Description
Case Popiglio is beautifully restored and divided into two apartments. These can be rented individually or together.
Both apartments are completely independent and there is no internal connection between them.
The ground floor apartment, called Tramonto, has an area of 95 square meters and is suitable for 4 people (+2). It has a double bedroom with bathroom with shower and a twin bedroom with shower (also suitable for disabled people).
The large living area with open kitchen is equipped with fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The table can accommodate up to 10 people.
In the living room there is a comfortable double sofa bed. Wi-Fi and satellite television are also available.
At guests' disposal there is a large porch with table, chairs, a stone barbecue and a large garden.
Wood for the fireplace and charcoal for the barbecue is available for guests.
The Alba apartment (85 square meters) is suitable for up to 4 people (+2). Access is direct from the garden, without stairs. This is thanks to the location of the complex, which is located on a hill.
You enter directly into the living area where we find a kitchen equipped with electric oven, fridge, freezer, table with chairs, a large stone fireplace and a comfortable double sofa bed.
In the sleeping area there is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
A large covered terrace overlooks the garden and the forest. Here there is also a dining table for pleasant outdoor meals.
Outside, a private garden with barbecue is available to guests.
The property has a large swimming pool (12x6m) with Roman steps. The swimming pool is heated.
Around there are deck chairs and umbrellas available to guests of both apartments.
In addition, right next to the pool there is an orchard and guests are allowed to pick ripe fruit.
In the lower part of the 12-hectare garden there is a vegetable garden and also in this case guests can collect the ripe products. The owners also, if desired, bring fresh eggs.
The hosts live nearby but have their own private driveway and garden and only come to clean the pool and take care of the garden, and are also always available if their guests have any questions.

Location and surroundings of object
Case Popiglio is located on the peaceful Pistoiese mountain.
Here the green still dominates the spaces, time seems to have stopped, the silence is interrupted only by the chirping of birds or by the bells of some countries.
This area offers many activities in the name of nature and relaxation. If, on the other hand, you want to visit the most beautiful and characteristic Tuscan cities, they can be reached in one or two hours by car.

Popiglio is located in the province of Pistoia, one of the Tuscan towns that is quite unknown and yet has many monuments and places that are very interesting.
Popiglio once belonged to the Conti Guidi and still has the remains of the medieval castle and Tūrme as well as the Pieve Santa Maria Assunta from 1271
The famous bridges:
Il ponte di Castruccio - here was the border between Lucca and Pistoia in the Middle Ages, the house of the guard can still be seen on the bridge.
Ponte Sospeso di San Marcello Pistoiese
listed in the Guineness Book in 1990 as the longest pedestrian bridge, it was built in 1923 over the river Lima, linking the two sides ( Popiglio on one side and Ponte Benedetta on the other) So people could walk only 227m over the bridge instead of 6km over the road and get to work faster.
It is 1.3m wide and 36m high.
On the Lima ( river) you can go rafting. From very easy to more difficult tours.
The Orridi di Botri (a canyon) are about 22 km away - there you can walk up the canyon with a guide.

There is another really great one near Barga (about 30 km away)
In the Lima (river) you can swim in various places, some of them have great little waterfalls

Lake Scaffaiolo ( 1800m) is almost on top of the mountain Monte Cupolino ( 1853 m) is something for hikers.
Lucchio - is unique in the way it clings to the Hūgel.
It is the border between Lucca and Pistoia and you can walk up to the castle ruins. (Winter) photos and a few words here:
Sambuca Pistoiese dates from the second half of the 11th century
San Marcello Pistoiese- on a hill surrounded by woods, you can see the past centuries here. The Pieve from the 10th century Ancient streets and buildings.
Gavinana- still has the shape and structure of the medieval village. The 12th century Pieve still houses an 18th century organ.
