Driewegen is a small hamlet where two dikes meet in the middle of Zeeland’s nature. From the detached dike house with lovely garden and covered south-facing conservatory you have a beautiful unobstructed view. Ideal for families, coast lovers, walkers and cyclists. From Driewegen you can cycle to the nature reserve near Hoofdplaat in 10 minutes, Breskens is 9 km away and the North Sea beach is 25 minutes by bike or 10 minutes by car. The charming towns of Groede (11 km), the most beautiful beach in the Netherlands at Nieuwvliet-bad (14 km), and Cadzand-bad (18 km) can be reached via a beautiful cycling route through the dunes. Due to its location, the dike house is suitable as a base for both the tourist areas (Cadzand, Nieuwvliet or the charming shopping town of Sluis) and the unspoiled Zeeland nature. You can also easily reach the Belgian seaside resort of Knokke by car, the picturesque Bruges, or enjoy the museums and culture in Ghent, Antwerp or Breda. The area itself is not overrun by tourists, even in summer. There is plenty to experience and do in the immediate surroundings; from hiking, cycling, swimming, picking samphire to sailing and surfing. Furthermore, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is known for its many beach bars and excellent restaurants (Michelin* at 8 km distance). You can take the bicycle ferry from Breskens to visit Vlissingen or go on a cycling trip via Zoutelande to Domburg. Zierikzee, Veere, Goes, or Middelburg are also easily accessible for a day trip. In the winter you can take ski or snowboard lessons at SNOW-WORLD.

The house is excellently equipped, offers enough space and room for retreat when traveling with several people, it is lovingly furnished, and one is also happy to stay 'at home' for a day.

Super nice and spacious house
What a nice atmosphere in this cottage. There is a lot of space, also for our three children. They had a great time in the large attic bedroom with cozy alcoves and plenty of toys, games, and books. They can even play badminton there. The very spacious kitchen, equipped with many conveniences, has a fantastic view of the fields. There is plenty to see in nature: pheasants, various songbirds, birds of prey, even a fox, etc. The living room and adjoining conservatory are nice quiet spots. The greenhouse is also quickly a spot where you can catch the sun in the spring.
The little house is clean and neatly furnished. Everything is provided.
The large garden has all sorts of nice corners. At any time of the day, there is sun and shade somewhere. The small grass area has become a favorite spot for the children to play, play kubbs, lie down and read, etc.
A beautiful base for various trips. Several beaches are nearby, seal spotting. Nice Zeeland villages and towns, and we have also been to several Belgian cities. Easily accessible. We are happy to come back here.

A lovely house
We were alone for most of the time, during the weekend our daughter and her boyfriend were with us. It was the third time we stayed there for a whole week, and once again we enjoyed it.
The atmosphere in the house radiates calm. It is spacious, comfortable, and clean. From the moment you step inside, you feel welcome. The conservatory is a pleasant and special addition; when the sun shines even a little, it's delightful to be there. The same can be said for the large garden, with different spots where you can sit sheltered or not and space! The decor has been done with care, and almost nothing is missing. There are also plenty of cups, plates, cutlery, etc., and (not unimportantly) the wifi works great. The bedrooms are spacious with good beds.
By car or bike, you can quickly reach the nice other places in Zeeuws Vlaanderen. Shops and restaurants are also all well within reach. And within three quarters of an hour by car in Ghent, Bruges or Antwerp for a nice day out. By the way, a personal tip, 'the detour' a walk of about 6 km in Hoofdplaat (4 km further along the Westerschelde) is recommended both 'clockwise' and 'counterclockwise.'
And furthermore: photos of the house on the website were accurate, communication with the host went smoothly and quickly, and the price/quality ratio is good.

Wonderful vacation home
We, as a family (two children aged 1 and 5 years), stayed in the Deichhaus for a few days.
We liked it from the beginning.
The house is big, clean, and lovingly furnished.
The kitchen is especially beautiful, with a great view of a field and the surrounding area.
The conservatory is very bright and friendly, perfect for days with changing weather.
The garden is very large and lovingly designed, offering a lot of privacy and great for children to play.
Our son especially liked the large children's room.
The entire house has a special, beautiful atmosphere to feel good in.
With the car, we were able to explore the surroundings well and were at a great sandy beach with dunes in just a few minutes.
The communication with the landlords worked great.
We would love to come back.

Holiday
We were there as a family with 3 children (9, 13, 15).
The kitchen is very well equipped, and overall, the whole house has everything you have at home. We lacked nothing.
The garden/conservatory/terrace. Everything super beautiful and well-maintained.
The bathroom and everything else was clean and tidy. There was nothing to complain about.
We will definitely come back.
