Description
Our lovingly furnished 45 m² chalet is equipped with all the practical things you need for a relaxing holiday. To make it pleasant for our guests, we renovated it in April 2021. The chalet has a living-dining area with a large TV, leather sofa bed (f. 2 pers.) and a dining table with 4 chairs (spare chairs in the shed). The living-dining area offers a beautiful view of the IJssel. Through the large windows you can watch the ships as they quietly pass by. The kitchen adjacent to the living area is fully equipped. It has a large fridge with freezer compartment, 4 plate gas stove or alternatively a 2 plate electric cooker is available. Extractor hood, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee machine, kettle, egg boiler and toaster are also provided. The chalet has 1 bedroom with a double bed 1.80x2.00m and a large sliding door wardrobe. In the 2nd bedroom there is a bunk bed and a 3-door wardrobe. The bathroom is equipped with shower, toilet, towel radiator, washstand with base cabinet, mirror cabinet and hairdryer. A high chair and a baby cot are also available. The terrace overlooks the Ijssel and has a glass windbreak to protect you from the breeze and enjoy the mild summer evenings. Unfortunately, we could not provide a barbecue for hygienic reasons.

Location and surroundings of object
Chalet Silas is located in a holiday park. Here you will find many activities, as well as a relaxing holiday for all ages. The children can build castles on the nearby beach while their parents relax. You can refresh yourself at the beach bar. The water park with children's pool and water slide is under reconstruction (completed by the season, so no pictures yet). There is also a chill bar where you can enjoy cocktails and other drinks. The playground and tennis court are only a few meters away. You would like to make a small boat trip? also this is possible. Boats can be rented in the marina. Cyclists and hikers will enjoy one of the most beautiful nature areas in the Netherlands. Don't forget your camera. The fishing lake at the park is waiting for you. After you have spent the day as you wish, there is the possibility of fulfilling your culinary wishes in the nearby restaurant. In addition to the restaurant, you will find a supermarket, a broodjesbar, a cafeteria, the Old Sailor bar and a sandwich bar near the reception. Further entertainment will be provided by the animation.

Within a short distance you will find small villages that will give you the Dutch charm. The city of Arnhem is about 10 minutes away by car. The city is known as Holland's number 1 fashion city, so nothing stands in the way of a shopping trip. This city also offers you one of the most beautiful jungle zoos, the Burger's Zoo. The old city of Nijmegen is also worth a visit. On the Hoge Veluwe we recommend a visit to the Kröller Müller Museum with paintings by Vincent Van Gogh. You will certainly discover many more sights yourself, which we hope you enjoy.

Great charlet
Great and clean accommodation, very comfortably furnished!
We were there for 1 week and felt very comfortable.
All the essentials are there and well looked after.
Even the children are taken care of and there are some games in the living area.
The outside area is also very nice, as far as I can tell, everything important is there (chair cushions, umbrellas, trolley, clothes horse)
There were plenty of flyers etc. with tips for excursions, but unfortunately 95% of them were only in Dutch
We were not able to use many things (pool, cafés and supermarket) out of season as they were already closed, so it would have been helpful to have some information in advance.
Wifi is unfortunately not included, but you can "buy" it on site, but it was not so important for us.
All in all, it was a very nice time at Charlet Silas.

Our name is Marion and Norbert Gramann. We bought the chalet in 2021 because we liked the location very much. The view of the Ijssel with its shipping and the proximity to the lake convinced us. We named it after our youngest grandson Silas. To make our guests feel comfortable, we renovated the chalet and equipped it with new appliances. We also renewed some of the furniture. We hope that our guests will also enjoy Chalet Silas.
