Do you dream of spending your holiday on a French island? L'Île-de-Ré, accessible by bridge, is the place for you. This holiday home located nearby Sainte-Marie-de-Ré is only 300 meters from the beach and the sea. The accommodation is on one level and the windows and green shutters are in the characteristic style of the region. If you have children, you can let them play in the play garden, specially designed for them and accessible by a gate from your terrace. The rental is semi-detached, but thanks to the fence, it offers complete privacy.
The island is a true paradise for cyclists. They can traverse the entire length and breadth of it along bike paths. The beach has a beach with lifeguards just 2 km away by bike. The fortified town of Saint-Martin-de-Ré (8 km) boasts a citadel and a little harbour with fantastic food and restaurants. The oysters are a must!
The historic harbour town of La Rochelle (13 km) is easily accessible by car. Take a tour of the Old Harbour and visit the Tower of Saint Nicolas dating from the 14th century. There you'll also find the largest aquarium in Europe.
Les Baleines (24 km) and its lighthouse are located at the westernmost point of the island. From there you'll have a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. The old naval city of Rochefort (about 50 km) is also worth visiting. There you can admire the ship, the Hermione, a famous reproduction of General Lafayette's frigate. Again by car, you can also visit the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park (33 km).

An excellent fully furnished cottage with private tuin.Ligt in a wooded area with lots vakantiehuisjes.Strand 300 meters at low tide stony. Between Le Bois Plage and La Couarde is a large and wide zandstrand.Ile de Ré is a great island with many white villages with lots of flowers. Perfect for cycling. Good restaurant in La Couarde. The weather is often better than in La Rochelle which only 20 km further. Compared to the islands rose.

As expected. Very clean house. All present. Very small bathroom (doors open inward) with bath (in this case, better to have a shower) .Beautiful (official) paths. Roads within the villages very poor, bumps and potholes, not a straight asphalt. Sea (no beach access) 300 m right, but the beautiful beach access is 2 km away. Better than garden furniture on the foto.Heerlijke barbecue / outdoor fireplace.

For us as a family with two young children a wonderful house. Private terrace and then also a courtyard with playground. This shared with another house. The house was absolutely equipped. From oyster to bread knife, from dishwasher to microwave. Totally fine. Walking distance from the beach (fine sand and rocks at low tide). The house is not big, but very complete. Enjoyed our place and environment. Il de Re has real island atmosphere.

Nice house, small, but we did so mainly sat outside in warmer weather. Great kitchen to prepare meals in. Near the beach, you can walk to. Good location. Children are not ideal as they are looking to their friends unless you have the luck that the house next to you happens to be booked by a family. Furthermore, lots of privacy.

We had a wonderful holiday and for chldren playing in the garden where two houses were in. Cottage was not very spacious but you live mostly outdoors. The island is very beautiful with beautiful beaches.

We were well received there was a bottle of water and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The cottage was fine as in the pictures. You have everything you need. Behind the gate of the terrace and garden you have a nice piece of land where the children can play and cannot be closed off with an electric gate. need the car for everything but the distances are not great.Beautiful beach Les Trousses Chemie, tasty resto Chai Pepette, take away pizza in Ste Marie definitely recommended.Charmic villages that make you happy to wander around with everywhere the wild roses and others, we will definitely return.
