (where you can eat delicious and very affordable) and from there, the owner drove us (about 5 min) In village 2 bakeries and small herb kidney. Skip to Antequera for a supermarket. Lobopark (wolves) a 15 min drive is very nice, walk in El Torcal is a must. Sierra Nevada Pico Veleta 1.5 drive. Owners came after 1 week bed linen change and cleaning pool again. Also came with a basket of vegetables from the garden, bottle of wine, bottle of olive oil as welcome. We will definitely go back.

It is a lovely house where you can find peace and quiet. The TomTom was getting the key no problem, center La Joya and you stop almost in front of the restaurant. The pool is a welcome refreshment on hot days. You have to have a car otherwise you will not get anywhere. In the village itself is not much to do. The owners are very friendly and helpful even though we are not seen or spoken to have after replacing bulbs

After quite a search for the key holder, we were taken to the holiday spot by a friendly lady and her son. It has been found that GPS coordinates are of great importance to be able to find this independently. The son spoke a little English, so communication gave no problem. The view of the location exceeded our expectations. Surrounding views of the mountains and villages. At high temperatures, it is nice that it is slightly less warm at this altitude. Besides the beautiful pool cooling spent. The house was clean, fully equipped and the beds were fine. The village of La Joya is about 5 minutes by car, 20 minutes Antequera. After a week, the house was cleaned and we had fresh eggs, cherries and olijflie of the owner. All in all a nice home in a nice location with very vriendelijke.eigenaren.
