This authentic 1842 farmhouse is located in the beautiful Geul Valley, between the towns of Wijlre and Schin op Geul. Its comfortable bedrooms can easily accommodate 2 families.

The house is an ideal starting point for lovely walks and cycle rides through the Geul valley and the hill country. The steam train route of the South Limburg Steam Railway Company is part of the village. The train passes the farmstead at a distance of about 200 m. This location is also a great base for trips to Valkenburg (5 km) with its famous caves, the cosy city of Maastricht, Vaals and the historic cities of Aachen and Liège.

The farmstead consists of 2 separate houses connected by a connecting door. Both houses have their own terrace overlooking the Geul valley.

Very warm welcome by concerned owner with Limburg custard and cakes. Apartments were spotlessly clean with good beds. Equipment in good order. We were 14 people and booked 2 separate apartments that are accessible through a door. From 1 terrace beautiful views of Geuldal and Keutenberg. Farm centrally located and close to Valkenburg.

We as a group of fifty have had a wonderful weekend here. The reception was very nice with 2 tasty flax as a surprise. The location was great and a nice base for cycling and waving. Shortly recommended.

Tasty receive Limburg pie! Along the way to Valkenburg, but very quiet in the field gelegen.Vriendelijke hostesses and everything neatly verzorgd.Broodjes should you buy in the village, because an oven is not.

On arrival a very pleasant, friendly reception, complete with Limburg flan. The house was spotless and well equipped. Beautiful location and a number of tourist attractions within "reach". In short: a must for people who appreciate peace. We are very satisfied.

We had a very nice weekend with the family gehad.Wij were 10 people. and kleinkind.Het was useful in this house that a door was our grandchild could sleep peacefully, and she had no trouble sorting out what we maakte.Ook noise for a walk along the corn fields and woods and Wijlre, was delicious. Also for fun trip to Valkenburg, Maastricht was heerlijk.En gay twin sisters were also very friendly and gastvrij.Het weather was good, so it was super greetings Fam Hooymans

Also we can wholeheartedly the experiences of the previous guests subscribe. We have two houses rented for a long weekend to celebrate our children and grandchildren. Total 12 guests, no problem to include them. Everything was neatly trimmed. In the beginning I was even afraid that it's too good and what could be damaged by the playfulness of the grandchildren. Fortunately it was pretty good weather and we were far out in the beautiful nature walks. After the snowfall on Easter morning, the "neighbor" spontaneous front yard, hat and rake available to the grandchildren, a snowman maken.Borgsom was almost in my bank account earlier than I was back home.

We had rented two houses at the same time, they were neat and clean. The beds were good and the bathrooms were clean. Next to the house is a small terrace where you can sit in the sun and can watch the beautiful Limburg. Valkenburg is a few kilometers away and also Wijlre has a nice cafe and restaurant. The cottage is not very luxurious and the bedrooms are on the tight side and lack of storage. The photo 's give a good idea of the luxury of the house. There is ample space for car' s, the driveway is shared with the adjacent house of the owners.

Wijlre is a good starting point to visit the Gaia Zoo, so with children. Cyclists and mountain bikers can indulge themselves on the narrow roads and hills of South Limburg. Walking through the Geuldal is recommended.

While we were driving we all enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. We were received very hospitable. The two vacation homes were well suited to each other for our family wekend with 14 people. The houses were practical, yet comfortably furnished. Recommended!

Thirteen people strong (aged from 56 to 0.5 years), we had a giant cozy reunion of the family. Nobody walked together in the way, each went his own way. Every morning early made (in varying combinations) a group directly from the farm long walks across fields and sunken roads. Beautiful vegetation along the trails and waters. Aachen and Maastricht brought urban scattering.

After the great reception by the hostess we had a nice weekend with 12 people in a beautiful house. The house was very clean and the beds were already made. Everything you need is in the house. The young among us only the wifi was missed.

We were received very warmly by the owner. There was a pie on the table and large cakes were laid out. The house was fine. Plenty of good beds and there were even two bedrooms left. Everything was super clean. From the house you are immediately in nature.

Upon arrival there was, as I had already read in the other reviews, a delicious pie ready! The owner received us kindly and gave clear instructions regarding the rules and showed interest in our stay. The area is beautiful, also in January, with a range of possible activities such as cave biking in Sibbe, Valkenburg or a visit to the Gulpener Brewery (recommended). We have also benefited from the festivities in the run-up to Carnival.

Zeer hartelijke ontvangst door betrokken eigenaresse met Limburgse vla en koeken. Appartementen waren brandschoon met goede beddden. Uitrusting prima op orde. We waren met 14 personen en hadden 2 separate appartementen geboekt die toegankelijk zijn via tussendeur. Vanaf 1 terras prachtig uitzicht op op Geuldal en Keutenberg. Hoeve centraal gelegen en vlakbij oa Valkenburg.

Wij als groep vijftigers hebben hier een prachtig weekend gehad. De ontvangst was heel hartelijk met 2 lekkere vlaaien als surprise De locatie was prima verzorgt en een mooie uitvalsbasis om te fietsen en te golven. Kortom een aanrader .

