Our stay in the apartment in Olsberg was simply delightful! The location is perfect for nature lovers and active vacationers, with the Rothaarstieg hiking trail nearby. We spent our days walking and exploring the stunning Sauerland region. The apartment itself was modern and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a relaxing retreat. We especially enjoyed the garden terrace, which was a lovely place to unwind after a day of adventure. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for families or groups looking for a cozy getaway!

We had to pick up the keys from the owner. However, the owner was located half an hour from the cottage. A small disappointment when you have just a drive of nearly four hours behind. Once the owner arrived we had to wait until almost 15 minutes until someone opened the door and wait half an hour to the correct data was found. Once at the house it turned out that there was no adjoining garden. A pity since we were two families with small children. The garden that was there was lower and at a precipice down. The pebble garden like the one pictured in the photo is then true to the house, but was used as a parking lot by a tenant who rented another part of the house. No playground for children because it is directly adjacent to a main road. The house was also equipped with everything. Very, very clean! Here we were there to talk about. However, we could not find a broom or vacuum cleaner so you surely was in a mess with little kids after a week. The windows were equipped with electric blinds / curtains. We moesten eerst de sleutel ophalen bij de eigenaar. De eigenaar was echter een half uur van het huisje gesitueerd. Een kleine tegenvaller als je net een autorit van bijna 4 uur achter de rug hebt. Eenmaal bij de eigenaar aangekomen moesten we eerst bijna 15 minuten wachten tot er iemand open deed en een half uur wachten tot de juiste gegevens gevonden waren. Eenmaal aangekomen bij het huis bleek dat er geen aangrenzende tuin aanwezig was. Erg jammer aangezien we met twee gezinnen met kleine kinderen waren. De tuin die er was lag lager gelegen en aan een afgrond naar beneden. De kiezeltuin zoals die op de foto staat afgebeeld ligt dan weliswaar aan het huis, maar werd gebruikt als parkeerplaats door een huurder die een ander deel van het huis huurde. Ook geen speelplek voor kinderen omdat deze direct aan een doorgaande weg grenst. Het huis was verder van alles voorzien. Erg, erg schoon! Hier waren wij er over te spreken. We konden echter nergens een bezem of stofzuiger vinden waardoor je na een week met kleine kinderen toch wel in een puinhoop zat. De ramen waren voorzien van electrische zonneschermen/gordijnen. Echter meerdere waren defect. Zo ook die van de slaapkamer waar de kinderen moesten slapen. Anders opgelost (handdoek voor de ramen gehangen) Al met al moet ik zeggen dat de foto's van het interieur kloppen, mooi, schoon etc. De foto´s van de tuin zijn echter misleidend. Het lijkt als of het huis is voorzien van een prachtige tuin, maar dit is beslist niet zo. Het appartement boven is prachtig ruim. Als je de trap af gaat kom je bij een kleiner appartement. Weliswaar schoon, maar mag zich eigenlijk geen appartement noemen. Het is ook niet duidelijk vanaf de foto's welke foto's er bij welk appartement horen. Conclusie mooi huis, maar niet geschikt voor gezinnen met kleine kinderen door direct aangrenzende doorlopende weg en geen tuin aan het huis.
