Our Forsthaus Leonard***** is designed to give you a break from stressful and fast-paced everyday life. Its secluded location on a 2,000 m² plot with unobstructed lake and forest views conveys a great feel-good atmosphere.
The forester's lodge has recently been completely renovated and given a fresh new look. (2020/2021)
With a direct view of Petersdorfer See, Forsthaus Leonard***** is situated in Biestorf, in a quiet location surrounded by beautiful woods and idyllic meadows for cycling and with walking opportunities. There is lake access in the immediate vicinity of the house. The bathing beach is 1.5 km away. The bathing beach can be reached on foot (18 min) or also by car (3 min).
The cosily furnished forester's cottage has a spacious living area with a cosy living landscape. You can listen to the crackling of the wood in the fireplace. The fireplace spreads a cosy atmosphere of well-being in the dull months of the year. For TV lovers, a 75-inch flat-screen TV with in-house Netflix hangs on the wall.
The dining area in the conservatory with its lake view offers a lovely ambience for playing games together and cosy meals. This is followed by the fully equipped kitchen with Miele built-in kitchen appliances, which leaves nothing to be desired. (Everything is furnished with love down to the last detail)
The house has two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. The bedroom on the ground floor has its own adjoining bathroom. All bedrooms have flat screen TVs and wardrobes. There are two box spring beds and one spring mattress bed. There are two additional beds in the children's room.

The bathroom on the upper floor offers you a bathtub as well as a floor-level, glazed Raindance shower, washstand with two sinks, towel warmer and toilet.
You will also find a place to read your favourite book.
In the basement you will find our common rooms, which invite you to cosy rounds of games. The facilities include a pool table, foosball table, 55-inch flat screen TV, exercise bike and various games for young and old. Or you simply want to switch off and relax in our sauna. A separate laundry room is also located in the basement, equipped with a Miele washing machine and dryer.
The non-smoking forest house is perfect for 2-6 adults and two children. Additionally, the accommodation of a toddler/baby in a baby travel cot is given
The large, sunny terrace with a view of the Petersdorfer See lake is fully equipped and offers you the necessary peace and relaxation
For cosy and harmonious evenings, there is a barbecue (you have to bring your own charcoal). Cool drinks with ice cubes from the side-by-side ice cube dispenser for balmy summer evenings round them off.
A playhouse with slide and swing for the little ones can be used individually.
A garden shed offers space for 2 bicycles and serves as other additional storage space
Car access directly to the house is available and offers convenient, short access to the house. Car parking spaces are available directly at the house.

The key and the spa cards will be sent by post in good time before arrival.
General information, place and location of the accommodation
The spacious Forsthaus Leonard, situated on the Petersdorfer See lake, offers the perfect getaway for up to 6 people, in a quiet location, otherwise only water, forest and meadow. There are only a few houses in Biestorf itself.
2 km further on, in the small village of Lenz, there is a good restaurant and other inns. Lenz is also in the forest and surrounded by water.
The nearest town is Malchow and about 4 km away. In Malchow you will find the historic swing bridge. This technical monument, is the functioning connection from the mainland to the island with its beautiful, renovated, old houses. From the beer gardens and cafés around the harbour in Malchow, you have a wonderful view of the idyllic Malchow Lake, with the monastery complex in the background. While you enjoy your refreshment, you can watch the harbour hustle and bustle and the many ships passing the swing bridge. Shopping facilities, bakers, cafés and restaurants, often located directly on the lake, small shops, the town harbour, museums, the town church, as well as the monastery with its organ exhibition are all within easy reach in Malchow. The passenger boat companies tempt you with excursions to Lake Fleesensee, Lake Plauer See, or Lake Müritz, the largest inland lake in Germany.
There is a wide range of leisure and sporting activities on offer. In the immediate vicinity there are golf courses, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a riding school, a summer toboggan run, a monkey forest and many other possibilities for leisure activities. Cycling, riding and hiking trails, in the lush nature with its many lakes, are mostly well developed.

TOP holiday home in a quiet location
The photos on the website did not promise too much. A perfectly furnished and cozy house in a location that invites relaxation.
The holiday home can only be recommended, it was very clean and the furnishings in all rooms, including the kitchen, leave nothing to be desired.
You can go for wonderful walks with the dog and through the fenced property, he can occasionally move around outside unsupervised.
We would love to come back, maybe just at a different time, as many facilities in the small and pretty town of Malchow were already closed for the winter.

