Description

Our holiday apartment "ANTJE-Beach Appartement43" is located at the edge of Callantsoog directly opposite the beach entrance, only about 150 m from the beach and just a few hundred meters from the village center with shops and restaurants. In the village, there are also bicycle rental services (bicycles, hand carts, bicycle seats, etc.). Each apartment has its own parking space (barrier) and at the back of the building there is a playground for children, a giant trampoline, as well as a covered storage facility (not lockable) for bicycles.
Washing machine and dryer (for a fee) for communal use are located in the common room. An elevator takes you from the entrance to our apartment on the 2nd floor.
In the summer months, we have a beach hut including 2 sun loungers, which stores beach gear, etc. can be stored and one can change clothes protected from view.
In the hallway, you will also find 2 beach chairs, which you are asked to return there at the end of your vacation.

Layout:
ANTJE is located on the second floor, south side with an open south-facing balcony.
Due to the sloping roof, it has a ceiling height of up to 3.80m.
It is bright, friendly, and tastefully furnished. The kitchen and the bathroom were renovated in 2017, and the floor was completely renewed in 2025. The open kitchen is equipped with electric hot plates, a mini oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, blender, etc., and the dining area opens into the living room with a cozy corner sofa, flat-screen cable TV, and stereo system.
There are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed in different sizes and degrees of firmness - something for everyone!
The bathroom is equipped with a shower, 1 washbasin, and a toilet. From the south balcony, you have a beautiful view of the village and the dune.
The balcony is equipped with 1 table, 4 chairs, and 1 sun umbrella. Cushions for the chairs can be found in the living room table.
As a small extra, you will also find 2 yoga mats/fitness mats (dresser, left bedroom).
For our four-legged guests, there is a separate coat rack, bowls, and poop bags. We refrain from providing dog beds for hygienic reasons. For small children, we have a travel cot (without bedding) and a high chair.

Callantsoog is a former fishing village and one of the few resorts in the province of North Holland, which lie directly on the sea.

The center exudes atmosphere with its shops, restaurants and cafes, sociable 'terraces. For the sports enthusiasts there are numerous possibilities: swimming, fishing, horseback riding, tennis, squash, cycling and hiking.

In close to the village, a large part of the dunes is part of the nature reserve "The Swan". This consists of dunes, swamps, lakes and woods about 550 hectare nature reserve is home to the largest colony of spoonbills in Europe along with herons, silver and Sturmmöven.

The dune belt in the center, however, is narrow and you're instantly on the beach. The beach stretches for kilometers in both directions. On the outskirts of the beautiful Callantsoog Zijpener polder landscape begins with typical northern Dutch farmhouses, windmills, and the best fishing spots.

The harbor town of Den Helder is about 15 km away - there is the famous Marine Museum.
The historic city of Alkmaar, with its lovely shops and the famous cheese market, can be reached by train from the center of Amsterdam in about 40 minutes.

Super beautiful break?

Too bad, we would have liked to stay longer. It was super beautiful and relaxing, and we felt so comfortable. The bike tours through the dunes are simply gorgeous, and the tulip bloom in mid/end of April is dreamy..... The holiday apartment is well equipped and very nicely furnished. Thank you very much! We would love to come back.

A great time over New Year's Eve

We can truly recommend the Beach Apartment Antje from the heart. Even in winter, a great accommodation: enough space for four: playing at the table, sitting comfortably on the sofa, and in between always going to the beach or into town without having to use the car. We felt very welcome and would love to come back.

Great location, great apartment.

A beautifully furnished apartment with a great bathroom, good bed, and very clean.
We love Callantsoog and have been coming for many years...unfortunately, it is getting more and more expensive and nice accommodations with dogs are quickly booked out.
That's why I shouldn't really recommend this apartment ??

Holiday apartment

The apartment is perfectly located in the middle of Callandsoog. In just a few steps, you can cross the dunes and reach the beautiful beach. You can do everything on foot from there, whether it’s going to the ice cream shop, bakery, or the AH. The location is perfect. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and is very sunny. It was a pleasure in March. Everything was clean, and nothing was missing. 🧚‍♀️

Great apartment, lovely hosts, super nice vacation!

