The 6-person houses at Resort Poort van Amsterdam are all located on the water and there are three different types.
There is type Munt (NL-1154-02). This detached house contains a bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two more bedrooms, a bathroom, and a separate toilet.
The detached holiday home Florijn (NL-1154-03) is more spacious than the Munt. It contains a bedroom with en-suite bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor, you will find two more bedrooms and a second bathroom with toilet.
Finally, there is the attached Munt type (NL-1154-13). This is a semi-detached variant of the Munt described above. In the living room there is a soundproof connecting door, by which two houses of this type can be linked. With that, a detached, 12-person holiday home (NL-1154-16) is made.
All houses are furnished in a modern and comfortable manner. They contain a luxury kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. There is a fine garden with terrace and garden furniture, and each house has a parking space for one car. The layout can vary. So it is possible that bathrooms are attached to the bedrooms (en suite) or in the central hall/landing.
At Resort Poort van Amsterdam, there are also 8 and 12-person holiday homes for rent. Would you rather book an apartment? This is also possible; there are apartments for 4 and 8 people.

Resort Poort van Amsterdam is characterised by the unique location. It does not get any more genuinely North Holland than this: the authentic town of Uitdam and its surroundings, the water of the Markermeer and the lively capital Amsterdam, just fifteen minutes away by car.
The resort, which opened in 2016, has a broad selection of different, luxurious holiday homes and apartments. The entire resort was built in the style that you might expect here: authentic on the outside, but equipped inside with all luxury, comfort, and amenities. And that is truly the case for the whole resort. You get the feeling that you are staying in a separate village.
Because practically all of the houses are directly on water-thoroughfare, Resort Poort van Amsterdam is especially suited to water sports enthusiasts due to the beach, the water sports centre and the marina by appointment. But nature lovers will also find these surroundings interesting. The many water fowl, extensive meadows, and diverse nature reserves in the immediate vicinity offer plenty of opportunities.
On the resort itself, you will not have a moment of boredom. There are various facilities for young and old. These vary from a covered swimming pool to playgrounds and from a spa to a hip, stylish restaurant with a cosy bar and terrace. Here you can enjoy wonderful dishes or simply enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. For fresh rolls in the morning and the small daily groceries, you will find what you need in the mini-market. For the little ones, there is an indoor play paradise.
There is plenty to do in the area. There are various public golf courses. Fort Beemster is located just 15 km away. In this impressive building listed as a Unesco World Heritage site, a unique spa and wellness centre and restaurant have been tastefully created. The combination of historical elements, the surprising design, and the natural environment of the Beemsterpolder will make a visit into an unforgettable experience. The capital Amsterdam is located just 13 km away. This city needs no further explanation, which you must have seen. Cities like Haarlem (40 km) and Alkmaar (42 km) are also certainly worth a visit. Cosy terraces and restaurants and, of course, shopping streets. Alkmaar is the fifth-largest shopping town in the Netherlands. The fishing village of Volendam (14 km) is also worth a visit. Do you want to really experience North Holland life in the 18th and 19th centuries? Then visit the Zaanse Schans (18 km). Old trades, special museums, working windmills, and magnificent old houses, you will find it all here.

Bad! We had booked a house at the water, specifically indicated and called for. You could not do anything for us and we were not really kindly helped on the phone. The house was very dirty on arrival, also reported. Little inventory in the kitchen. 2 soup bowls for a 6 person house? No cutting board, no mop, there was clutter and stuff from previous guests all over the hall cupboards.
