Description
Charming original Danish holiday home directly on the dyke in Tönning/Olversum. The house is situated on a 2600 sqm large, partly natural property and offers pure North Sea feeling. A small stream surrounds the rear property. On the dike you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the bird sanctuary of the salt marshes and the extensive Eider river to the Katinger Watt nature reserve and Dithmarschen. Sheep everywhere. Also flocks of birds, in May and June a pair of swallows nests above the front door. The beautiful garden and the natural part of the large property give the impression of being far away from it all. In combination with the very quiet location and the vastness of the sky, our holiday idyll provides you with an all-round relaxing time-out accompanied by the diverse voices of unspoilt nature. In this tranquillity you can find new strength.
Large living/dining area, large conservatory. 2 bathrooms, one with shower, one with bathtub.
5 small bedrooms (typical for Danish houses), 3 of them on the upper floor (thin wooden beam ceiling). Bed sizes 3 x 1,60 m and 2 x 1,40m.
The house has underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. There is also a fireplace.
The kitchen is fully equipped, but without a microwave. There is a Miele cooker, a classic coffee maker, an espresso maker, a kettle and a Sodastream water bubbler. The house exudes a very special atmosphere due to the quaint Danish construction combined with the large windows. The house is also perfect for a getaway for two.
There is a HI-Fi system with record player from Bang and Olufsen at your disposal. The TV is also from Bang and Olufsen. There is also a Bluetooth music box. Numerous books, also with tips for the region, as well as various board games round off the offer. Of course, you can use the washing machine free of charge. WLAN is available free of charge on request.
Bicycles (about eight) are available in the garage. These are mainly ladies' bikes with 8-speed hub gears. There is also a professional table football table, a small ping-pong table, a dartboard and another fridge in the garage.
Directly on the dyke or via the beautiful Deichgrafenstraße you can reach the bathing area with DLRG station and nice cafe as well as playground in about 1700m. The seawater swimming pool is also located here. After another 800 m you will reach Tönning's historic harbour and the market square as well as the castle garden. You can always walk directly along the water!
Tönning offers numerous restaurants and shopping facilities as well as an excellent fish delicatessen.
Sankt Peter Ording and Büsum are about 20 minutes away by car and can always be reached by bicycle along the North Sea. You can also reach the rustic Andresen restaurant after about 5 km by bike. The nearest North Sea bathing area is in Vollerwiek, 8 km away.

Incredibly beautiful!
In three weeks it is time again. Then we will be for the third time in this beautifully furnished country-style vacation home where you simply have to feel completely comfortable. When you go into the garden in the morning, you are first greeted by the sheep on the dike. A big compliment to the friendly landlord!! Hygge on the dike
Absolutely recommendable. The location is great and so are the facilities. The contact with the landlords was outstanding and very friendly. We got great excursion destinations and insider tips. The dyke is right behind the house and restaurants are easy to reach on foot or by bike. The house was clean and the furnishings left nothing to be desired. Highly recommended, especially with a dog. We would book again at any time.

Dream house
We came across this house quite spontaneously, our holiday would have completely fallen through, but thanks to the uncomplicated and quick feedback we were able to use this beautiful house and relax. The house has everything you need and much more. The large property is amazing. In the house you can see the love for the house, so well coordinated with so much attention to detail. We are very sad that the days were over so quickly. We are already looking forward to the next time.
