Nice house but it was delivered to us extremely dirty. Dirty sheets, they smelled of more people. The same for the sofas... not to mention the floor. Or the bathrooms... really shameful. Two inches of dust under the bed... luckily I brought a pillow and some sheets.

What a lovely place! The fireplace added a cozy touch to our evenings, and we enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden. It was a fantastic base for our day trips to Florence and Siena.

Nice welcome and restaurant tips from the landlord.

Unfortunately, access is very difficult due to the unpaved road. In addition, the very winding drive from Pistoia to the accommodation takes about 40 minutes.

The facility is secluded in the middle of the forest and offers only a sparse interior and exterior facilities for 6 people. The accommodation was not a feel-good place due to the large number of insects and vermin (beetles, spiders, ants). The rooms are very dark and humid, so towels and sheets cannot dry. This also makes sleeping in the damp beds a torture.

The pool is about 100m away and is showing its age. We didn't use it because of the cold.

In summary, the holiday was unfortunately disappointing for us and not relaxing.

Borgo Migliorini is nothing short of a magical place. An hidden gem tucked away in the beatiful Abetone mountain, it provided a marvellous frame for our wedding which we hosted here in mid-June. Blessed by fabulous weather, our guests raved about their stay in this cabin and were just mesmerized by the beauty of it all. The cabins are built with ex-novo materials salvaged by the hamlet's owner, who descends from a long line of illustrious artists and put his very soul in the restoration of this hamlet by scattering pieces made by his ancestors over the centuries. If you are not too fussy about things being polished, are a nature lover and rustic is your style, look no further. Great value for money.
