Everything is great! The only thing that bothers me is the very loud dishwasher. If you go on vacation during the dark season, you should take a flashlight with you. The little town is not particularly well-lit.

We were two in November 2024 for a week at the Old Customs House and were absolutely delighted. The house is excellent for a relaxing getaway. The secluded location makes it very quiet, the garden is very spacious and was well-kept and tidy despite the season. The interior is very stylish, and the amenities, especially in the kitchen, are more than abundant. As an amateur cook, I was thrilled! The cleanliness was flawless! Especially for dog owners, the two vestibules are great for storing leashes, dog towels, and your sandy shoes. One would have to search very long for any shortcomings! In fact, finding the "light switches" was an adventure, but we took it sportily as a riddle task and laughed loudly when we found them. . . We were aware that the ceiling height is rather low, but even we, both at 1.95m tall, 1.85m quickly accustomed us to walking through the house "humbly" and without sustaining any significant roof damage. The driveway onto the property should be approached quite confidently and without prolonged maneuvering; the road is hard to see and theoretically, other vehicles are allowed to travel at 100 km/h there. In less than a 10-minute drive, you can conveniently find three large supermarkets, a bakery, a drugstore, and other shopping options right next to each other - there is also a suitable charging station for electric cars! I would particularly like to highlight the very attentive communication with the agency and the smooth and always courteous processing of our booking! Thank you very much for that. To the owners and managers, we express our respect: They have created a gem there and brought it to a wonderful condition and maintained it. Hats off! We will gladly come back!

As always, we really enjoyed our stay. The dishwasher is now very, very loud. It could use an inspection. The dryer also wants to start up all the time. Other than that, everything is great.

The holiday home itself is great, interior design and equipment are excellent. The garden is generous and well-maintained, as are the garden furniture. The play equipment for children is simply fantastic. A longer garden hose for watering all the roses and plants would be desirable. The trash bins urgently need an exterior cleaning. A traffic mirror for safe exit would be helpful.

The old customs house is a true gem with a very special atmosphere. We spent 12 wonderful days at the beautiful old customs house, the garden is amazing. I had expected a bit more fence according to the description (the sides towards the fields are completely open) but it was okay with a long leash for our dog. Always happy to come back!

We spent a week in this beautiful house with four of us and felt very comfortable. The living and sleeping rooms left nothing to be desired. We were pleased with the two bathrooms and the generous selection of dishes and cutlery. The property is huge, with the lawn neatly mowed by the lawn mower robot. Plenty of space to play. Unfortunately, we could not use the seating areas much, it was simply too cold and wet. However, we could watch Mama Pheasant and her young from the living room. Service team, please also regularly maintain the outdoor areas around the large table.

The Old Customs House is a high-quality, tastefully decorated, elaborate and cozy holiday home with paths by the water within walking distance. It is quiet and secluded, so we could relax and enjoy New Year's with two dogs. Three full bedrooms were ideal for three couples, the bathrooms small but functional. Very tall people may have to duck in some places on the ground floor, but the charm of the old building makes up for it. The sturdy floors, the water hose in front of the house, and two entrance areas for drying off and cleaning paws make the holiday with a dog much easier. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and well-thought-out, the kitchen very well-equipped. We missed a doormat in the entrance area and champagne glasses on New Year's Eve, but we could improvise.

The old customs house is a cozy house with a very nice garden and located in a quiet area. If you want to relax, this is the perfect place for you. A good starting point for excursions, for example to St. Peter Ording, Husum, Friedrichstadt, Eidersperrwerk... You can quickly reach the Eider on foot and we were able to take nice walks with our dog. The house itself is comfortably furnished and the kitchen is well-equipped. In the garden, there are several seating areas and also nice play opportunities for children (swing, sandbox, and plenty of space to run around). All in all, a very nice vacation.

We felt comfortable in the old customs house. The driveway was heavily soiled (weather). That wasn't nice when unloading and loading. Equipment and decoration exemplary. The light switch extremely unusual. The TV system should be introduced in an information leaflet.

We stayed for 2.5 weeks at "Altes Zollhaus" in September 2020. The property and equipment exceeded our expectations (children's plastic spoons, mixer, cake tin, lots of dishes and cutlery, etc.). Someone put a lot of thought into the furnishings and implemented everything lovingly. We felt comfortable as soon as we entered. The garden is just as idyllic as in the pictures. The ceilings on the ground floor are a bit lower, which didn't bother the tall vacationers (< 1.90 m), it's just how it is. The bathrooms are quite small, but it was more important for us that there were two. The house was very clean and well-maintained. For us, it was a perfect vacation and a good starting point for various day trips in the area (including Husum, St. Peter-Ording, Pellworm, Büsum, Flensburg). We will definitely come back in a few years!

The house is a very cosy old thatched house, where you have to consider that the ceilings are very low. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Very briefly? We were absolutely thrilled. The house enchants with its romantic character already from the outside. Inside, we were amazed by the style, taste and charm with which the house is furnished. With precious baskets, small pieces of furniture and creative ideas, you can feel the heart and soul of the owners. We felt completely at home. Everything is there, perfectly tidy and tip-top clean. They even thought of literature, DVDs and games. The garden is huge and offers many possibilities to relax. The location is a bit out of the way, but wonderfully quiet. The bathrooms are small but practical. One should consider the ceiling height. My husband took one or two bumps with him as a souvenir. Taller than 1.95 is difficult. We will definitely come back. Even our pubescent would like to come here again. Important for dog owners - that there is no fence everywhere. I wish there was some gardening equipment available - I would have loved to run around on this wonderful spot:)
