The cottage was well located (not all houses are privacy-friendly but ours fortunately) nearby village and supermarket and plenty of attractions for children (and adults) in the area. Note that you indicate (self, is not an option) that you want to smoke / smoking because our house was smoked, not pleasant. Reasonable bed. Shame there was no bath available (with 2 small children in handy) or 2 toilets (6 persons very pleasant). Further good reception helped and eaten at snack bar, pizza reasonable!

We stayed one week in the Great Sand Bungalow. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy nature, but also want to pay a visit to Assen, Emmen and Groningen. With its central location you are anywhere within a half hour drive. Kamp Westerbork is also worth a visit and can be reached by a nice walk from the park. Besides all the wonderful trips also enjoyed the park. The cottages are fully equipped. And also there is a lovely pool. We will definitely come back sometime!

Het Groote Zand is a very beautiful and quiet park with opportunities for everyone! The rented house was clean and tidy. Very nice that all the houses are separated from each other by a lot of greenery. Plenty of birds and unicorns as a result. Restaurants and shops within walking and cycling distance. A visit to the Westerbork monument and the Drents Museum contribute to reflection and a sense of art. Despite some rain we had a fantastic week.