We spent a very nice holiday here.
The apartment is furnished with a lot of love and positive energy.
Very modern, cozy and comfortable, and very clean.
It was equipped with everything you need, thought out to the smallest detail.
The beds are very comfortable. Our little Maltese dog also felt very comfortable.
We would love to come back and it is definitely our first choice for Callantsoog holidays.

A very nice holiday in flat "ANTJE"

We had a great holiday here. The flat is furnished with love. Very modern and very very clean.
It was equipped with everything you need. Even coffee grounds and several kinds of tea. Spices and broth were also provided ;)
The beds were very comfortable. Everything was also there for our dog. We would love to come back again ?

Top holiday apartment right at the beach access

The holiday apartment is cozy and has everything you need. The kitchen had everything available. I have never found so much crockery/cutlery/glasses in a holiday apartment before. The beds were very good. The apartment is big enough for 4 people and a dog. You don't hear any street noise because the apartment does not face the street. A parking space is available as well as an elevator. Two beach accesses are right outside the door.

We felt comfortable there and would love to come back.

very nice holiday apartment in a well-maintained complex with very friendly service

We stayed in the vacation rental for two weeks. The location is really great. Right across from the beach access. It's just a few minutes by bike or on foot to the town. The apartment was clean, modern, and had everything we needed. The service was excellent and very friendly.

Improvement suggestion: the wiring in the living room for lamps and TV is very shaky. With small children, one must be very careful here. Childproofing is now in place, though. :) The lighting, especially in the bathroom, is a bit dark. Here you could replace the bulbs with bright LED lights.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we would love to come back!

Beautiful apartment, great location.

We spent six days or five nights in the complex and the apartment. At first glance, everything was very appealing and modernly furnished. The living room furniture and the kitchen seem to be relatively new and in good condition. There was nothing missing in the two bedrooms either. However, in the smaller bedroom, a dark and continuous roller blind like in the larger bedroom would be great. The only major criticism we have is regarding the bathroom. This is absolutely outdated and urgently needs modernization. Of course, the price might not be realistic anymore, but for a top apartment, one can ask for a bit more. Furthermore, regarding cleanliness, one should take a closer look under the beds and under the large corner sofa when cleaning. We had to look under everything to collect our daughter's toys again :-). This is genuinely kind "criticism," because we still felt comfortable! Greetings from Schwerte.

Badezimmer ist in Dezember 2016 auch komplett renoviert. Und Gardinen Schlafzimmers werden ersetzt.

Top - everything is great as expected.

After 3 years back at the Beach Apartment complex. The entire complex is currently very well-maintained. The location directly behind the dune is simply fantastic, and the short walk into town with all its options from shopping to eating.
The apartment is in very good condition. The bathroom - condition is okay for now - will be renovated shortly according to the caretaker's information. Very comfortable couch in case of bad weather, kitchen with large fridge, modern dishwasher, 4-zone ceramic hob, kettle, and coffee machine which leaves nothing to be desired. Sufficient crockery and cooking utensils are also available. The four of us spent a very nice week in the complex/apartment and can only recommend it. Once again, North Holland proves to be the sunniest corner of Holland.

Inadequate description of the vacation rental

Unfortunately, the description of the apartment is not correct. There is no access from the bedroom to the balcony. Curtains are not present in the bedrooms. One can see into the apartments across unless the blinds are down all day. Sometimes there is a bathtub, sometimes a shower. There is a shower! The bathroom needs renovation, especially the shower!!!! Sun loungers are scarce as the balcony is too small.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Fantastische Umgebung. Das Klima ist im Sommer wunderbar! Der Strand und das Meer sind sehr sauber! Sehr zu empfehlen!
Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

free time activities: Ob jung oder alt. Für jeden ist etwas dabei. Sonnen und chillen am Strand,
Surfen, Reiten, Angeln,Radtouren! Für Familien ideal aber auch für Singles!

shopping facilities: Ein sehr großes Angebot! Von der Drogerie, Souvenirladen bis zum Lebensmittel Geschäft "Albert Hein"! Dieser hat 7 Tage geöffnet von 8:00 - 22:00h! Viele Restaurants laden zum gemütlichen beisammen ein!