Lekker ontvangen met Limburgse vlaai! Langs de weg naar Valkenburg, maar erg rustig in het veld gelegen. Vriendelijke gastvrouwen en alles keurig verzorgd. Broodjes moet je kopen in het dorp, want een oven is er niet.

Bij aankomst een uitermate gemoedelijke, vriendelijke ontvangst, compleet met Limburgse vlaai. De woning was kraakhelder en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prachtige ligging en een aantal toeristische attracties binnen 'handbereik'. Kortom: een aanrader voor mensen die gesteld zijn op rust. Wij zijn zeer tevreden.

Wij hebben een heel leuk weekend gehad.Wij waren met het hele gezin 10 pers. en kleinkind.Het was handig van dit huis dat er een tussen deur was,kon ons kleinkind rustig slapen, en had ze geen last dat wij sávonds wat herrie maakte. Ook voor een lekkere wandeling langs de maisvelden en bos en wijlre,was heerlijk.Ook voor leuk uitstapje naar valkenburg,maastricht was ook heerlijk.En de vrolijke tweelingzussen waren ook erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het weer was ook goed,dus het was super Groetjes Fam Hooymans

Ook wij kunnen van harte de ervaringen van de vorige gasten onderschrijven. Wij hebben de twee huisjes gehuurd voor een lang weekend om iets te vieren met onze kinderen en kleinkinderen. Totaal 12 gasten; geen enkel probleem om ze onder te brengen. Alles was keurig in orde. In het begin was ik zelfs bang dat het te mooi en er wat zou beschadigen door de speelsheid van de kleinkinderen. Gelukkig was het redelijk goed weer en konden we veel buiten in de prachtige natuur wandelen. Na de sneeuwval op Paasmorgen, stelde de "buurman" spontaan zijn voortuin, hoed en hark ter beschikking aan de kleinkinderen, om een sneeuwpop te maken. Borgsom was nog bijna eerder op mijn bankrekening dan dat ik weer thuis was.

We hebben met onze familie een heerlijk lang weekend in deze oude boerderij gehad. Het huis/keuken is van bijna alle gemakken voorzien. Bedden sliepen heerlijk, douches waren prima. We een top weekend gehad.

Wij hadden beide huisjes tegelijkertijd gehuurd, deze waren netjes en schoon. De bedden waren goed en ook de badkamers waren netjes. Naast het huisje is een klein terrasje waar je lekker in de zon kan zitten en naar het prachtige Limburgse land kan kijken. Valkenburg is op een paar kilometer afstand en ook Wijlre heeft nog een leuk cafeetje en restaurantje. Het huisje is niet heel luxe en ook de slaapkamers zijn aan de krappe kant en missen kastruimte. De foto's geven een goed beeld van de luxe van het huis. Er is voldoende plaats voor auto's, de oprit wordt wel gedeeld met de aanliggende woning van de eigenaren.

Wijlre is een goed uitgangspunt voor een bezoek aan de Gaia Zoo, dus met kinderen. Wielrenners en mountainbikers kunnen hun hart ophalen op de smalle wegen en heuvels van Zuid-Limburg. Wandelen door het Geuldal is een aanrader.

Terwijl we aan kwamen rijden genoten we al van de prachtige omgeving. We werden heel gastvrij ontvangen. De twee vakantie huizen aan elkaar waren zeer geschikt voor ons familie wekend met 14 personen. De huizen waren praktisch, doch gezellig ingericht. Een aanrader!

Dertien personen sterk (in de leeftijd van 56 tot 0,5 jaar) hadden we een reuze gezellige reünie van de familie. Niemand liep elkaar in de weg, ieder ging zijn eigen gang. Iedere ochtend vroeg maakte (in wisselende samenstelling) een groepje direct vanuit de boerderij urenlange wandelingen over velden en holle wegen. Prachtige vegetatie langs de paden en wateren. Aken en Maastricht brachten stadse verstrooiing.

Na de prima ontvangst door de gastvrouw hebben wij een gezellig weekend gehad met 12 personen in een prachtig vakantiehuis. Het huis was zeer schoon en de bedden waren al opgemaakt. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is in het huis aanwezig. Door de jongeren onder ons werd alleen de wifi gemist.

We werden erg hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaresse. Op de tafel stond een vlaai en waren er grote koeken klaargelegd. Het huis was prima in orde. Voldoende goede bedden en er waren zelfs twee slaapkamers over. Alles was super schoon. Vanuit het huis ben je meteen in de natuur.

Bij aankomst stond er, zoals ik al in de andere reviews had gelezen, een heerlijke vlaai klaar! De eigenaresse ontving ons vriendelijk en gaf heldere instructies aangaande de regels en toonde interesse in ons verblijf. De omgeving is prachtig, ook in januari, met een scala aan mogelijk activiteiten zoals grotbiken in Sibbe, Valkenburg of een bezoek aan de Gulpener Brouwerij (aanrader). We hebben tevens mogen profiteren van de feestelijkheden in de aanloop van Carnaval.