A great week
We have enjoyed the days here very much. There is really nothing missing. The equipment is extremely complete and exceptionally high quality. The location is fantastic and our dog could roam around to his heart's content on the large and completely fenced grounds. A great, lovingly furnished house with attention to detail.

this house can be recommended without reservation.
We spent one week on a family vacation (father, mother, children/partners, grandchildren) in Forsthaus Leonard. 6 adults and 2 small children. It was perfect for us. Very clean and well-equipped. Idyllically located, with a view of the lake and the horse paddock. There is a barbecue and a large fire pit where we sat in the evenings. The fence around the property and the playground were perfect for our 2.5-year-old. Our son and his partner (without children yet) rented bikes, went kayaking, and went on excursions. The kitchen is large enough and arranged in a way that allows for multiple people to cook, with everything you need. We felt very comfortable and will recommend the house.

Really great holiday home
We can only agree with the previous reviews. It's truly a great house. Lots of space, excellent facilities, and a fantastic location if you're looking for peace and quiet. You can really switch off while looking out at the lake and the horse paddock. Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the weather, but that's not the fault of the house. The only thing we missed, as someone before us mentioned, was a ladder on the bathing jetty. We always had to use the SUP to get out of the water. Unfortunately, not an option for grandma and grandpa. However, the jetty is perfect for fishing.

Holiday with dog
We had a wonderful vacation in a great nature with a beautiful holiday home. Beautiful location, almost completely alone, with fenced property and great amenities made our vacation uncomplicated and relaxing even with two dogs. Family vacation

Dreamy house in a dreamy location!
An extremely well-maintained house with upscale furnishings. Great for dog owners, securely fenced for slightly larger dogs. Walking paths through the forest and fields are really right outside the front door.
Relaxation begins on the first day of vacation and doesn't end until departure! ;)
There are many shops for daily needs in Malchow.

Dream house
Dream house sums it up best, it is just perfect! We were 2 families and it was nice and big and perfectly equipped. We were very touched by the bottle of champagne and the little gifts. You feel very welcome. The process was wonderfully uncomplicated. Nothing was missing, neither coffee, toilet paper or spices or or or, simply everything sufficiently there. That's what I call perfect and well-deserved 5 stars! We will be happy to come again!

A very beautiful old forester's house. Really well renovated with quality furnishings in a great location. At least for people who like hiking, fishing, swimming or cycling. Bicycles - unfortunately no e-bikes (complaining on a high level) - are also on site.

Everything from the finest
The forester's house is quietly situated with a view of the lake on a large fenced plot. The interior is modern and of high quality, nothing is missing, everything has been thought of. There are many beautiful hiking trails and if the weather is not so good, you can play billiards and table football or watch something on the large TVs (Netflix). For relaxation, there is a sauna and fireplace. The landlords are very nice and help immediately if there is a problem.

Best holiday home I have had so far
The house is large, very beautifully and modernly furnished.
It was really designed with love and skill.
It has everything you could wish for and much more.
There are so many things that delighted us here that I can't list them all here.
All the highlights are already listed above in the description of the house.
They apply 100 per cent.
Here are my favourite features:
*Large dining table with a view of the lake.
*Modern kitchen with ice cube refrigerator.
*Great bedrooms and beds with views of the lake or forest.
*Cosy living room with fireplace.
*Very nice modern bathroom.
*All the lighting in the house is top notch.
*Basement with table football/billiard table, sauna, washing machine, dryer.
*Large TV in each room, with netflix.
*Large garden with fire bowl and barbecue.
*Large sand area with swings and slides for the children.
*Fully fenced area with two gates.
*Situated directly on the lake and forest.
All the accessories in the house and garden are great.
*There are spices, washing up liquid/rags, baking paper, aluminium foil, kitchen roll, sugar, salt etc in the kitchen.
*Soap everywhere, in the bathroom/wc.
*For the fireplace there are lighters and matches, once firewood.
*In the garden there are toys for the sandpit, a trolley, bicycles for big and small.
Everything has been thought of and lovingly equipped, which is not often the case in holiday homes.
It is just 4 km to the centre of Malchow, and only 8 minutes by car.
And you can get everything you need.
Lidl, aldi, netto, edeka, petrol station, DIY store, railway station and much more.
The contact with the landlord was great, quick response and very nice.

The house, the fenced garden, the peace and quiet....man doesn't know what to praise first. We have rarely found such a clean domicile. Many thanks to the Strauch family and team. We will definitely be back, unfortunately our preferred date for 2023 is no longer available. We can absolutely recommend this dream house.

Holiday with lake view
Quietly located, spacious holiday home just a few metres from Petersdorf Lake. High-quality furnishings, especially the kitchen. The ice cube dispenser was particularly popular with the youngsters. All rooms are comfortably and cosily furnished. And if something really doesn't fit right away, help is provided quickly and very friendly.

Wonderful holiday
We spent two wonderful weeks at Forsthaus Leonard.
The location is top! The cleanliness of the house, which we found on arrival, deserves special mention. The house itself leaves nothing to be desired and the surroundings are beautiful. No criticism possible.

