This charming holiday home is nestled in the picturesque Frisian countryside, just a stone's throw away from the city of Leeuwarden. The farm boasts a prime location on the open waters, complete with its own private harbour. It's the perfect place for families, as there are plenty of fun and engaging activities for children to enjoy. From the large trampoline and football table to the dart corner and basketball spot, there's something for everyone. And for the little ones, there's even a friendly walking pony named Anouk that they can ride (with parental supervision, of course).
Fishing enthusiasts will be delighted to know that the perfect spot to cast a line is just 10m away. The area is also a haven for cyclists, with many scenic routes to explore. For something truly unique, the start of the famous "De 8 van Grou" ferry ride is just 5 km away. Golfers can also enjoy a round at the nearby course, located 8 km away. And for those who need to pick up general supplies, do some shopping, or grab a bite to eat, there are plenty of options within a 15km radius. The Fries Museum Leeuwarden is also just 17km away.
After an active day, you can relax and unwind in the hot tub while taking in the stunning views and breathtaking sunsets. The owner is in the process of making this location even more idyllic, with every rental income invested in refurbishing the farm and yard.
For even more space, the farm and a nearby chalet (house code NL-0046-25) can also be rented together. This is the perfect option for larger groups or families travelling together (house code NL-0048-50). With all rental income being invested in the location, this truly is an idyllic spot to relax and create lasting memories.
It is possible for all Guests to have a sloop brought on location at small harbor, next to the accommodation.

With 8 people (from children to seniors) we had an extremely pleasant stay at the farm. The homely atmosphere, the rural location with a view of the cows, farm-fresh self-collected eggs, swimming in "the backyard" (or chilling in the hot tub) and the wonderful outdoor area provided relaxation for young and old. A very complete house for a fantastic holiday in the countryside. Owner is flexible and helpful.

We were there in February. It took 6 hours to heat up the hot tub and then all the wood was gone and we had nothing for the rest of the days. We had to buy that, 2 items per evening at 5 euros each. And you also have to walk up and down the entire time in those 6 hours to keep the fire going. Then all the play equipment was in a stone cold shed, which was also leaking due to the storm. So you couldn't really do anything with that, everything was also packed. We had to unpack and move it ourselves if we wanted to do something with it. The house is next to a highway on a dead end street. There is nothing around it. At the weekend the small house next to us was also rented out and played very loud music until 5.30 am. We thought we have something that will not bother anyone, but a pity if a house with a family next door is rented out. The horse and chickens were nice, but were in thick mud. The 2 cats are very sweet. At the end of the stay my daughter had a rash/bumps, which turned out to be caused by bed bugs when she came home after contact with the doctor. So I had to wash everything we had at home at 60 degrees. And she had itching everywhere. The woman of the house responded with every complaint that she was sorry, but no one had said anything like that before, so ... We had some extra wood once, which was just too little to properly use the hot tub to get warm. She also found that annoying. We had a good time together, but I will certainly not go back here. In the summer it will be a different experience, but in the winter there is nothing and you pay for extras that you can not really use.

Lovely house, welcoming reception, nice extras to entertain you. The cats Simon and Kaki are very sociable, pony Anouk is also very sweet. We had a nice swim in the cove of the canal. Watch out for the very large boats that suddenly come around the corner! A day of sailing with a rented sloop is a lot of fun. The city of Leewarden is just around the corner, great for cycling. The recreation area Kleine Wielen is also a great place to visit. Dokkum, Grauw and Sneek are also very nice places to go. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

What a wonderful house! It is really good to see that the host has been able to relate to the guests very well. Nice (made) beds with a nice Riviera Maison plaid on each bed next to a nice duvet and pillow, everything super clean. Towels (spacious enough for kitchen, shower and hot tub), tea towels and a fully equipped kitchen (sandwich maker / grill, juicer, hand blender, chocolate fountain, double-walled teapot (incl. Tasty tea from dill & chamomile), fantastic espresso machine (Jura), sharp chef's knives and complete crockery). Pony Anouk is very sweet, she loves to be pampered. The cats too (live in the shed, so no problem for allergy sufferers). Trampoline, basketball net, table football, dartboard and shuffleboard available and fine. SmartTV with which you can watch everything with your own login. No problems at all from the motorway and very nice that there is a jetty to moor a sloop (rented elsewhere).

Unfortunately, we are repeatedly disturbed by unannounced visits from the landlady and various craftsmen. The visits were not announced. People are always standing in our garden. We have never seen it like this before.

Super nice farm! Inside very well renovated and the interior is really well cared for and tidy. Finally a kitchen with enough gas burners and a very good oven!! We have enjoyed using this, including the bbq! We are also very pleased with the beds. They were lovely and there were also plenty of towels, which was very nice. Our daughter has completely fallen in love with the pony and the cats, which she has enjoyed taking care of all week. All in all a nice holiday in our own country!! Definitely worth e.g. come back in the fall or winter!

Beautiful large house in a nice quiet place with many amenities. Too bad that the washing machine and dryer were not available (you have to pass on) and 1 toilet is little with 8 people. Yet we enjoyed each other, pony and cats sweet animals went well with our dog. Hot tub and play equipment both inside and outside top!

We stayed here with 2 families, with children. The many playground equipment such as trampoline, football table, dartboard and joule table were very popular. Anouk the pony really liked all the attention. Bathroom and toilet slightly dated, but the kitchen and living room and dining room have been renovated very nicely and fully equipped. There is a large bbq on the terrace. The hot tub works well and once it's hot, it stays hot for quite some time. Bring or buy your own wood. Wood goes up quickly. At the cottage is a jetty where we could moor our rented boat. Overall a nice stay, especially with children.
