Welcome to our Frisian cottage in Seeth / North Frisia
The historic thatched-roof house stands alone, framed by a large garden with a terrace and surrounded by old trees, quietly located on the outskirts of the village.
On the ground floor, the house features a spacious living-dining area with a wood-burning stove and sofa corner, a modern, fully equipped kitchen with an additional dining area, and a modern bathroom with shower/toilet and washing machine/dryer. Upstairs there are two spacious bedrooms and another bathroom with shower/WC. In the first bedroom there is a large double bed and a baby bed, in the second bedroom there is also a large double bed (consisting of two joined single beds, which can be separated if desired) and an optional sofa bed.
A patio door leads from the living room directly into the garden; the sunny seating area is sheltered from the wind by landscaped hedges. For children, we have prepared a playhouse with a swing, slide, and sandbox on the spacious play lawn.
Parking spaces are available on the property, and there is also a lockable bicycle shed for your own bikes.
A free Wi-Fi connection and a smart TV in the living room are at your disposal.

Location and surroundings of object
Seeth is located in the Stapelholm landscape, which is framed by the rivers Eider, Treene and Sorge. Seeth is an ideal starting point for all kinds of leisure activities and a paradise for nature lovers, anglers, water sports enthusiasts, cyclists, hikers and much more. If you are looking for relaxation and tranquillity, you will get your money's worth here.
Surroundings and excursions
The Dutch town of Friedrichstadt is only 4 kilometres away. It is one of five town monuments in Schleswig-Holstein. Friedrichstadt is an urban gem and a must for every visitor to Schleswig-Holstein. Whether small or large, only those who have travelled by boat through the canals get an impression of "Little Amsterdam"
About 20 km away are Husum and Tönning, harbour towns with a special flair, lots of history, lively weekly markets and good gastronomy.
The North Sea with its peninsulas (Eiderstedt, Nordstrand) and the Halligen is also directly in the neighbourhood and the Wadden Sea National Park includes the entire coastal area here. (Information on the National Park is available at the Multimar Wattforum in Tönning). To the north, the Danish border is about 70 km away, and excursions to the Römö peninsula and the old Lögumkloster monastery near Tönder are well worthwhile.
Towards the Baltic Sea, Schleswig, the old ducal town with the interesting collections of Gottdorf Castle, is only 35 km away. The Baltic Sea with picturesque Kappeln and Arnis at the mouth of the Schleim estuary about 80 km.
The very well developed network of cycle paths is ideal for bicycle tours (also in connection with the train from Friedrichstadt).

Vacation in Seeth
The house is located very nicely and quietly. It is super equipped, very clean. All excursion destinations are quickly reachable. All in all, highly recommended.

Simply beautiful
We really enjoyed our vacation. The Friesenkate is exactly what we had imagined. The house is equipped with all the amenities that make household life easier. The decor fits exactly with what we had envisioned. Not everything is ultra-modern, but it is clean, cozy, and fitting ? ? ? (besides, you can see in advance from the pictures what you want to book and whether it suits you ?). One has heavenly peace all around, and we have wonderful and kind landlords here who try with heart to make everything possible (for us, it was a request for an earlier arrival).
We also found games and writing utensils, which is not always a given. There is also enough informational material for nice excursions available. All information about the house, contact details of the caretaker and landlords have been communicated in advance, in case there are any problems. Thus, one feels completely secure as a tenant when one needs a contact person.
The garden is beautifully maintained and invites you to linger thanks to a terrace with a view of the greenery.
All shopping options are within 5 km in Friedrichstadt, and one could even go shopping on Sundays (for those who need it; because Aldi, Lidl, etc. are actually open). So everything for a great relaxing vacation is available, and we have found our regular vacation destination here and are already looking forward to the next vacation.

A magnificent vacation home
We enjoyed a wonderful vacation with our two dogs in the Frisian cottage. It was our first time staying in a thatched roof house, and the charm of the house enchanted us from the very first moment. A heartfelt thanks to the hosts; everything was taken care of, and we were able to simply arrive and enjoy. We would love to return here.
