This detached bungalow is found in the wooded holiday park Landgoed Het Grote Zand, 1.5 km from the little village centre of Hooghalen. The lively provincial capital, Assen, is 11 km away.
The bungalow is comfortable and fully furnished and consists of two floors. On the ground floor, you'll find a living room with TV and an open plan kitchen including a combination microwave and dishwasher. There's also a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and separate toilet (or one in the bathroom). On the first floor, you'll find two three-person bedrooms and a second bathroom with a shower and toilet. All the beds are single box-spring beds, either pushed together to make a double bed or used separately in a twin-room setup.
Outside you'll enjoy a garden with terrace and garden furniture. The bungalow has standard parking space for two cars.
Various holiday homes for four to twelve people are available for rent at the Landgoed Het Grote Zand holiday park.

The beautiful, 35 hectare Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the province of Drenthe.
It is in a very convenient position. The park has attractive, new bungalows and is on the edge of a protected nature reserve. It is 500 metres from the village of Hooghalen. You can enjoy day trips, walks and cycle trips in the surrounding countryside. The attractive main building has various facilities including a reception area, a shop, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Turkish Bath and solarium. There is a pleasant 'Brown Café' and a snack bar. You can enjoy an à la carte restaurant in the evenings. The park's recreation team organises a number of activities during the holiday season. Children can enjoy treasure hunts, children's bingo and sports tournaments. The holiday park has plenty of playground equipment. If you enjoy cycling you will love it here. The Hooghalen countryside consists of extensive woods, fields and moor lands. Youll find four nature reserves in the immediate area. These are Het Grote Zand, Het Witte Zand, Het Heuvinger Zand and Het Noorder & Hijkerveld. Tens of kilometres of cycling paths lead you through beautiful Forestry Commission lands.
The Het Grote Zand Holiday Park is in the heart of Drente and is ideally positioned for visiting many places of interest. The city of Assen is less then ten kilometres away. You can enjoy shopping, the Traffic Adventure Park (Verkeerspark) and the Drentse Museum there. The Noorder Zoo in Emmen is nearby and the historic city of Groningen is well worth a visit. This beautiful holiday park is highly recommended for young families, seniors and all who enjoy beautiful scenery. The park's excellent position combined with its many facilities are the perfect combination for an enjoyable holiday.
This unique country estate is in a convenient position in the beautiful province of Drenthe. The estate is surrounded by delightful nature reserves.
A number of holiday home facilities may be booked for a 27,50 preference cost. These facilities are not standard. They include a second parking space by the accommodation, a bath, a combination microwave oven, DVD player, infra-red sauna, internet, stove and dishwasher. Please contact our Customer Contact Centre regarding these options.
From November 6, 2018 through April 1, 2019, the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except during school holidays.
For group bookings in the 8 - 12 person accommodations with guests aged up to and including 24 years, we require a deposit of € 300. ID card / passport / driver's license may be requested at check-in.

The house was big and spacious. The only downside was that when we arrived the house unfortunately smelled of smoke. Otherwise everything was tippi toppi.

Pretty practical cottage, with so many people (8) it was not too full. The room on the ground floor for grandparents gave us very useful, we have health requirements needed space, and that was plenty. On the ground floor The children appeared much in the pool. Drenthe is very nice and varied with trips for every child what. We chose the dolmens for the middle gnome land for the smallest, the tractorslep for the senior who wants to be a farmer, and together we chose Orvelte, especially the glass making was a great success, and beautifully done. and further, of course, biking and hiking on the heii with quest and all. Quite fun way for us to make our grandchildren ,.

Pick up a 1500-hour key pass. Arrived at the cottage. Not cleaned. Resolved by reception with coffee and apple pie, we had to ask for it. Did not go by itself. It wasn't super clean after that either. House itself is pretty okay, everything works. But the state of maintenance is limited. The necessary work must be done on paintwork. Ceiling bathroom upstairs lets go. Furthermore, we made it with it.

Het huis is groot en goed uitgerust. Bedden waren heel goed en de douches ook. Wat meer stopcontacten boven zou wel prettig zijn. Schoonmaak moet beter voor het geld,wat je betaald.Douches zijn schimmelig en de wastafels niet fris. Spinrag en spinnen overal.Moesten eerst alles wegzuigen. Ramen werden wel schoongemaakt toen wij er waren. Zonder extra kosten neem ik aan.

The cottage was nice and cozy. But it took a few days to burn really hot because of all the cold walls. also felt cold bench learning so bring fleece blanket! The layout is a bit unusual upstairs are two bedrooms with 6 beds and one bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Downstairs is the master bedroom (2 people) with adjoining bathroom and shower and two sinks. If over here wants to use them to run through the bedroom. Furthermore, the pans were very small for eight people but kept the park without a larger pan and skillet problems there! The setting is beautiful, as you can from the park Stroll conveniently the moor. And near Memorial Monument Westerbork Drenthe Museum in Assen.

We've had 12 wonderful days at the High Sand. Beautiful park with beautiful houses. Fully equipped. Great activities for kids of all ages. Really recommended. Our kids want here like to go again next year.

The park is spacious, where there is no disruption of traffic on the park itself. Everything needed to have a nice holiday is available at the park. The surrounding area also offers many opportunities to go on excursions, both outside and inside.

New Years celebrated in house number 93. A beautiful, well maintained spacious house. We lacked nothing. Large sofa with seating for everyone, good wifi (important with four children), fine beds and spacious bathrooms. Have visited Camp Westerbork (very impressive), walked on the moor then traveled to the park and the observatory. Have great fun. The only niggle was the mini pool with only five changing rooms, much too small for such "one park!

A spacious house with a beautiful large garden on the edge of the forest. Located in a neat park in nature. However, the house was not equally clean everywhere. In addition, it would be a smoke-free house, but it still smelled of smoke.