Hervorragend
Eine in jeder Hinsicht zufriedenstellende und empfehlenswerte Unterkunft. Eine Ausstiegshilfe am Steg ( z.B. eine kleine Leiter) wäre besonders für Senioren hilfreich.

Wunderschönes Urlaubsdomizil
Wir, 6 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder, verbrachten in diesem Ferienhaus ein wunderschönes verlängertes Wochenende. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen traumhaften Ausblick auf den Petersdorfer See. Die einzelnen Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und die Ausstattung des Hauses lässt keine Wünsche offen. Unsere Enkelkids fanden die Kellerräume mit demTischkicker und dem Billiardtisch sehr cool und somit kam keine lange Weile auf. Das Gelände ist komplett eingezäunt und die Kiddis konnten gefahrlos im Freien spielen. Wir haben wunderschöne Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung unternommen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und konnten super entspannen und abschalten. Das Ferienhaus können wir nur weiter empfehlen!!

Mega tolle Unterkunft
Das Ferienhaus liegt inmitten der Natur und für sich allein. Ein Traumhafter Ausblick auf den See und die Umgebung. Die Ausstattung des Hauses lässt keine Wünsche offen und ist geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, so dass selbst bei schlechtem Wetter der Urlaub zum Erlebnis wird. Auch die Außenausstattung ist super und lädt zu gemütlichen Grillabenden oder Lagerfeuern an der riesigen Feuerschale ein. Wer auch Angeln möchte, kann dies vom nahegelegenen Steg aus tun. Aal und Friedfisch konnten wir erfolgreich landen. Wenn es spät wird, kann das Equipment schnell im geräumigen Schuppen verstaut werden. Wir hoffen auf jeden Fall bald wieder zu Gast sein zu dürfen!

Incredibly beautiful stay!!!
We stayed in this holiday home for a long weekend and it was the most beautiful house we have ever stayed in. Everything was just right and you immediately felt at home. The house is totally modern and lovingly furnished, is located directly on the lake and is surrounded by a large enclosed (very nice with children) property. Each room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Just sensational!!!
If there is anything to improve, which is on a very high level, it would be that there should be more cosy blankets so you can sit outside at this time of year. Otherwise everything perfect, thank you!!!

Wunderschöne Ferienunterkunft
Ein sehr großzügig ausgestattetes Haus für 8 Gäste, wir waren zu fünft und es war sehr schön. Einziger Fehler - das Wochenende war für diesen Aufenthalt viel zu kurz!
Trotz Sturm konnten wir die Annehmlichkeiten des Hauses von Kamin bis Billard nutzen und aus dem nahen Malchow wurde das lecker Abendessen problemlos geliefert.
Unser Enkel wollte sofort einen weiteren Urlaub hier buchen, auch unser Hund wollte nicht wieder weg hier.
Das Gelände ist komplett eingezäunt, so das Kind und Hund einen gefahrlosen Aufenthalt genießen konnten. Gern kommen wir wieder!

Super nice house, great stay!
We can only recommend the house! Super good facilities and an atmosphere to feel good in! We enjoyed the Christmas days there very much! The beautiful location with a view of the lake, a really very good kitchen, beautiful rooms, sauna, pool table and table football and to top it all off, the wintry weather with snow left nothing to be desired. A small drop of bitterness: with the really wintry temperatures (between -8° and -12° at night) not all rooms were evenly warm. A tip for the next guests: bring your own bathrobes and sauna towels!

Familienurlaub mit Hund im Forsthaus
Tolles Haus mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Küche war großzügig ausgestattet. Unsere Kids waren besonders von dem Eiswürfelbereiter begeistert. Im Keller gab es einen Billardtisch, der von den Kids sehr oft genutzt wurde. Dieses schöne Forsthaus können wir auf jedem Fall weiterempfehlen.

lovely holiday home
We just wanted to get out for a few days and this holiday home came in handy for the end of September. In the dingy autumn weather, we had a nice day with Netflix on the couch, sauna and table football :). The holiday home is really well equipped for such days. In the evening, with a hot drink on the terrace, we had pure nature with the bats flying by. Maybe a bit scary, but also cool
If you don't like to cook (the kitchen has everything you need), Malchow and various restaurants are not far away.
All in all, we had a very relaxing short holiday in a beautiful holiday home.

Zum Abschalten genau das Richtige
Wir waren über das Wochenende im Forsthaus Leonard und waren positiv überrascht wie toll es doch war. Das Haus liegt in ruhiger Umgebung und es gab viel zu entdecken. Unsere Kinder fanden die Kellerräume toll - es kam keine langeweile auf. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut - es fehlt an nichts. Der Blick von der Sonnenliege aus auf den Petersdorfer See - einfach schön. Ich konnte super abschalten und entspannen.
Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und das Wetter hat super mitgemacht ; )
