We had a wonderful time at this property. The house is fully equipped and the view is really beautiful. The owners are very hospitable. The children could have fun in the garden and with the toys which is imminent and that they could use. We have made several trips from the house to Panorama Park, Wuppertal Zoo, Legoland Oberhausen and even experienced a local feast. Beautiful region and beautifully situated holiday home on the side of a slope with a unique view from the terrace. House has everything you need, also nice and fresh in warm weather. Owners are perfect hosts, respect privacy but are always ready for a kind word and lots of tips for trips or walks in the area. The small gifts such as a beer and a piece of chocolate on arrival, the fresh rolls on Sunday morning or an ice cream for our daughter and, last but not least, the honey that they produce themselves with their bees make it a unique hospitality experience. The village of Varste is small and very quiet but an ideal base for excursions in the area. Panorama Park, Wissen Wildniss and Atta Höle within less than a 20-minute drive as top attractions in addition to beautiful marked walks through mountains and valleys.

In terms of weather we had everything. Snowstorms and hail, sun and rain. For a family with two young children (11 and 9) this is a nice house with adequate room for maneuver. We have been in the house with holiday (husband, wife, two children aged 10 and 8 years) as a family. The cottage is clean and tidy inside. Everything is there, the kitchen is complete with oven, microwave, fridge etc. (no dishwasher but that was no problem for us). The interior is something corny, but that should not spoil the fun for sure. The view is fantastic. The owners are welcoming people and very helpful. They were very kind to our children and there was plenty of toys available. The area has a lot to do, both for couples and for those with families. Think of the Panorama wildlife park and the cave. Beautiful hiking trails we made. Fortunately the weather was good and we could really enjoy the nature. It is definitely recommended! This cottage with its owners will receive a big 10! We have had great time the house was neat and clean. nice view of open field, forest and mountains, the owner and his wife are friendly and helpful people. a beautiful area for walking or car driving people who love peace and nature pieces then this is a must.

Delicious, unforgettable, warm, (despite the cold outside), definitely a vacation to return. Very beautiful surroundings, sea view friendly people. I think the most beautiful caves are seen from Europe. Beautiful villages like in a fairy tale. And very, very calm.

Clean and nice apartment with lots of toys for our daughter of 3. The bathroom is in need of updating, but otherwise had a very nice holiday in a beautiful area with many hiking trails and attractions at a short distance.

Two days before we left for the holiday home we received an email from the owner asking how old our children were so they could do something for them. On arrival the key was already in the front door, for our two daughters there were some sweets And a pack of drinks ready and for us there was also some sweets and a beer in the fridge, and there was enough toys available. The owner, a couple Was very welcoming and friendly, the view from the cottage was gorgeous.The kids could not get enough of playing in the garden where a trampoline swings etc. were present.We enjoyed it.

We had a good holiday. It is a spacious house, inside it is a bit dark. Owner is very welcoming. Toy and some treats was ready for our children. Beautiful surroundings with plenty of walking. Walking map is available in-house. Definitely recommended!

The apartment was beautiful: a great view, enough space, a beautiful garden, enough privacy, toys for the children, hospitable managers, a wonderful bed, a washing machine .... In short: a great place. The house was somewhat remote, within walking distance of the forest. Wonderfully quiet, but the car was needed for the supermarket, for example. This was accessible in about 15-20 minutes (aldi), so it was not really remote.

Great cool house, friendly landlords, beautiful views, safe area for children. With own washing machine. No freezer, dishwasher and beds are moderate. Outside lovely porch swing and sun loungers. And swings for the children in the garden.

Exactly what we have had a wonderful holiday (2 older couples). When we arrived the cold beer, a bottle of water and juice was in the fridge. There was even coffee and koffiemelkcupjes so that we could drink the same. We got great tips on what to do. Highly recommended.

It was a great week with all the days of good weather, Sauerland is beautiful with green hills, Hilchenbach 9 km further on prima found everything you may need, tourist office, post office, bank, ice cream parlor, bakery there very much eaten everything in walking distance a town to our hearts. You can assume the cottage there making small and nice trips.
