Great place to stay if you want to explore North Holland, The accommodation is just a short walk from the cheese market, and we loved cycling through the countryside, The heating kept us cozy, and the TV was perfect for relaxing in the evening,

We had a very pleasant stay in the house of martin & tom. no noise was heart beside the chicken , the ducks and our canal-goose. I think we bought all of the Edam cheese during our stay and it might have been even fantastic if only the weather would have been a bit more sunny...we will surely come back.

This holiday home was just right for our family. The two bedrooms offered enough space for everyone, and the bathroom was modern and clean. The garden area was an added bonus to enjoy the fresh air. A nice retreat in Edam.

The open kitchen was a dream for someone who loves to cook! During our stay, we prepared various meals and found everything we needed. The combination microwave was particularly handy. Moreover, the terrace outside was a great place for dinner under the stars.

Cottage is cozy and fully furnished. Great beds! Despite the cold (and the high gas price) it was nice and warm inside when we arrived. Bottle of wine on arrival was also nice. Unloading and loading on arrival / departure is a minus. If one of the few parking bays with a parking card in the street is free, you do not have to walk 500 m to the parking lot. Or you have to brutally put the car in front of the door for a few minutes (narrow street). But in itself this house is a must! Tip: The bus to Amsterdam CS only takes 27 minutes. Boarding 500m. from cottage.

The house is located directly on the waterway and is very comfortable. Everything in this house is well cared for and beautifully finished. You have a seat in front of the house on the water and a seat in the back of the garden. Although you are in the middle of Edam, it is very quiet in the house. The birds wake you up in the morning. The owner is friendly and helpful and offered us a tour through the canals with his whisper boat. That was worth it. Edam is a beautiful town with many monumental stepped gables. A big difference with the busy twin town of Volendam.Ook nice but we found Edam much more fun.Echt highly recommended, Edam and this house!

Very beautiful house directly on a canal in the heart of the old town of Edam, Well furnished with two bedrooms upstairs, bathroom, living room, and kitchen downstairs, The stairs were fine and not as steep as usual in the Netherlands, We missed nothing in the furnishings, I really liked the colorful dishes, A highlight for me was the small terrace right by the water and the ducks that immediately came when we were outside, hoping for food, Free parking about a 5-minute walk away, supermarket Albert Heijn nearby and also nice restaurants.

Upon arrival, the owner already walked in with his shoes while I indicated that we have a child of 13 months walking around, I thought it was dirty seeing that the garden seems to be rebuilt and there was a lot of sand and mud here and there. Although I indicated that he did not want this, he walked through the whole house with his shoes. We find the pictures misleading, the house is literally in the backyard of the owners. You have to go through a firebreak past their house and then the garden enters where the house is located. The pictures are taken in such a way that it looks nicer and offers more privacy than what it really is. You are literally 5 steps away from their back door! this gentleman was sitting at both of our daughters, one of them gave a slap with a magazine to her head and the youngest stroked her curls. hairdresser ". there was no microwave in the house but an oven coffee machine was very dirty so we did not drink coffee !! there was a hole in the grate on the floor near the heating in the house where our daughter could be hurt ugly there we only used their place mats to put something over it. lots of condensation on the windows no good insulation we had to open the windows every day "while it was cold. You can't park your car in front of the door but about 800 meters away. Above it was clean further but it is not entirely true what others have written here we have experienced and experienced it differently.fam. Elcock - rotterdam

We were warmly welcomed by the landlord. The house is individually decorated and we felt right at home. The direct residential environment is typically Dutch and we like it very much. Edam is a beautiful little town with many beautiful destinations. Other cities such as Amsterdam, Hoorn, Alkmaar etc. are easily accessible by bus and car. After Volendam you can walk nice. And Egmont and Bergen aan Zee invite you to swim in suitable weather. A great vacation.

We had a lovely stay at this holiday home in Edam! The garden was a perfect spot for our morning coffee, and we enjoyed cooking together in the well-equipped open kitchen, The living room was cozy, and we appreciated the international TV channels for our downtime, Highly recommend!

Just back from a great weekend! The living/dining room was spacious and inviting, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The two single beds and the single bed were comfortable, and we loved having our own space. We would definitely come back!

What a charming little refuge! The private garden was a highlight, especially with the garden furniture for relaxing in the evening. I loved the modern bathroom and how thoughtfully everything was arranged. Perfect for families or couples.

A charming little house, surrounded by nature, right by the canal and in the heart of the city. The landlords are very friendly and lent us their boat with a small motor to ride through the canals. One should definitely visit the cheese market on Tuesdays; all the restaurants are recommended. Bicycle trips to Hoorn and Marken through picturesque fields were breathtaking. With the bus, which is very close by, you can easily travel to Amsterdam. We will definitely come back.
